I think it's strange that they decided to make shaman and dryad tier 1 instead of witch doctor and druid of the talon, because then you'd have an entire support group with debuff abilities with less obvious best picks. And tier 2 is a mess in general. Groupings that would make more sense would be: [shaman, druid of the claw, priest, necromancer], [hippo, gargoyle, bat, flying machines], [dryad, raider, dragonhawk, statue], [spellbreaker, spirit walker, faerie dragon, shade], keep the siege group as it is and move kodo to tier 3 (in bat's slot) because in their current slot they are literally just a must-pick walking damage aura that's at least on par with the power of other tier 3 stuff.
Not a bad idea. It would however ensure that summon heroes are picked for tempo 99% of the time since there would be no counter unless 250g is spent for t2.
witch doctor in tier 1 would be an even worse pic than sorc. there would be no reason to ever pick it, and tier 1 is much more important to have options
Wouldn't tier 1 Talons be ridiculous tho? Faerie Fire is very strong after all, the only reason they might not be OP is because the frontline would fall quickly anyway.
@@ernestomarcos0103 Sure, faerie fire is pretty good, but so are sorc slow and banshee's curse if there's no dispel to remove them. Witch doctor probably would be the weakest because their utility would be mostly limited to stasis traps ensuring the next enemy wave won't cross the middle if you're already ahead, but maybe something could be done about their AI to make ward placement more proactive.
Great tier list! Glad you say every unit can be used, because sometimes those low tier units, while not all purpose, can function as great counters. Sorceress for example does great against Wyrms / Chims with polymorph, and if the Wyrms / Chims have buffs on them, the AI won't dispel the poly since it would be removing the positive buff!
10:00 rifleman shots are not instant. You can actually see the projectile travel, it's a little fog type of thing, very visible on higher brightness settings. In fact, the travel time itself is actually not that much faster than a headhunter spear.
my t1 ranged unit lineup is way different from grubs imo its fiend-hh-archer-rifle his arguement against fiend, that with web the enemy air is still attacking your knights, is double sided yes his wyrms are still attacking your knights, but your knights can now hit his wyrms fiends allow you to go heavy ground units without fear of being hard punished by air, and having to mass out a new unit just to counter it throw in 3-4 fiends, and your mass melee army can kill his ranged units just as easily
Its just like saying "healing wave on lv 1 shadow is better than wards!" yeah like in niche cases, but in most situations HH best, rifle, archer, fiend. fiends have the lowest dps of the t1 ranged, and if you spam fiends and only have like lets say bears and knights, if they have a decent frontline, lets just say MGs, while theyre webbed and the MGs are taunting your units, if they have like 3~4 wyrms, your frontline is gone especially if they leave gaps inbetween their ranged and melee so the wyrms fall there instead of infront of you. Oh and burrow as an ability sucks and webbed units dont move, so the MGs will inch closer while wryms are safer. Thats why nobody likes fiends, theyre expensive and they can work against you. IMO 1,2 fiends to web couple units or unless youre going basnhees to web and then possess a unit, fiends are a bad investment. and picking something in the hopes that you can get the other unit is just not it. archers require too much to be good, aka need to be t3 to get full value, while rifles require 1 less upgrade, kicks in at t2, and are cheaper than archers. I remember this game... where I had huntresses on t1. The opponent started massing rifles to deal with them. I think huntress should be higher on the tier list, they don't share armor type with Knight/Tauren/MG so you can have an double armor type Frontline and the enemy can't just build piercing damage to melt your frontline

I’ve heard that Mortar Teams were considered one of the stronger siege units in ladder because despite their lower attack damage, their attack speed gives them higher dps than demos. Is that true? And is this true in DS or was their dps nerfed to the point where they can’t do that anymore? Edit: Oh… 35 damage. Welp.
Grubby? Is archer putting out less damage than beserkers in direct strike? Because in wc3 it does not. have they changed them that drastically. Because if you put a archer in wc3 next to a beserker, headhunter then archer will outdamage a headhunter over time because their attack speed is 1.5sec While a beserker is 2.31sec and around 1.73sec during the 12 seconds in beserk mode. Now if we have units like shamans who cast bloodlust the beserker does more damage. but without it the archer would win a damage fight once we start getting into 25-30sec because they will release more shots.
Ranking DS's units feel kinda weird for me tho. Imo, these units counter each other like rock scissors paper so you can't tell which is best and which isn't
The game does have a rock paper scissors system, but some units are clearly more universally useful, and better at countering things and not being countered by as many things, or at other things, like being able to integrate themselves into many armies. Since you are picking before you know what the opponent brings to the battlefield, it makes perfect sense to rate units by how well you can expect them to perform on average.
You can rank them similarly to how almost everything else is ranked in other games. There are many units that are just super garbage (like shade) that by itself isn't worth picking for
i would def but faery dragons higher than kodos, without upgrade it only adds 5% (i think thats less than a level of damage uprade, and these are cheaper at lvl1/2), and faery dragons just destroy all enemy castes with 2-4 faerys
You're def drafting wrong then. Kodo is 10% with a further 10% with the upgrade (tooltip is incorrect). Faerie dragon can be outmicro'd and is inconsistent at best because mana flare has a cooldown so a demon hunter using immo or black arrow or priests healing or whatever can soak up the flare right before a bigger spell like cripple is cast. At mid and high level kodo is an auto pick.
Honestly disagree on the dotc/spirit walker tier, simply b/c I value aoe dispel that highly, and spirit walkers have a bigger one than priests. IMO, necro is easily the worst one there, because it isn't really a big power spike like a druid of the claw or a couple of spirit walkers, and nor does it tank like a spellbreaker. Once a necro's out of mana, that's it. Furthermore, necro feeds enemy heroes experience. It just feels like the worst of the lot by far. Also, breakers are bugged in this game IMO. They never seem to actually burn enemy hero mana.
Necro is one of the most dangerous units in the game. T3 rush with necros is basically the only thing worth t3 rushing for and if you don't have a lot of aoe dispel (especially destroyers) a stack can end the game in
So let me get this straight blizzard saw this map years ago made Warcraft rumble it's a greedy flop nobody wants to play it and now we just have a real better Warcraft rumble that's not a greedy money grab

Hello Gruby!!
Thanks for your World!!
How can I do to play this game??
Rimworld Music. When Gruppy Rimworld Gameplay?
I wanna play this, but paying 30€ its hella expensive :D
Less direct strike, more hero spotlight pls :D
I wonder if Direct Strike will have balance changes for the not so rated high units
While grubby is really good at wc3, he is still learning direct strike. They arent going to balance around new players tier list
Direct Strike does get balance changes, but I don't think they're gonna be based on Grubby's tier list alone.
What about abilities like polymorph and cyclone? You didn't evaluate how valuabke they are.
PotM should get summon hawk instead of silence. Y/N?
Audio much lower in this video, I'm like turning up to max
T3 rush with necros is basically the only thing worth t3 rushing for and if you don't have a lot of aoe dispel (especially destroyers) a stack can end the game in
Berserkers go OwO
Ik draft altijd ghouls met necro mannetjes
Respec for tauren 😊

Worst tier list I have EVER seen. Ghouls under Huntress? What? Ghouls is the best T1 unit
Undead is least favorite to play, tho he called them a strong race. On top of being a factor favoring ghouls, it says something about Meat Wagon.
Not above 1400 mmr they aren't. Your opponent will likely have any sort of AOE from hero or lightning shield and get orb of darkness and your ghouls just suck.
first to say first!
