Yo, whats up Adam! Same here man, thanks for leading the pack & showing us some super cool new trails we can now add to our trail inventory! Haven't got much footage of you since you were gone in the front & we were at the back but it definitely was a fun day with you all. Oh & thanks again for the gas when I was running low 🤙🏽 Hopefully we can ride again sometime!
Aloha Micah, my sons and I love your channel. We live in Waialua (Paalaa Kai). We ride Kahuku often with HMA guys like David Ho, we always set up camp right next to Rocky and Taylor Duprey. We have been riding lower Helemanu a lot, we enter right off of Kam Hwy. But Helemanu is not for the beginner or intermediate and your bike requires metal skid plate/pipe protection. You and I seem like we are close to the same level. My youngest son (Willie) is a hammer and he often has to wait for me. Oh Well, just wanted to reach out and thank you for the great content. Ride safe. Mike K
Yo, whats up ma man! Nah my skill level is gaurntee lower than you lol most of the time I just get lucky 😂 all for the enjoyment and having fun. You right tho, Helemano is no joke I only been a few times but those few were definitely rides to remember. I appreciate you and your boys for watching the videos and saying whats up. Can not beat good aloha spirits! Hopefully one day we run into each other in the trails 🤙🏽
Micah, I used to ride Kahuku a lot but in past years go to Mililani more. If you get a decent baseline understanding of the trails at Kahuku, I feel like it’s a little safer to roam around and “get lost”. There are more connections and even when I go on new trails I always seem to end up at familiar places. Mililani, there are some trails I try and for a bit I have no clue where it’s taking me 😂.
My Kahuku baseline is very limited 😂 Basically only a couple trails and the perimeter is what I know for sure, everything else is just taking a chance 🤣 I know exactly what you mean about Mills tho, that place can get you lost effortlessly. That's why most of what I ride is the same stuff over and over and only venture off far when someone leads us and truly knows the grounds.
@@MicahManagoI just came across a sick trail on the Palisades side that connects to the trail with the cross on top of that ridge. I want to explore that a bit more my next ride. It also continues up a spine on a ridge that looks like it goes right up the back side of the Ko’olau’s. With careful planning (and slow speeds getting there) can probably get further back there on one ultra bee battery.
@@TheTyLife88 Ho wow that sounds pretty gnarly! I've yet to touch the grounds of palisades side as my Unks tell's me it gets spooky in some sections 😂 In time I'll venture into those trails. The footage he shows me looks nuts as heck and super high up like how your saying the ridgleines. Getting to the Ko'olaus would be the dream tho. My favorite mountains in the world right there💪🏽
😂😂Still can still can just need time for rebuild the muscles lol at least that's what I'm telling myself. Automatic on that one sole, next time should be fun once my gout attack decides to go away lets get it!
Any trails down Waianae side mainly makaha I’m new to the scene but would love to take my son out since he’s been interested and shows potential boy learn fast. Thanks
Aloha ma man, I'm unfamiliar with the West Coast trails. There are a few trails on that side but I haven't explored them yet so I can't recommend any. Awesome to hear of some father & son bonding over bikes tho 💪🏽 Kahuku too far? Thats always the best spot to learn that's why 🤙🏽
Yeah kahuku not too far just gotta plan the day right and get me one decent starter bike hopefully we run into you and unks one day love the vids bro mahalo 🤙🏼
@v.5967 super true, riding kahuku becomes a full day event 😂 there’s a bunch of bikes on FB market place rn. I made a group called “Hawaii Dirt Bike / E Bike Trail Riders” was originally for people to get in contact and post videos but it organically turned into a frenzy of bike listings 😂 🤣 also yes if you ever see me in the trails or in public don’t hesitate to stop me. I’m always down to share a few moments with cool people. Hope everything works out for you & your son 🤙🏾
Cool vids Braddah. I haven’t rode trails since my younger days and haven’t been competing Moto at KAHUKU since 2007! Got married, my wife always scared I’m gonna kill myself so I ended up just doing the wife thing ever since. Wrong move lol. But I also have a bad back all fuggup but I still was trying to compete. I wanna ride again, maybe chill on the trails. Geez I forget how ride trails! 😂 all these new bike brands too idk nothing about. Anyways, cool vids Braddah! I subscribed! 🤙
Haha the wife thing. Thats cherry tho you used compete, thats a whole nother ball game that. I only ride for cruise and enjoy lol my Unks used to race and do all that as well but these days more better to just cruise in the trails. Ahh plenty bike brands but the same brands are the top dogs lol & can never go wrong with one KTM 😂Chee you the man braddah, much mahalos for saying whats up & subbing!! Hope one day you can find your way back to the sport 🤙🏽
