Even before The Rise Of Skywalker, I never really liked the idea of Palpatine being romantically and physically involved with someone. From a mythological/archetypal perspective, Palpatine is very much a satanic force, one of pure, inhuman evil. His desires and goals, I feel should be more related to metaphysical power. He can use human desires and temptations to corrupt and destroy others, but he should be too far above them.
It’s an old comment but his “son” in rise of skywalker is technically just a clone of himself but made the same way as boba fett so he would age normally if I recall correctly. So palpatine is TECHNICALLY Rey’s father.

I'll admit I'm not very familiar with the EU, but I think it's also that Luke or Vader's power surpassed any son he could sire. The Rule of Two is a means of using apprentices as a source for the dark side. The apprentice craves and attracts the dark side, while the master embodies it as a vessel. It's likely that his true power actually came from Vader and that otherwise he really wasn't as inherently attuned or gifted in the force as them. A potential son likely wouldn't have as much of a draw as the Skywalkers.

The SW universe is at a huge disadvantage against the replicators. Replicators are known to be immune to most energy weapons, and can actually improve the technology of ships they take over to the point they can do intergalactic distances in a matter of hours (FAR faster than anything in SW and further without the limitations of navigation either). Force users could slow them for a while, but not stop them. They also can easily infect ships and planets even when their origin ship is quickly destroyed, making containment near impossible. The only thing that was ever truly effective against them was a specialized tech that SW doesn't have and even that they quickly became immune to the specific frequencies. I think a much more interesting fight is replicators vs flood. That fight is far more varied in that both sides have particular advantages over the other. Replicators being inorganic are immune to direct infection and can use anything for materials, but the flood can become vastly more intelligent.
I prefer the canon sheev where he is asexual in his singular lust for power and the dark side, since he is never shown having any sort of attraction platonic or otherwise and it fits his character better to be ‘above’ such physical desires.

what i remember about those books is that the emperors true son was locked away in a camp/asylum and used for slave labor as he disapointed the emporor and needed to be kept a secret, also that the imposter used a special glove to mimic the emperors force lightning and that it damaged his hands deforming them by the end. also that the right hand of vader was indestructable and that they found it on a water planet.

Hey Eck, my main proposition for a future video is more of an idea for a new series; but before we talk about that i wanted to ask you a lore/science based question. I know there are ion cannons in the star wars universe but my limited knowledge an I have never heard of or know if its even possible to ionize a turbo laser shot. I on occasion like to design capital ships and some of my designs have a axial super heavy turbo laser. I was wondering if its grounded in the star wars universe to ionize the axial turbo laser shot either before or after it leaves the barrel. I'm having a lot of fun making these ship and your videos help me find weaknesses and balance in my ships. I really don't want to design anymore around a axial ionized turbo laser if it isn't even possible. Please let me know in the comments if you have heard of anything like that or if you believe it would be possible in the star wars universe. My idea for a new video would revolve around large battles conveyed beautifully with your majestic voice and amazing story telling abilities. The series would consist of an iconic "supercapital" ship like the eclipse or the executor with a small escort fleet battling it out to the death with a second fleet with a make up strong enough to give it a run for its money. The fleet make up and size would be completely up to you; whatever you feel stands a chance against the super's. I think this could work with your current series, star ship verses, or as somewhat of a stand alone. Super Capital ships are one of my favorite aspects of the star wars universe and a combination of your knowledge, enthusiasm, voice, and story telling capabilities would make for an amazing few videos. That said, everything I've watched that you've made so far I've loved; keep up the amazing work! P.S. I loved both episodes of the "after Endor" series and would love to see them return. I have to admit, one continuity thing I hated about the Jedi Prince series was the later information that Triclops was younger than Triolculus, Triclops was apparently barely years OLD when he had Ken, and Trioculus looks nothing like you would expect for someone in Vader's age group. Yet the writer insisted that this was the order of his source material, so other problems aside, you can see why Jedi Prince never went the distance.

what i remember about those books is that the emperors true son was locked away in a camp/asylum and used for slave labor as he disapointed the emporor and needed to be kept a secret, also that the imposter used a special glove to mimic the emperors force lightning and that it damaged his hands deforming them by the end. also that the right hand of vader was indestructable and that they found it on a water planet.

I'm fascinated how many elements of the Disney sequels have elements of that have (probably unintentional) parallels in Legends. This could be used to repair the sequels and reintroduce some of the Legends into the new canon.

Hey Eck, my main proposition for a future video is more of an idea for a new series; but before we talk about that i wanted to ask you a lore/science based question. I know there are ion cannons in the star wars universe but my limited knowledge an I have never heard of or know if its even possible to ionize a turbo laser shot. I on occasion like to design capital ships and some of my designs have a axial super heavy turbo laser. I was wondering if its grounded in the star wars universe to ionize the axial turbo laser shot either before or after it leaves the barrel. I'm having a lot of fun making these ship and your videos help me find weaknesses and balance in my ships. I really don't want to design anymore around a axial ionized turbo laser if it isn't even possible. Please let me know in the comments if you have heard of anything like that or if you believe it would be possible in the star wars universe.
My idea for a new video would revolve around large battles conveyed beautifully with your majestic voice and amazing story telling abilities. The series would consist of an iconic "supercapital" ship like the eclipse or the executor with a small escort fleet battling it out to the death with a second fleet with a make up strong enough to give it a run for its money. The fleet make up and size would be completely up to you; whatever you feel stands a chance against the super's. I think this could work with your current series, star ship verses, or as somewhat of a stand alone. Super Capital ships are one of my favorite aspects of the star wars universe and a combination of your knowledge, enthusiasm, voice, and story telling capabilities would make for an amazing few videos. That said, everything I've watched that you've made so far I've loved; keep up the amazing work!
P.S. I loved both episodes of the "after Endor" series and would love to see them return. You are an amazing story teller!
I have to admit, one continuity thing I hated about the Jedi Prince series was the later information that Triclops was younger than Triolculus, Triclops was apparently barely years OLD when he had Ken, and Trioculus looks nothing like you would expect for someone in Vader's age group. Yet the writer insisted that this was the order of his source material, so other problems aside, you can see why Jedi Prince never went the distance.
The words "killed by lazerz shot from the eyes of a robotic (still cocaine addicted) Princess Leia" made me spit my ice cream out laughing
