- Does Tesla Robotaxi even make sense? 🚕
Tesla's Robotaxi is being hailed as the future of autonomous transportation, but is it really a smart move? With ambitious promises of fully driverless cars by 2027, there are significant concerns around timelines, safety, and infrastructure. Tesla has faced delays with previous projects, and the Robotaxi could be another risky gamble.

We don't even have self driving trains yet and they drive literally on rails in a closed system.
Imagine if you'd put down 50k in 2017 for a Roadster and 7 years later you're no closer to owning that vehicle . People would never accept this from Mercedes, BMW, Audi etc. mainly because they would NEVER do that. Musk is a financial grifter.
I beg to differ on your belief of unsolved traffic.
Initially autonomous vehicles will have to break a lot and have to stop at stop lights for human operated drivers, being no different than any other modern car.
But a future with autonomous driven cars will see no stop lights and very little necessary hard breaking which will result in continuously moving traffic without the current stop start of modern day traffic.Essentially your autonomously driven car may slow down but essentially won't stop for one second during a journey resulting in faster journey times and less traffic congestion. Go and watch Minority Report if you want an example.
I wish there were more channels on youtube that calls out Enron Musk's BS.
Why you saying taxess instead of taxis?
Maybe he's an AI generated voice.
Excellent points! Cars will be regarded by future humans as a strange and dangerous mode of transport that forever altered the biosphere for the worse.
Garbage can with wheels.
wow you guys have to get your head out of the dirt. go try fsd and if it can even just drive your car 99% of the time. company that to legacy auto they are how many years behind 5? 10? and robotaxi will come out and open up another market for tesla you will see.
Waymo lets you see the lidar on a screen in the back, its very cool.
So how is this different than when airplanes were invented and there were no legal basis for them or there were HUGE questioning regarding safety ?
So how is that Waymo/Cruise have plenty of daily drivers, but the Tesla Cab makes no sense ?
You take the showcased robotaxi as granted to represent the end-production model. Yes, the screen should show what car sees, BUT that's a software issue .. that can be added/pushed anytime .. to show what is shown on current Teslas. Best scenario, it lets the passenger choose between seeing the feedback or a netflix video. Again ... the softare/display was not the point of the presentation, stop making a big fuss about it. I said it before, NONE of the Tesla cars so far.. ended like the prototype/showcased versions. And it;s normal to be that way. You literally refuse to see the forest because of the trees.
It's called a paradigm shift. Not the first the humanity was ever confronted with, and definitely not the last. The AI/diver feeling in control is BALLS. You can AT LEAST compare it with a passenger being driven around by a diver or by AI. And let me tell you, I had plenty of such experiences where my driver was clearly not paying attention to the road or was doing risky maneuvers. In city locations driving, where speeds are
Mercedes is certified at level 3
There’s only two types of people one that makes it happen and the other wonder’s what happened?
I believe there's more than just two, like the group that can see this is gonna crash and say "hey this will cash", or the group that say, "no, thank you" and of course a group that say "yes, yes, he changed the world"
Will never happen.
