It's funny how I don't use any of these 😬 My loadout (starting at chapter 4, so there's a good reason why it's different) is always this: Sidearm: M1899 pistol Offhand: Either a second M1899 or the sawn-off shotgun (usually with incendiary rounds loaded) Repeater: Evans repeater for that amazing mag size Rifle: bolt-action because it's sexy Shotgun: Pump if I use one but I prefer the sawn-off as an offhand equip, really.
Tactically speaking it's the easiest town to defend yourself in. You've got 2 main points of entry, and you can duck behind cover relatively quick compared to other bigger cities in the game.
I really enjoy Micah’s Revolver, I got it that one way in Colton when ambushing Coles gang the first time. If he gets attacked he’ll drop his gun, you pick that shit up and you’ll have it the whole game, and then be killed by it at the end. If you’re low honor of course.
After you save the guy who got bit by a snake. When you're back in valentine he will be outside the gunsmith. He tells you to go inside and pick out what ever gun you want on him.

Fun fact about the Volcanic Pistol, it was extremely under powered in real life. It was developed before brass cartridges were developed so what it did was hollow out the back of the bullet and put the gun powder in that cavity with a bit of cork to hold it in place. This meant that there was very little powder to propel the bullet so it traveled very slowly. The gun was so weak that one guy bought one to commit suicide and returned it the next day because when he held it up to his head and fired it just gave him a nasty cut.
Little note about the Lancaster : just with split point ammo (that you can craft any time with just normal ammo), you can one shot people fairly reliably if you hit the torso.

The bow needs to be on this list. its so underused, and its a one-shot kill anywhere on the body and something like dynamite arrows can kill 5+ guys with one shot. totally worth the fire rate.
In my experience, the Volcanic Pistol hit's much harder than the Schofield revolver. Plus, you have three more rounds. It might be slower in the firing, but as I stated, it hits harder.
I like the mauser pistol more because of the higher ammo count, fire rate, and reload speed. I'm going for headshots most of the time so they last a bit longer than other pistols
@@Krunkles from the mission where you have to hunt the 4 gunslinger. Go to your satchel and go to the photo for the gunslinger named midnight (forgot his full name) once you kill him he will drop his version of the mauser and then you can go butly another one to dualwield it
Exactly, my fav thing to do is just quickly turn on and off dead eye, bc it also resets the cooldown to shoot on ur gun. So with a volcanic pistol u can shoot really fast

Found a gold bar, collected some bounties, went to Saint Denis to sell some stuff at a pawn shop and I walked out of there with all gun belt upgrades and fine clothes, did the mission that enables the Schofield to become available for sale and have been walking around with two fully customised Schofield revolvers ever since.

Micahs revolver is the best double action revolver and one of the best in the game. May have lower accuracy but it really puts in work in mid range engagements. With express rounds it does almost the same damage as the scofield but also has a faster fire rate

I was able to get a bolt action rifle early in Chapter 2 by going to rescue Sean at the first opportunity. It was dropped by one of the bounty hunters. I'm not sure if it's a dedicated load out or if it was randomly assigned, but - damn - it feels good slung to your back so soon into the game.
Side note based on personal experience (unless I’m doing it wrong)...If you’re hunting and the animal in question calls for a “rifle” for a clean kill, go with the Rolling Block or Springfield. For some reason the bolt action always reduces a 3 star buck to a 1 Star, no matter where I shoot it. Hope this helps. Happy Hunting
I use it for everything, my go to weapon in a medium+ range shootout because it only takes 1 shot. If there aren't hoards of enemy's close then it works at close range as well. Haven't really used the rolling block rifles but that might be an alternative
Chad Hammer didn’t use it a single time during my second playthrough because the inability to tag more than one person on dead eye with it is a major turn off

My preferred loadout is the called the Blackwater Massacre, the dual schofields a itchfield repeater, and a pump action shotgun, I call it that because its the only weapons you can buy in Blackwater.
I think the biggest advantage the bolt action has over the rolling block is the ability to put iron sights on it. That's a really big deal when hunting, which I do a lot.
Not true on the bot action rifle. You can pick it up from one of guards in the mission where you save Shawn in chapter 2. Specifically it’s the 2nd set of guards you encounter, and it’s the guy on the left
Are you sure you know which guns are best, or is thi just to get a video out as soon as possible to get views? You have the most basic and easily accrued guns which makes me wonder. For instance there no mention of two-bit tomahawk, granger's revolver, flaco's revolver, midnight's pistol
This also doesn’t take the familiarity with the into consideration, like my basic volcanic pistol no upgrades is better than his Schofield. Because I use it all the time therefore my stats are better. So all the guns are relatively equal.
I also think its down to personal preferance. I hated the schofield. So stuck with my standard cattleman revolver. Most of the stats on the guns balance out. As soon as i got the double action revolver that was it for me. Thats my gun of choice now. Dont want the mauser as good as it is because of ammo capacity.

Unique weapons such as flaco or granger revolver can't be upgraded. If you want the best dual revolvers combo, schofield and volcanic are the best. Now between this two if you want the highest DPS pick volcanic or if you want a more versatile weapon with a better ROF and reload, go for schofield
Now that the LeMat revolver is now in with updates, it’s an absolute beast and a must have. Higher power and accuracy than the schofield, 9 rounds in the cylinder compared to the normal 6, and the capability to literally blow someone’s head of with the secondary shotgun function. Add the long barrel, rifling and improved sights and you essentially have a killing machine that you can stick in your pocket. Only flaw I can think of is the slow reload but it’s not much compared to everything else it offers
i used lemat revolver, i can say its kinda good, but what it makes it bad is the reload like bro it reloads per second and there are 9 bullets just imagine using dual guns u use lemat revolver and then u get 0 bullets bruh
When you take the Schofield revolver if you wait an officer will try to investigate the gun shots if you hogtie him you won’t get a bounty (have your mask on)

Shrub -A- Dhruv statistically, it is, although you do lose the satisfaction of being a rootin', tootin', double action usin' gunslinger. Personally, I use Calloway's revolver since its a fucking work of art and still has decent stats and for my off hand revolver I use the Otis Miller revolver because it also looks really cool (second only to the Calloway revolver) and again has decent stats.
For me the Cattleman is the best all-around revolver. Decent stats on everything. The Schofield is a bit slow to reload, which is why it has better damage, accuracy, and range, and the double-action takes too long to focus in and get a straight shot.
Once I got the bolt action that's pretty much all I ever used haha. It's so good doing cover shooting. Repeaters are good for horse back and dual revolvers for shooting up the town.

If u upgrade revolver Cattleman it's better in every stat expect damage but ist a very small difference (comparing upgraded cattleman to upgraded schofield obviously)
I have dual wielding schofields, one is silver with an ebony handle, the other is blackened metal with the pearl handle. 😊 Those are my favorite guns, along with the semi auto shotgun.

On the first game the Springfield was my go to weapon especially online. It may be slow to reload but it's so powerful.

Reloading speed is not always relevant, since you can do an automatic reload each time you activate dead eye (even for a split second).
Exactly, my fav thing to do is just quickly turn on and off dead eye, bc it also resets the cooldown to shoot on ur gun. So with a volcanic pistol u can shoot really fast

Found a gold bar, collected some bounties, went to Saint Denis to sell some stuff at a pawn shop and I walked out of there with all gun belt upgrades and fine clothes, did the mission that enables the Schofield to become available for sale and have been walking around with two fully customised Schofield revolvers ever since.

First you have to go to the back of the store and look through a window, this will unlock a little side quest that you can do in the store then go to the shopkeeper and aim your weapon then in the bottom right it will show a option called rob back room, press it then the shopkeeper will open the black door and you have to kill all the people inside and in the little box in the table has the schofield revolver

This is the best pistol you can get in the story mode
Location-you can buy it in any gunsmith

Micahs revolver is the best double action revolver and one of the best in the game. May have lower accuracy but it really puts in work in mid range engagements. With express rounds it does almost the same damage as the scofield but also has a faster fire rate

I was able to get a bolt action rifle early in Chapter 2 by going to rescue Sean at the first opportunity. It was dropped by one of the bounty hunters. I'm not sure if it's a dedicated load out or if it was randomly assigned, but - damn - it feels good slung to your back so soon into the game.

I find Springfield a way better rifle with a versatile scope, good damage and much better reload speed
Side note based on personal experience (unless I’m doing it wrong)...If you’re hunting and the animal in question calls for a “rifle” for a clean kill, go with the Rolling Block or Springfield. For some reason the bolt action always reduces a 3 star buck to a 1 Star, no matter where I shoot it. Hope this helps.

I think they have updated already. Animals for repeaters lose stars when killed by the bolt action rifle and it kills rifle animals clean
Not with me it doesn't. My go to hunting rifle is the Bolt action rifle and I get 3 star kills all the time

It might be better but Lancaster repeater looks better has really good stats and you can get it early
Benjamin Smith that’s the only downside of the Litchfield is having to wait so long for it but agree about the looks of the Lancaster.
Lancaster is more accurate though, and you need to be accurate to get a 1 shot kill with either of them.
The Springfield is probably the best single gun in the game.

I use it for everything, my go to weapon in a medium+ range shootout because it only takes 1 shot. If there aren't hoards of enemy's close then it works at close range as well.
Haven't really used the rolling block rifles but that might be an alternative
Chad Hammer didn’t use it a single time during my second playthrough because the inability to tag more than one person on dead eye with it is a major turn off

My preferred loadout is the called the Blackwater Massacre, the dual schofields a itchfield repeater, and a pump action shotgun, I call it that because its the only weapons you can buy in Blackwater.

I think the biggest advantage the bolt action has over the rolling block is the ability to put iron sights on it. That's a really big deal when hunting, which I do a lot.

Are you sure you know which guns are best, or is thi just to get a video out as soon as possible to get views? You have the most basic and easily accrued guns which makes me wonder. For instance there no mention of two-bit tomahawk, granger's revolver, flaco's revolver, midnight's pistol
This also doesn’t take the familiarity with the into consideration, like my basic volcanic pistol no upgrades is better than his Schofield. Because I use it all the time therefore my stats are better. So all the guns are relatively equal.
I also think its down to personal preferance. I hated the schofield. So stuck with my standard cattleman revolver. Most of the stats on the guns balance out. As soon as i got the double action revolver that was it for me. Thats my gun of choice now. Dont want the mauser as good as it is because of ammo capacity.

Unique weapons such as flaco or granger revolver can't be upgraded. If you want the best dual revolvers combo, schofield and volcanic are the best. Now between this two if you want the highest DPS pick volcanic or if you want a more versatile weapon with a better ROF and reload, go for schofield

Now that the LeMat revolver is now in with updates, it’s an absolute beast and a must have. Higher power and accuracy than the schofield, 9 rounds in the cylinder compared to the normal 6, and the capability to literally blow someone’s head of with the secondary shotgun function. Add the long barrel, rifling and improved sights and you essentially have a killing machine that you can stick in your pocket. Only flaw I can think of is the slow reload but it’s not much compared to everything else it offers
And it wears out faster than other guns but other than that it's a beast

I have found that the 1899 pistol is a very reliable pistol. With express rounds it puts enemies down in 1 or 2 well placed shots

Shrub -A- Dhruv statistically, it is, although you do lose the satisfaction of being a rootin', tootin', double action usin' gunslinger.
Personally, I use Calloway's revolver since its a fucking work of art and still has decent stats and for my off hand revolver I use the Otis Miller revolver because it also looks really cool (second only to the Calloway revolver) and again has decent stats.

For me the Cattleman is the best all-around revolver. Decent stats on everything. The Schofield is a bit slow to reload, which is why it has better damage, accuracy, and range, and the double-action takes too long to focus in and get a straight shot.
Once I got the bolt action that's pretty much all I ever used haha. It's so good doing cover shooting. Repeaters are good for horse back and dual revolvers for shooting up the town.
You can get the mauser early when angelo bronte throws one at john
And you can get a bolt action on one of the bounty hunters in the saving sean quest
just get the mauser by doing the billy midnight sidequest

I have dual wielding schofields, one is silver with an ebony handle, the other is blackened metal with the pearl handle. 😊 Those are my favorite guns, along with the semi auto shotgun.
