Episode 31: Giorno thus goes to rescue the Pistols with no.5 but also gets ambushed because Cioccolata has managed to cut himself into piece and survive thanks to his medical knowledge. Green Day pummels Giorno out of the helicopter but Giorno ultimately makes no.5's bullet ricochet against the blades of the helicopter and shoot into Cioccolata's head, taking him out.
Seeing Cioccolata's spine wiggle is the most unsettling thing since Doppio trying to remove the scissors stuck in his throat.
At this point it's unthinkable that there was a time when DP censored regular flesh wounds.

How is he a minor villain? He was given a back story so we as an audience would know how fucked he is. Didn’t have that for others. What’s considered a main villain? Was it only Risotto and Diavolo?

A main villain is the big bad of the story, the main antagonist, the main evil character that the heroes are trying to defeat from the beginning.
For jojo, the main villains are DIO, Kars, Yoshikage Kira and The Boss (Diavolo).
Ok so... let me get this straight...
1- Mista gave number 5 a bullet
2- number 5 shot that bullet at giorno
3- giorno turned it into wood roots as a bridge to reach the helicopter
4- cioccolata dropped down the helicopter to spread the mold on the wood roots
5- the wood roots break off and is no longer living and thus return to a bullet
6- giorno kicks the wood root that turns back to a bullet into the helicopter propeller
7- his kick turned it into a beetle
8- it ricochets and hits cioccolata’s head and the beetle comes out
Oh wow... that’s a lot
and i assume that in real time, that didn't even take a full minute
Almost bizarre isn't it...
That's what I like about Jojo, you never know what crazy and clever strategies Araki will come up with. And that's also why this is one of my favorite fights in the entire series.
But now that I think about it, didn't Giorno's lifeforms reflect any damage inflicted on them? If so, why didn't destroying the branch literally obliterate Ciocolatta as well?

The whole reason why Cioccolata lost is both delicious and poetic. All his life he brought himself joy and feeling of superiority seeing the face of despair and suffering from others at the end of their life, all caused by his sick desires. Now in his fight with Giorno he gets punished for relishing in his sick desires by sticking out his head to watch Giorno face as he is falling to his supposed doom. He wanted to see it badly, the despair, the panic, the complete loss of hope. He could have stayed under the roof of the helicopter, safe from any retaliation but he needed to see the last horrible seconds of Giornos life and it sealed his fate when he leaned outside the helicopter to watch only for Giorno to line up the perfect shot.

His payback for Sorbet & Gelato would make the 7 page muda look like gentle lovemaking
Risotto would flay him alive before he even knew what happened.
Risotto is invisible and his levitation makes Green Day worthless against him. Hell, he could turn Secco's eyes into razor blades and stick a switchblade in his heart before he could get close enough to punch.

@@leiderhosen7110 Oh, he absolutely would, Risotto has one of the best stands in all parts and is one of the best and most tactical users and fighters (I happen to be a huge fanboy of the big goth). I was just suggesting that it´s ironically fitting that both him and Cioccolata have deadly stands than allow them to fight in a gruesome way and actually benefit from being dismembered.
@@Emil-Roma lol yeah, I just think as far as 1v1s go Metallica is far superior. Green Day is good for mass killings but definitely lacks in direct confrontation, as Gold Experience seemed to have no trouble with him until Ciocolatta played dirty.

Remember that one time when Bruno said that Gold Experience and Sticky Finger can only activate their effect by using their fists?
He didn't activate GE, he just kicked the wood up. When the wood died, it reverted back to being a bullet, without GE's interference
Probably just means physical attacks, so kicks work just as well.
@Flávio de Souza his kick didnt do any thing to the tree besides making it go up, cause the tree already has the golden experience energy from when the bullet went through his arm
he didn’t revert the stick back to the bullet, the stick died and automatically reverted. He just kicked it so it would fly in the right direction
So Ciocolata is named after the Italian word for chocolate. Chocolate often comes in bars that can be segmented into smaller pieces to last longer.

Araki changed Gold Experience's ability, do you remember the reflect ability? When Koichi or Luca touched Giorno's creations? Cioccolata attacked the tree and nothing happened.
Araki, like he always does, changes the ability of almost all the protagonists and main villains
He just doesnt use it anymore like the hot my creation you get hit ability if he still used it he couldve been the most even more busted cause if he really wanted to i guess he could get his arms cut off make new ones and when ever someone hit his arms they are hit
He use that ability every time he punch someone. There is no need to explain it everytime.
The slow down effect is from the enemy's perspective. There's no need to see it every time.

Aside from the fact that people in jojo consistently survive things they should not survive, a bullet to the head is not an instant death sentence 100% of the time even in real life,there is people that has survived one of those and continue living their life afterwards granted proper medical procedure follows immediately after or they are just double lucky as you need luck to survive that but more luck to not die shortly after
Mr. Lafitte to be accurate e bullet in the brain doesn't always mean dead. To die just for damage , some vital point must be hitten, like primate brain or stem, the part who regulate breath to be clearer. Other part, tons of people in history lived without it. Remember where polnareff hit vanilla ice with his rapier? Approx the area should be there, give or taken. Another part is primitive brain, where some main process like memory and emotion are generated (most severe degenerative patology concern this are). Frontal damages sure are severe, but one can survive and in some cases even recover more than 50% of the function that where lost. Of course , problem comes with blood loss. It is internal, there oxygen loss plus neurons dying. If it's external, the pressure against the cranium can make it really severe. So as a matter of JoJo speaking.... Yeah it's very very uncommon. Not impossible , but very uncommon. But consider all this people are high on adrenaline, and being a bleeding wound , it might contain the damage in the short time. Yet, this kind of damages should imply a great shock, a loss of some cognitive function and fainting (brain cannot last that much without oxygen). Yet have to confirm that some severe cases of highly damages people to brain and head with even heavier object than one bullet (most incredible one I recall being a railroad iron bar at high speed ) who immediately after receive that wound just got up. One I read was even kissed off like "why are you look at?". So it's possible. My guess I'm sale case is he's died/ greatly damaged by high pressure in brain due to accumulating blood thanks to the bullet. A main artery being revised can't be ruled out either. I'd not be surprised if he could talk anymore
