- The Lincoln formerly known as the MKX is now the Nautilus. Does this compact luxury rose smell just as sweet with another name? Excellent question that Kelley Blue Book's Lyn Woodward is happy to answer.

After a long time of never being impressed by Lincoln, this, the Aviator and the new Lincoln design language is so nice. I love it.
I don't know if I will ever love luxury Ford's. But I do appreciate Lincoln using actual names in their lineup right now.
I've been driving one for 8 months and I absolutely love it. Great ride, great power, (v6) I can squeal the tires by punching the gas. Very comfortable. Great air conditioning in AZ 100 degree heat. Has more electronics than I'll ever use but it is easy to navigate. Blue tooth works like a charm.
Lincoln is finally back to its former glory from a while ago ... and I absolutely love it ... that “chocolate covered cherry” maroon interior is flawless and reminds me of the ‘89 Town Car my family took on a road trip. Cadillac definitely has their work cut out for them at this point.
Still it would not sell well
Tino Miller The sales of the Nautilus are up some 25% over the outgoing MKX.
I'll say it again... after seeing the new offerings at Cadillac, Lincoln is REALLY 'eating Cady's lunch'.
Sorry but I think both Cadillac and Lincoln is killing it...
Not really. A new Escalade will be out before you know it, Lincoln doesn't have either a CT5 or CT4 competitor and they certainly don't have anything that'll hold a candle to the CT6.
@@mak450 in your opinion. Continental shits on all cadillacs
@@PCSPITTER4NY LOL Continental is dead. CT5 will live on in USA and China.
Really ? Hahaha check the sales numbers, the Escalade is outselling the navigator 2 to 1
After watching a aviator review, the interior is on a completely different planet then this. Hopefully the next nautilus comes sooner rather than later.
Yeah. To me, it looks like they took the Fusion's interior and installed it in this car.
This is the old, ugly interior. The Aviator is gorgeous, especially in comparison to this monstrosity. I'm surprised the review was so positive when the interior is so obviously pre-revision.
Aviator or grand Cherokee SRT / Trackhawk? Both can have leather wrapped lower panels as an option.
Dude these cars are fantastic.. look how beautiful this car is..
I have the same adaptive suspension setup in my MKZ. You really don't need a drive mode selector button because you can program both "D" and "S" on the shifter. If you want the car to always be in full sport mode, you can setup D that way. If you want only the sportiest suspension setting all the time, you can set D that way instead. Or, you can set S so that it's only the sport suspension mode and not the more aggressive throttle mapping if you want it that way. Once you set them up, you always have two "individual" modes that you can select any time you want.
Nice review !
I love the designs of LINCOLN !
NOBODY NOTICED !!!
When the car is parked, you can see the wheels on the left side are reversed designed when installed on the right side.🔄 Some car companies do manufacture right and left wheels...
I really like the way this lady reviews cars! She has the right amount of humor and light heartiness. Reminds me of the positive friend that you like to hang out with.
Great review! I’m really liking Lyn’s review videos. As far as the Lincoln goes, the Aviator is more for me than this, but it’s still a nice car.
Until the redesign comes out , there aren't many reasons to get this over the aviator. 🤷♂
Jordan Catcher other than price, size, economy, and price right?
It's cheaper and smaller, that's like saying there is no reason to get an x5 because of the x7.
The Corsair infotainment system is modernized..but Nautilus is so 10yrs ago Edge like....which is a dealbreaker
Price and the deals to be had are reasons. The Aviator will be in high demand for a while, so deals on these will be sweeter.
@@michaelsullivan8444 10 years ago? Sync 3 didnt debut on cars till 2015... to that point, it has also been updated since then.
Awesome job as always! Lyn your reviews are coming into your own. They’re enjoyable and entertaining. 2:30 and 6:00 are the money shots 😆 keep it up!
I love love love cars! As a kid I could name each brand, model and series at a glance and have always been a fan of Ford products.
I was the same way, everyone was always amazed that I knew all the models at 5 years old. Of course, that was 50 years ago when all you really had was GM, Ford, and Chrysler.
The Nautilus would benefit from having an optional Reserve Appearance package to make the black plastic cladding be painted instead in the chosen body paint color by the person leasing or buying the Nautilus so that it matches from top to bottom without the jarring contrast of the black plastic cladding which detracts from the beauty of the refresh design for this model. And the Black Label should include that package standard
Can we have Lyn reviewing every automobile on this planet? She is killin' it
I've owned a nautilus for over 3 years now I would have to say its a great SUV 👍❤
Although I don't like the buttons selector but it's smart that they put it at the front of the driver
The one for 67k was cost 28k three years later
That’s what I’m still waiting for. Just found a used Black Label in my area for $38k so you just might be right.
I hope they update the Nautilus soon. It's nice but really showing it's age next to the Aviator and Corsair.
0:21 that's still the MKC. Lincoln isn't adopting the Corsair name until the 2020 refresh comes out.
70 grand!?! Come on Lincoln, you're good but not that good.
Michael Henville imo the grand Cherokee is a better buy. $67K will buy you a grand Cherokee SRT which will be way faster and you can get leather wrapped lower panels as an option.
Most fully loaded Nautiluses are in the mid to high $50k range. The tester is the super elite Black Label thus the big upcharge.
Very Preaty thank you for this video this helps me to make my finalized decision of what suv that’s on my agenda of which one that I’m going to get and my 3 picks are a 2021 Porsche, 2021 Benz gls,or my 2021 nataulis licolyn great video🌹
Is the AWD option, a Permanent AWD ?
It would be great to know if the vehicles you test require regular unleaded or premium fuel. This plays an important factor in overall cost to operate. Huge fan of the channel. Thanks.
I think the Nautilus can run on regular. I have an MKZ that does.
Yes good question- the 2.7 Twin Turbo is designed for regular unleaded. Not premium.
I own a Nautilus. It can safely run on regular, but at reduced power. To get all the advertised power, you have to use premium.
I'm confused as to why the X3 and GLC was compared to this. Neither is in the same class. A x5 comparison would have yielded much more information.
It happens all the time because they are the same price range. Similarly priced and sized competitors are RX and XT5. The X5 is priced more along the lines of the Aviator, which of course is in the same class as the X7/GLS. Goes to show how overpriced the Germans are.
@@craigd10 Compare apples to apples or dont bother comparing. If I am thinking about a vehicle of this size its because i need a vehicle of this size. So they should tell me about other vehicles of the same size i might also want to consider. Nautilus, X5, MDX are all competing. RDX does not compete in this class its too small. TO review, tell me about vehicles in the class then tell who is more or less expensive in the same class. The SUV market is way to crowded.
@@TruthFLA I agree 100%. One thing: MDX is not in the Nautilus' class either. It is 3 row crossover that is larger than Nautilus. It competes with Aviator. The Lexus RX, Caddy XT5, X5, GLE, are the closest competitors to Nautilus in size, though all of those save XT5 are now offered with optional 3rd rows.
@@craigd10 MDX has and always will be a RX competitor. Some of the mid size SUVs decided to add 3rd row. But they are still mid size SUVs. So they are in the same class.
They dont determine class by feature. They determine it by size.
Howdy, great review as always!😸😸
Thank you for this video this helps me to make my decision between the 3 vehicles that I have on my agenda befor my finalize decision and they are 2021 Porsche,2021 Benz gls or this licolyn nautilus
5:04 I think Lyn tooted the Nautilus’ horn.
As the owner of the MKX, One expression… mmmmmmm. I do love the interiors colour of this model.
Handsome car. Also appears to spurn the idiotic trend of "sporty SUVs".
I know the 710 S when I see it! Props for driving around Long Beach 😅
Whats up with the audio recording in the cabin? It sounds like someones rubbing a sweater while shes talking.
never had a lincoln but it was time for a new vehicle . i shopped around you know the usual stuff . until i landed at an LINCOLN DEALER . looked around and then i saw 2017 lincoln mkx . so i asked about it was a leased vehicle i was OKEY ? so i took out for a drive . let me say this MKX aka the nautilus is not a sports car . this luxury anyhow so test drove it impressive motor 2.7 6 cylinder twin turbo . i was taken back the pick up and go getting on highways . smooth ride hardly any noise . the inside still the new car smell . and it was my color black on black . so i sat after the test drive for a while i have to say mine has more bells and whistles then i need . i don't use bluetooth and on and on ...its a 2017 MKX reserve ans the mileage 22,680 plus i got the remaining warranty 4 years plus bumper to bumper and free oil changes ,car wash , and get this when its time for an oil change they come pick up the car leave you a loaner free . and return your car when done . and all the stuff lincoln offers . the only way you can appreciate the nautilus is drive it . or get a leased 2018 MKX with low mileage . it's a crossover and its perfect for someone that's looking for this type of vehicle .
Another great review!
I prefer this over the X3 any day. She didn’t mention standard apple car play/android auto which BMW still won’t offer standard. The lesser expensive trims are still a bargain and American cars always receive better discounts than foreign vehicles.
The Nautilus would compete with the X5 based on size. The upcoming Corsair (The soon to be former MKC) would compete with the X3.
The MKX/Nautilus is a dream to drive, as quiet as a coffin 6 ft under, rides like a dream, the turbo engine is zippy and REQUIRES AWD, tech is excellent... reserve is the way to go. The interior is not the most luxurious, and the black label is too expensive as a result of the barely cutting it at 50k for the interior.
Robert Christopher McG my thoughts exactly!
For long drives, what is the most comfortable small SUV? It's not my CR-V.
Don’t like the location of the gear buttons. Too easy to accidentally hit those buttons while playing with the infotainment system.
It's a Lincoln that's on the Naughty list. The Nautilus. Ha. Badam tsh.
Facia is Audi Q7
is it a fancy ford edge?
I hope the next gen is on the CD6 rwd platform.
All future Lincolns are expected to move to the new D6 platform except Corsair.
MKX with a new bumper?
that chocolate interior is pretty sweet
i want those wheels
You can get the 400hp 2.7 too.
if they made it a bit cheaper it would be a no brainer
I agree
Isn't the transmission the new 10 speed? Not eight speed.
Riyad Kalla 10-Speed is used in the longitudinal drivetrains.
Everyone: *post review of newly released car*
Kbb: *finally gets around to a car released the year before*
*sips tea furiuosly*
Backseat Bomb and while the others were rushing, KBB was taking their sweet time and giving us an excellent, informative, well-crafted and edited review.
Hahaha
70 grand gets you a 2019 landcruiser VXS 5.7 V8 where i live
MyZhyar And comes with a line of credit for fuel.
Not where a gallon of fuel costs around 1.8$
People buy what they want.
Lincoln in the United States is a prestigious nameplate unlike Toyota.
And will outlive the Lincoln by at least 30 years
@@baselhs Times have changed! Lincoln for me!❤🇱🇷
So we can put it 20,000 leagues under the sea were belongs?
I am surprised at the "interior" comment by the reviewer. I would say it appears dated compared to its siblings.
Aspect Deep definitely paid to say those things. This interior is terrible, especially that the Corsair and Aviator are our during the time of this review
6:18 is that... is that a fart?
No... what?
So, James is “that guy” in the office who awkwardly massages co-workers. A rare look into KBB office dynamics ;)
The headlamps kinda look like they're from old Volvo models back in 2006-2016...
I still prefer the Lincoln Navigator.
Mahinda Githaiga you prefer a large and much more expensive SUV? You don’t say...
@@ALMX5DP but I do say
Her jacket kept rubbing on the mic😖
Most crossovers/suvs look the same to me
Now that's what the Lincoln is suppose to look llike even if it's a baby Lincoln.
Too bad Lincoln didn’t give the interior an Aviator like make over .
Why didn't they just use the same interior of as the Nav and Av. this is ugly
It came out in before those two. This was just a refresh.
This is nice.. but the interior is okay
Nautilus is not an all new model - it is a mid-cycle refresh and renaming of the MKX originally released in 2016. New design will come in 2022 model year and then you'll be asking why didn't they use the new Nautilus interior for Aviator and Navigator.
Bmw x5 rivals ?
Looks so much like an older Q7 from the front
Those awd mileage numbers stink for both engines.
What are you comparing it to though? I can't think of any luxury competitors for this thing.
Those numbers in the video were pre-production estimates. The final numbers are better. For example, 2.7T with AWD now rated at 19 city, 26 hwy, up from the 18, 25 in the video. Competitive with anything of similar size and power.
Always down play the base model!
$67,000 ........ ridiculous
That's for fully loaded Black Label. It starts in the mid 40s. Fully loaded Lexus RX and Volvo XC60 breaches $60k too, and the Germans will take you into the $80k range.
finally i found a normal car reviewer plus a fucking hot chic as bonus.
Nice looking Vehicle but I will take my Lexus RX 350 all day everyday!!!
I love mine
I love lyn.
It sounds like the Lincoln Naughty List. Lol
WHY TF does this company HAVE SO MANY SUVS?
Because people are only buying SUVs
Sorry. But no luxury vehicle should be fwd.
You might want to tell Audi that seeing as how they're entire lineup is FWD based with the exception of the R8 V10 RWS model.
Craig D thats why i would never buy audi unreliable and shit cars. Well that goes for all german and korean cars at leath the bmw and merc dont understeer at the limit like fwd based audi. Total pos cars
No 30way seats. No deal.
CHOCOLATEY
Looks like San Diego
$67K ? what a joke
kk P what do you feel it should be priced at?
Price out the similar sized GLE and X5 with comparable equipment and we'll see if you're still laughing at the joke.
More Lyn woodward please, ^_^
Nice car but the interior is much better on the aviator
This too expensive for a Lincoln
Plenty of room to negotiate.
Nobody pays MSRP when buying them.
Most Nautilus will be in the mid $52-57k range.
Isn’t this a luxuriated Ford Edge? It’s almost like ford is trying to dress up Lynn and pass her off as Kristin Stewart
Jose George yes...it’s platform sharing. Much like RDX/CRV, Pilot/Odyssey/MDX, RAV4/NX, Highlander/RX, and of course Escalade/Yukon/Suburban
That depends. Do you consider the Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q7, and Porsche Cayenne to be a "luxuriated" VW Tourareg? Because they share the same platform too. Most manufacturers share platforms among various models now.
Craig D No Sir! For me luxury is a Rolls Royce Cullinan
@@josegeorge9512 well then good luck with your purchase of what you consider to be the sole luxury vehicle on the market.
Craig D Thanks. It’s my money after all
Upgrade to 4K cameras
The looks of the SUV got me pregnant.
$70000 for that eggshell looking car nah with that money I'll get a nice and shiny Escalade
Escalades start at 76k.... and that’s with no options whatsoever
@@brittoncoil2518 True, and you can't actually find an Escalade with no options on a lot - those are for rental companies. $80k minimum to get into most of them. Comparably equipped to the fully loaded Nautilus, they're at 95k - $100k.
oh goody geez another cross over
I like crossovers but I would like more sedans and cars but sadly everyone wants suvs...
Yey :D
No apple no Android no UV lights you'll never be able to compare to the rivals....smh
I got excited and enthused with the new facelift yes the outside looks good the lights front and back or dated. Back seat room is not good for anyone over 5'10....smh
Lexus RX. Acura and even the Huyndi Santa Fe does better.
Still ways to go to escape being a dressed up Escape
I’d get an RX over this any day
Not me. Shopped both and bought Nautilus. 21" wheels, 22 way massaging seats and 335 hp, 380 lb ft of torque, vs. 295 hp, 268, lb, ft , 20" wheels max and 10 way seats. All for the same money. And don't get me started on that Lexus front end.
Where the funny guy KB. ? Sorry, but this lady don't got it.
Show the goddamn dash layout, for fucks sake!
Looks like the older Audi Q5 lol
I REALLY like the front- and really DISlike the back and dash
2007 Audi Q lol platform LOLOL
8 inch screen for a 70k SUV? Yikes
It just screams UBER interior
i’m DROOLING
Please never wear the noisy jacket again
It looks like an Audi
Why would someone spend >$60K and still buy this trash and not a German or Jap car ?
Give it a year or 2, it will be available for $25K 😂
A 2.7 litre V6?! whiteguyblinking.gif
same engine out of the ford fusion sport
