This fight perfectly encapsulates part 5: Non stop speeches about resolve, Convoluted strategies to defeat an overpowered enemy, Mista getting shot, Giorno showing up last second, Jesus imagery, Il vento d’oro.
The convoluted strategies... oh yes, the strategies... one that sticks out in particular is the fight against the mold guy on the helicopter. Part of Giorno's strategy was perfectly kicking a fragment of a bullet into a helicopter blade, while he himself is falling and being rotted by mold, so that the fragment is perfectly deflected off the spinning blades into the enemy's head. Mista's amazing shots are one thing, at least he has an aimbot stand and years of shooting experience to justify his Hawkeye aiming, but I will never stop laughing at the sheer amount of calculation and forethought that Giorno had to do in the several milliseconds while falling and dying painfully to pull that crap off. On one hand, I like when shows have more strategic fights that aren't just about who has the bigger number and shoots bigger beams. On the other hand, sometimes it can be a little tiring to have every fight hinge on plans where everyone is apparently 10 steps ahead of each other like some kind of superhuman A.I.'s. Sometimes it feels like every single spec of dust floating in the air around the fighters is taken into account.
@@OckhamAsylum I think Giorno said that he had it all planned since the beginning to mess with Cioccolata, just like Joseph did with Kars after he defeated him. His comeback with the beetle was great tho.

Ikr David Productions actually feel like a company that cares for a series and adds minor things to make it better. They don't feel like a company in it for the money
Fun Fact: All members of La Squadra have stealthy stands or fights in a stealthy way, which makes sense they're ASSASSINS: . Risotto: turn invisible and kill from distance . Formaggio = become small . Proschiutto = turn everyone old and can even disguise himself as an old guy . Melone = kills with a computer from far away . Illuso = kills and hides in his mirror world . Pesci = fish someone from far away yet, Ghaccio is the only who does not have a stealth-based stand nor does he fight in stealthy way (dude jumps on a car and starts shouting about Venezia for crying out loud)....which begs the question *HOW IN THE WORLD DID HE GET HIS JOB!?*
i think he’s meant to be contradictory, his name is literally ice, and he has a job where he should be stealthy, yet he’s hotheaded and unstealthy, it’s likely intentional
Risotto probably thought it would be useful to have at least one person who could charge the enemy and fuck shit up. Imagine Ghiaccio teamed up with pretty much any other assassin, he'd draw all the attention to himself while the others attack from behind.
This scene, this scene has the most gorgeous and smooth animation I've seen in a long time. And that last part...the music, the colors, Giorno's tone while he gently holds Mista's almost lifeless body, the rising sun behind them...was so emotional. I loved this scene in the manga and it's been my favourite since I've read it. And I can say that this was a perfect adaptation and it has become my favourite scene in the anime too.
“I’ll commend you for... pushing me this far...” Ghiaccio acknowledges Mista as a worthy opponent. It’s nice for a character to earn a villain’s respect.
Just rewatched part 1 and it’s one of my favorite moments and memorable scenes where Wang Chen insults Jonathan and Dio tells him to shut up because he won’t tolerate anybody insulting the only man he respects. When Wang asks if they should watch Jonathan suffer and suffocate (he had 2 holes in his neck and couldn’t breath) Dio tells him to kill him quickly and painlessly because he doesn’t deserve to suffer. There’s so few villains in Jojo who show this kind of praise and respect for the protagonists and I love it. Off the top of my head we only see it from Dio Brando, Wammu, Ghiaccio, maybe Rikiel.
Ghiaccio's voice actor did a really good job at conveying the fear and horror of having a spike slowly stabbing into your neck while you cant see whats going on
I think those in the OP are supposed to be from the characters' most iconic fights, so we might get something similar (MINOR SPOILER) in the Cioccolata arc
I think we all agree that hearing Japanese voice actors wildly screaming phonetically butchered English musical references is one of the main appeals of JoJo's.

Yes, that was awesome! Mista definitely showed his resolve! And Giorno’s scene at the end was awesome too. The speech he gave as sun was rising, and the beatdown that followed, perfect.
So he got 16 bullet wounds and is pretty much fine. I really would start to dislike all the fights they are involved in if it weren't for the villains being MUCH more compelling
I always feel bad when a member of lasquada dies, except melone, they're such great characters and have such great stands but unfortunately That's not how mafia city works
@@commanderember0189 How so? Almost all of the crusaders were merciful until they started killing people that were close to them. You could say they were thought of as heros, while the Mafia is well the Mafia. Of course they are going to kill more.
I love the commitment to conveying the slow unbearable pain Mista is in taking all the bullets, by animating in 1's for like nearly a whole minute, making every expression of Mista really detailed and seemingly slowed down at the same time
One of the many reasons why I am so fond of this fight is Ghiaccio's tenacity, Giorno worded it "resolve". Even though he is clearly the antagonist moreover a choleric in this fight, he always turns the tables after being cornered, which makes him a huge threat, something I greatly miss in Shounen nowadays.
That's why Jojo will always be relevant in my eyes, Araki knows how to make absolutely beautiful antagonists and it gets better as he gets to later parts. Though I will say part 5 has some of the best fights in the series for sure
When I got to part 5 this became one of the top 3 fights in the entire series for me. His tenacity was insane and just did not give up. He was a terrifying opponent that you had to respect. I was not disappointed with how david productions handled this fight. There's so many favorite moments but for me following the bullet to each sex pistol before hitting the hole in his neck was so badass.
I just loved everything about Ghiaccio. His cunning use of his very simple ability, his utterly relentless tenacaty, his personality. Everything came together to carry this fight. Sadly, the win didn't Go to the one that more than deserved it, but to Mista and Giorno. Both had to heavily rely on luck to even get a method of hurting him. And then one had to almost commit suicide to push him back. Just beautiful
Ghiaccio is so strong, seriously, if he had any backup, he'd win. Both of these guys refused to roll over and die one while having their bodies obliterated , and the only reason they didn't both end up dead is that mista had backup. I love this fight.
@avrate the moment Ghiaccio gets in his suit its over. Diavolo cannot punch him through and if he gets close (Which he nedds to do), he gets frozen to death.
@@janmarcoperezbatres2203 you guys are misunderstood of one thing. Okay that Risotto could just do that with the invisibility and the knifes or Ghiaccio with the frozen to death if bossu touches him thing but y'all forgot (💀) that in Vento Aureo is the fate who is the most powerful weapon, the Epitaph plus King Crimson of Diavolo combined have all control over the fate, and i must say that all this could just not be relevant considering that Epitaph being able to see the future and the fate being on the side of King Crimson ALL THE TIME the only thing wich can kill Diavolo it's GER, the stand is, basically, is the ultimate rival of fate wich is what Diavolo relies on to win. In short, fate is the ultimate weapon in part 5, Epitaph and King Crimson combined own the fate, by that literally anything can defeat him because fate literally doesn't want it that much.
2:53 can we just appreciate how badass this theme and fight is?You can hear the desperate screams in there voice's. Not to forget Giorno's Daddy DIO kick's 4:37
Their paths were similar but their destinations are different, Bruno’s group wanted to stop the drugs from being sold to the youth and make Venice a better place to live, while Metallica’s group just wanted more power and control-especially over the death of the lovers in their group or whatever, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t treat other gang members better than how diavlo treated them, but in the end they’ll still sell drugs to kids because they only care about themselves and the gang.
@@hitcat1157 First of all Bucciarati's group is from Naples not Venice, second their goal is as for now unknown, probably just working hard for the organization I guess. All that until presumably episode 21. So in this finale, Mista shoots a total of 16 bullets at Ghiaccio to pin him to the pole. Four Multiples of Four. That's gotta be on purpose.

And then...
DEUS EX MACHINA
I am proud of my ice boy

@@Bruh-jz1uu Part 9 protagonist
Ghiaccio is so strong, seriously, if he had any backup, he'd win. Both of these guys refused to roll over and die one while having their bodies obliterated , and the only reason they didn't both end up dead is that mista had backup. I love this fight.

Especially risotto he can just become invisible and spawn a knife in diavollo's brain

Its ironic to think that la squadra and buccelatis team couldve worked together
Their paths were similar but their destinations are different, Bruno’s group wanted to stop the drugs from being sold to the youth and make Venice a better place to live, while Metallica’s group just wanted more power and control-especially over the death of the lovers in their group or whatever, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t treat other gang members better than how diavlo treated them, but in the end they’ll still sell drugs to kids because they only care about themselves and the gang.
