Those were regular Dwarves not chaos Dwarves. For the Dwarves this dlc focuses on Slayers, Dwarves that have shamed themselves in someway and have taken the slayer oath which is to commit themselves to dying a glorious death in battle in order to regain their honour (you can identify them by their giant ginger mohawks).

Malakai Makaisson is my second favourite dwarf from the novels. He was cast out of engineer guild for his 'outrageously innovative ideas', so he took a slayer oath, vowing to prove the worth of his inventions, or die trying. And that flying ship is his ship, called Spirit of Grungni. And it is MUCH smaller, than the one in the novels. The one in the novels was big enough to house (comfortably) a crew of 100 dwarves. But one must make gameplay sacrifices to make it playable. He also built a submarine, called 'Unsinkable' (which sunk), a big-ass tank/train, called 'Indestructible' (which was destroyed), then he tried to name his airship 'Unbreakable', but a Dwarf King (I can't quite recall which one), who sponsored the whole venture, convinced him to name it 'Spirit of Grungni'. In the novels he is portrayed to be somewhat Scottish, in polish version you can't quite show that, so they made him have a speech-impediment. He is also the only Slayer to wield a gun, because all other slayers only use melee weapons.
Hmm, is it that no slayers choose guns because getting up close and killing is more “fun”? 🤔

Absolutely thought your dog was a small goat for a good 15 seconds.
Part of the reason it's been a bit since a trailer is because they're kinda righting their ship with content.
A few months ago, one of the Created Assembly execs admitted on the sly they were nickel and diming players on the "Shadows of Change" DLC having a very underwhelming amount of content with an arrogant "they'll whine but pay for anything anyway" mindset - this got loose and CA had some REAL big backlash come their way that proved them wrong. So they've decided to make sure that every patch/DLC drop from now on is worth their money (like for this one we're getting three legendary lords with quite a few new units), at the (totally reasonable, imo) cost of content drops taking a bit longer for dev time.

The DLC is coppying the events of a book of chaos. Where the nurgle lord invades the human city of Nuln. The wizard and the dwarf that come to theire aid work together but almost fail>
THe nurgle lord (ogre) you see is not the lord Its a maggot that burries and controls bodies through puppetry. (its nurgle, Normal dwarf, and human/ empire)

Learning Tamurkhan was called the Maggot Lord not just because he uses maggots like every Nurgle unit but instead because he is an actual giant worm(like size of an adult man) and he's just controlling an Ogre's body from inside here in the game was so disgusting lol

I really thing you would like the video "Grudgebearer" by Engagingbear. Still the best fanmade Warhammer Total War cinematic I've seen.
You should watch the gameplay focus of the new lords as they have new faction mechanics for Empire, Dwarf and Nurgle. regarding the ending i will probably start with Empire as they had a rework that i was waiting for the most.
Lots of recommendations for the gameplay for these lords that we don’t normally get. They must have done a great job on those this time around 😅
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames For me it was the rework of 3 factions but they also did a few things differently when it came to the dlc it self as in they made it 3 separate DLC for each of the factions so you didn't need to but the whole thing for one or two of the factions you do like/play, but i bought the bundle of all three because i like TWWH 3.

Elspeth von Draken is the greatest of the Amethyst Order, the ones who specialize in the Wind of Death and, while tolerated, are known to skirt dangerously close to the forbidden art of necromancy. Her death magic is even more powerful when combined with the gunpowder weaponry her home city of Nuln is famous for.

That Nurgle legendary lord is not what you think. His name is Tamurkhan, the maggot lord, and he really lives up to his name. HE IS LITERALLY a giant maggot daemon that uses the mortal body as his host (He love using ogre body) as he rides his giant toad dragon and leads the Warhost full of corrupted plague ogres, rot knight, and bile troll. Joining him is the legendary hero of Nurgle faction, Kazyk the befouled. With additional lord joining Nurgle faction, the tally man of plagues , Epidimius. You guys like the dark lady of Nuln are just like all of us. She's Elspeth Von Draken, known as the graveyard rose, master of dark magic and gunpowder infused with...Dark magic! Riding on her Carmine dragon with Theodore Bruckner charging the knights into battle as well as Master Engineer sniping down the Nurgles Daemon. While Landship slowly sailed in for support fire.. The Dwarf got the slayer lord, Malakai, the engineering Slayer. He's one of the most unique and awesome characters in the series. His army fulls of Doomseekers, Slayer pirates, and Thunderbarge will make sure no daemon come back to this real easily. His Daemin Slayer and spirit if Grungi will drive out these foul corrupted Umgak away with the help of the son of Slayer king.
I think a cool idea for them to react to would be all of the brawl star cinematics

The characters in the trailer are historical figures who are not alive in the "current" world of Warhammer. But they are popular enough to be placed in the world of the campaign map regardless of whether they have previously died, they are not the first and will not be the last, historical characters placed in the present in Total Warhammer.
Tamukrhan is not visible in the trailer because he is actually a giant, intelligent worm that animates the corpse of an ogre. The ogre corpse is what is visible in the trailer. Tamurkhan has built his career on biting his way through the bodies of unsuspecting enemies who managed to destroy his previous flesh puppet until they became his new flesh puppet. That is why the ogre seen in the trailer has that putrid appearance and those huge wounds in the mouth and chest (that is where Tamurkhan entered the body) it is a corpse moved by Tamurkhan.
Tamurkhan is accompanied in the trailer by Krayz, a champion of Nurgle so consumed by diseases that he cannot even speak, and Epidemius, a demon in charge of cataloging and supervising all diseases, is an infernal bureaucrat with an endless task, and he is aware that he will can never complete his task, so he is constantly angry and bitter. Epidemius rides on a throne moved by smaller demons because apparently he can't waste time walking.
Brucker, the man in a wingless griffin is the champion of Nuln, his task is to defend the countess, be her personal champion and eliminate powerful enemies. Coincidentally, Elspeth von Draken, supreme matriarch of the college of death magic, gave him an amulet that would make him explode if he died, incredibly convenient when it comes to Tamurkhan.
Elspeth von Drakne, the woman in dragon (and the Malefica of the Warhammer world) is not the countess of Nuln, the countess is a non-combatant so she does not appear in the game because is a war game, but she is a matriarch (supreme leader) of one of the eight colleges of imperial magic and a figure extremely influential in the county of Wisseland, of which Nuln is the capital.
The dwarf with the mohawk and rifle is Malakai Makaisson who took the oath of slayer (seeking death in battle) after being disgraced by being expelled from the engineers' guild when his attempt to create a submarine exploded and killed the entire crew except him. After creating a flying ship, it exploded and killed the entire crew except him. Malakai continues to innovate (almost a sin in dwarven society that is conservative to self-destructive extremes) willing to continue innovating until one of his inventions kills him and fulfills his oath (it's a way of seeking doom, I guess). For now, his new flying boats, seen in the trailer, appear not to explode and to be reliable. The ax throwers are also his invention.
The thunderbarge is considered the most OP and broken unit ever seen in any game in the trilogy and will almost certainly be nerfed consecutively in the next balance patches.
Malakai (those are regular dwarfs, not chaos dwafsm and there a new unit in the DLc which are pirate slayers) is accompanied by Gotrek and Felix, two extremely popular and famous characters and protagonists of the most popular Warhammer fantasy novel series. Gotrek is a slayer too (he also seeks death in battle) but he is so incredibly tough and the ax he carries so powerful (the ax of a dwarf god that makes him stronger and more powerful than any dwarf would normally be), that he doesn't.He always survive no matter the enemy, to his eternal disappointment. Felix is a poet and aspiring political reformer who swore that he would accompany Gotrek to record his heroic death in an epic poem, without realizing (because he was completely drunk when he took the oath) that his chances of survival against anything capable of killing Gotrek are 0.
Since then he has accompanied Gotrek and survived the worst monsters and places that the horrible and very dangerous world of Warhammer has to offer. The oath he has taken are not mere words, possibly due to the influence of the ax and that dwarves value promises above all things, Felix has accompanied Gotrek for more than 40 years and has not aged a day since taking the oath.Making the best of his situation he has turned the epic poem into a collection of books that leaves his brother when pass through the empire, if he dies on the way, at least a part of his work will survive and be published, fulfilling the oath as best as possible under the circumstances.
Without Felix knowing, the brother had published the novels as fictional stories, so the novels and the characters are also famous in the Warhammer world itself, and it took decades for them to find out.
