I am wearing red, but then I’ve been wearing it every year, every season, for many decades!😊
As a woman over 60 myself…I am most happy to subscribe and support you. I will be watching on the reg. So happy to have come across you. (I also do so love your puff sleeve top.)
Thank you and welcome to the community
Leopard print is a neutral and never goes out of style.
I absolutely love scarves and capes. I think they can really add to an outfit. Great looks and ideas.
Throwing out clothing that is currently trending is the epitome of wasteful. Wear your "dated" leopard shirt with barrel or wide leg jeans. Make it current with styling. We don't need to endlessly buy new things.
I agree. Style is so revolving that we don’t need to be constantly buying new things. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
So true wear up what you have and adapt it soon right yess
Totally agree with you.
Dana, you have just come up with a great idea for a new channel! Restyling so-called “outdated” clothing! I don’t think I’ve seen anything like that currently on UA-cam. I would be the first to subscribe.
I sort of do that in my monthly capsule videos. Raiding my wardrobe for old items to wear now and a bit of how
OK, I subscribed!! I am 78 yo, and live in Kansas City, Missouri --- home of the KC Chiefs, and player Travis Kellce, Taylor Swifts boyfriend. Girl --- we all wear red!! It is the team color. However, here in the midwest USA, you see a lot of red garments. I sew a lot of my garments, and I have made two red dresses, one linen for summer, and a knit long sleeve for winter. I also made a red blazer with a black collar. All of these were a hit. Here burgundy is coming on very strong. You missed the Talbots selection. They have the cutest burgundy offerings this year.
I really enjoyed your informative, fun video. I may be 78, but don't dress old. Keep up the fun videos.
I have a denim maxi skirt with raw edge too. Got it onsale at Lucky Brand. Love it and wear it all the time. It goes with everything.
Your boot cut jeans look so good on you. Perfect silhouette.
The pleated skirt looks good on NOBODY
Exactly
nor do midi skirts!
Karen brit chick but she is tall, gorgeous, statesque and can actually get in to high fashion sizes ( used to model a bit as well ) If she wasn't so obnoxiously nice it would be rather awkward.
You know what! Wear what you want! If it makes you happy, feel comfortable and it’s an old favourite, wear it!
I’m loving my denim jackets, wide leg and straight leg jeans, not the skinnies and I’m not much taller than yourself. Denim skirts though just feel heavy and restrictive for me personally. I also love the ruching in tops and dresses that’s out just now, I find it flattering for my figure and elevates something plain.
After having worn all variations of denim skirts in late 80s/90s I could never feel anything but dowdy in them. I think the young women can pull it off since they have never done that trend though. You look fantastic in every new jeans shape you modeled here!
Thank you!
Chambray has the same vibe but it's much 0:54 lighter, more flowy. Color blocking just makes me look wider and shorter.
Just got a denim maxi skirt with the raw edge trim! Love it.
Burgundy also seems to suit all skin colors.
Animal print with denim is a winner!
Love leapard print will be wearing my lovely cape and Diane Von Furstenberg mock fur jacket lots😊
See above. Saw a younger woman on UA-cam saying Leopard print will be all the rage Fall '24. Everything from dresses, skirts, pants, blouses and even shoes!!!
I made a velvet leopard tuxedo blazer dress over the knee this past year I love it. Looking for some leopard jeans
Baby blue looks great on you.
Thank you!
Okay, I'm 64 and just subscribed. Thanks!
I have a pink leopard V-neck sweater that looks good on me. I plan to keep it. I don’t know if I will wear it this year but I am sure it will be in style again someday.
I need a nice leopard belt. Can you recommend one?
No to pleats and shoulder pads! Never liked them.
Love a lot of boho especially some Free People items.
Well presented content. My Debbie remembers with fondness and recreates the look for more formal events and this has always drawn compliments. She says your comment re: emerging as power in the workplace and merging femininity with business attire was an art in itself and was a real thing. Some people never got beyond the wash and wear pant suit and it is disheartening to see so many even in professional settings wearing such say nothing, ugly pieces. My Debbie is 68 and follows tips from such channels as yours with great personal benefit
Sooo warm rich in colour is leapard print great for winters
Red!!!!! Not in the UK. In Italy found it much more popular.
I agree with you that I have heard for a couple of years that red is the big color. But I've not seen much of anything in red. Yes, I've gotten shoes and bags in red but as far as a beautiful red piece of clothing, I've just not found it.
I’m glad I’m not the only one.
It's so easy to subscribe and it's helpful to the person you're adding plus yourself!
I have a favorite old leopard print jacket and a pair of shoes that I fear I have away a couple of years ago and I'm hoping that's not the case because I'm not buying any more. ❤😊
Thank you so much for all your tips...i look forward to each video for tips that i can incorporate into my Australian wardrobe 😊😊😊
Burgundy is my favorite color in the winter. I have burgundy ballet flats in suede, a burgundy bag ,burgundy sweater, etc.❤ I also love red ..😊
Absolutely love a maxi denim skirt , not a fan of leopard print so I’ll pass on this one. Just bought a brown faux leather cropped jacket and I LOVE it, also bought some green carrot/ tapered trousers and they go with it perfectly, so glad I’m sort of on trend
Carrot shape is my absolute favorite for jeans and pants in general. I may be the only woman on planet Earth who does not like leopard print. Denim is always "in" even when it is "out". I have denim jackets that are 15-20 years old, the same styles as new ones. Styles are recycled every three or so years, there is always something worth shopping for in my closet. Buying classic pieces instead of trendy looks, especially the more wacky trends, reduces the waste of money and waste going into the environment.
What are carrot jeans? I’ve never heard that term used for jeans.
They say burgundy will be in, along with brown, and indigo. I'm set. I have all of them. I ♥️ animal print. I get compliments all of the time when I wear it.
I love denim skirts only just started wearing them and love them I'm 63 A line
Lovvve long denim skirts and mid leg and knee length fab
Leapard print scarfs wool cardi but not blouse on me but yes great idea with modern trousers
Also i havefab leapard fun fur love them with black jeans and black boots my jackets are not Bet Lynch they are fab and very expensive ❤
Sound tasteful 🙂
Just found you and I subscribed😘
I really dislike those big cuffed jeans and I’m not short! I have not seen one person that they look good on.
I agree..
Sounds like even if we have something that has 'come back in style' we have to ditch it so as not to look dated, and buy essentially the same thing with 'updates'. Nope. I've got a vintage burgundy leather coat and vintage suede jacket that are way better quality than anything made now. I also believe in sustainability.....
Who cares about trends. I don’t I wear classic pieces that can be styled lots of different ways and replace them as needed.
The beige jacket and skirt - color was a bit unflattering maybe?
Long denim skirt is too “little house on the prairie”
Which is perfect for the western trend. I’ve nailed it 😀
Frumpy
I would never wear that look at 71. Done that
After pulling through breast cancer at an early age I feel privileged to be here and prod of my age.. I always look OK, I am not a fashion model and have no ambitions to be one..
The club we don’t want to be in , eh. Mine was colon and not so long ago.
@@Myover50fashionlifeSo glad you both survived.
Excellent video, thank you. But can we please call autumn… autumn, not fall!
Thank you..I'm inclusive of my 2 largest audiences 😀. The largest is the USA and sadly the algorithm which determines what my video is about is American too. So I say both words in my videos. Anyway Fall is an export from Sussex , my county. 😅
Nice
Whaaaat? 70% unsubscribed??? Why…??? I love your videos! 👍🏼
It happens when the videos go wider which is good but it needs the new audience to subscribe 😀
As one petite to another I think that we have to be more selective in what we pick as some outfits require heighth.
Yes I’ve done several videos on the topic . In this job I have to share items and outfits for all shapes and sizes regardless of whether that suits me.
So I’m 81 and don’t want to look 91, I don’t think it really matters anymore. Staying healthy is my main concern.
Good for you, good health is the most important thing in life.
The burgundy red others stories skirt is very nice but I wouldn't pay that price, same with the burgundy Cos tshirt which I don't like, would look better with a V neck amazon have a nice one.
I love your videos
Don't agree with you regarding animal print i have boxy jackrts in brown and black and grey i love them i also have boots and casual flats i am a glamorous 79 year old x❤some of these are many years old i will not be chucking them also some very cropped cardigans 😂
It sounds like they have a modern look. I'm wearing my old leopard print too as the styles aren't dated. But I have to admit I did donate a lot of leopard print a few years ago that would have been dated now. Your boxy jackets are perfect. Fit the cropped trend too. Wear with confidence that they work.
I agree no to slouchy...anything!
think it's all about body type. This summer all I heard on youtube what to ditch capri's and the cold shoulder. Although I do believe the cold shoulder is rarely done right, and they are putting it in everything, a woman with nice thin broad shoulders looks great in it. Someone with slouchy smaller shoulders will not. Capri's are classic. They will always be in style but again, not everyone should wear them.
Just got back from Italy. The older women there looked so nice. THey weren't trying to wear what the younger ladies were wearing. A nice dress, gold necklace and earings...just put together. This is what they wore to go to market. Here I'm seeing seventy year olds wearing athletic wear...
Love Red, love denim anything. Hate animal prints of any kind, find them very tacky. Chasing fashion trends seems a rather fruitless pursuit. Find what you look good in, are comfortable in and establish your own style, regardless of your age.
I’ve liked that long denim skirt for a while, and really tempted . Would you say it’s true to size? I’m normally a size 8. I’m about your height.
Yes. I’m uk 8 and sure it’s small that i ordered. I’ll check in the morning for you. I love it as it’s such a good alternative to jeans and more feminine .
its a small that I have.
Enough leopard already!!!!
I think you’ll be seeing a lot more of it. The trend has only just started.
There is never enough leopard!
I've subscribed! I'm not 60 until next year, though 😂 Love your take on the trends ❤
60 is the new forty. Don't fear it 😀
Don'time denim jackets the rest of denim fab you look great in flared jeans etc fab
When you say 'carrot' jeans... is that what the Americans are calling 'barrel leg' jeans????
simiilar. Barrell are a bit looser, wider.
Good video😊😊😊😊
Thanks for the visit
I absolutely love you Hope B.C. Canada
Thank you so much
Everyone loves you haaaa and Iove check
IMO..... The extra wide cuff just looks silly. I hate the raw edges in denim. It looks like your too lazy to hem your pants. Once we are of a "certain age", we should have figured out how to hem our clothing. So wearing this trend to me says you are definitely trying to hard. Worse, next season when this ridiculous fad is gone, you have no fabric in which to hem the pants. An expensive mistake. Casually elegant and wearing clothing that fits your body always wins. Again, this is MHO...
Same with ballet flats- not seeing those
Disagree here on the leopard print - would like to rather say classic leopard print fine however fantasy colours leopard print might be time to put away for a while also unless you have small boobs avoid round necklines and get a really good new bra adjusted to the changing body shape.
Love the maxi denim skirt. But, not with a denim shirt. Not much for animal prints, animal prints/fur look better on the animal. I’m 50, love boho/classic combinations.
To me denim and leopard screams old lady.
I wear tons of red.
I heard faux fur jackets are out of style!🤷♀️
The opposite appears to be the case and reported. What’s in the shops and what we wear is the real trends though .
What caused so many people to unsubscribe?
They didn't unsubscribe. It's 70 % watch who aren't subscribed 😀.
Oh the wide leg . . .NO!
No leopard print for me. 🤢
More for me! 😁
Not keen on cuffed jeans….. looks like you can’t be bothered to tailor or take up too long jeans! Denim is great but not top and bottom on the over 60’s Just my opinion
I have never liked leopard print - those colours look horrible on me. Please don't 'throw out' still wearable clothing. Donate or repurpose or something.
Yes by throw out it’s a given I mean donate or recycle. . It can’t be anything else these days. That would nit be responsible to literally throw out.
Who says red is coming…..? Clearly we should stop listening to them they know nothing !
Even current ladies jackets are a hard NO!
Dear honey, the clothes are heavy and wearing you….down
Please call it “autumn” ….America hasn’t taken over!😂
Hi Brenda, it is actually an old English word from Sussex where I live. we exported it and took the French Latin derived alternative 😅. on a serious note the algorithm is American and listens to what the video is about and reads the titles. sadly autumn doesn't rank like fall does.
Autumn is the preferred term in British English and comes from the Latin word Autumnus meaning ‘the passing of the year’……….just saying 🤷♀️
What is your problem? Autumn is widely used in the US.
@@bethany5688 And, yes, Fall is of Old Saxon derivation. We use both words.
@@carolynredinger439 I don’t have a problem. I’m U.K., and call it Autumn. Glad to hear America does use that term too.
I hate maxi dresses….especially on older women….just my opinion…
I love a nice flowy maxi dress or skirt on holiday abroad.
Denim is aging!
WOW, another video in mid week, cool, of you, i gave you 2 thumbs up, ,.........marius(punk rules).
Thanks again!
