Hi! Me and my husband have been planning to go to Russia next summer, but since we also have a four year old daughter and I’m hearing all kinds of things (especially from western and Latvian(my home country)media) I am a bit nervous. But I have been in Russia some years before the war because I have some family there - my father’s uncle (basically my grandmother’s brother) has lived there almost all his life, married a Russian lady and has lived there since. He’s very old now and I wish to meet him because he’s the last living family member from that generation. But I’m very anxious because of safety and I could never travel anywhere with my daughter if I wouldn’t be 100% sure about safety. And I have heard authorities in Latvia saying that they could interrogate on the border or take your phone etc which sounds scary. But I’m so confused and don’t know what’s true or not because at the same time I see many people online saying that it’s really safe and they are travelling to Russia. My relatives live in Moscow by the way and my husband is Norwegian and my daughter has Norwegian passport. Do you think it’s safe for us to travel, I need some advice please 🙏
