What do you guys think of the iceberg? Are there any more bits of lore or trivia you think could've been added? Are there entries here you didn't even know about? Let's discuss down below!
Fun Fact: Cortex has a crush on Tawan Bandicoot that's why he mutated her and captured in Crash 1 (and because cortex said she wasn't like any other women or a human) because Cortex actually hates humans. That's why he doesn't live near them and can only around a few of them like N. Brio or N. Gin. Or heck N. Trophy (yes his full human not a cyborg surprisingly.
The reason why cortex has a metal plated N on his forhead is because so he won't forget his true goal and reason why his doing this in the first place. So it can be a constant reminder that humanity is no good.
This has been great! Thank you for taking the time to make it. I found it all very interesting, and I have been searching for a video with more lore in it! Excellent video👍
Adding onto the N. Gin shouldn’t be alive theory, I’ve read before that N. Gin is going through necrosis/decomposition throughout the series caused by his rocket. This can be seen in Twinsanity where he has green skin, and every game after where he has gray skin.
It's heavily implied that Coco was created by Brio in the 1 year following the first game. She 'conveniently' was created with the ability to sabotage any of Cortex's inventions, which is something Brio would want, in the very same game she appeared in. She can also be seen working with Brio on the Laser in the 100% ending. In Crash 2 she generally behaves in much the same manner as Brio does, warning Crash not to collect crystals and communicating with him via the hologram channel.
This is all true, and something I did neglect to mention! While the point of that entry was to show that it was never explained in-universe, and "Crash 4" never went out of its way to directly confirm this, I certainly missed adding this info into the entry itself!
Really?! I never noticed that. I always wondered where she came from because the first game implied all the antro animals were created by Cortex so it was always weird to me that Coco was so humanoid like the animals created by Cortex yet it never appeared as she was also an experiment.
All of this would explain why Coco gets the knowledge about that escape pod from the very last flashback stage, while making sure that the mutating experiment would stop for good by documenting her escape as if it was another experimenting route...
But that doesn’t make sense. Because the early tapes take place in 1996, ok makes sense. But later ones take place in 1997? When Cortex Castle was partly burned down? Why is Cortex back at the castle and why doesn’t it look to be in poor condition?
The crash timeline being fixed by Coco splitting the timeline was so smart and such a good way to not devalue the old game but to simply have two coexisting universes with an in lore reason for their existance

With that unused Tawnaverse song and the implication that the N. Tropy duo were supposed to be the final boss originally, I’m gonna bet that was originally a world map thing and the final word was going to be Tawna’s home world and we would fight Fem Tropy on her own turf.
Always thought 4 mean they split timelines Like the Warped's first ending leads to Wrath of Cortex which is why they immediately comeback and bring out Crunch Warped's secret ending where Uka Uka, Cortex, and N Trophy are trapped for 22 years and and leads to It's About Time
I'm aware that this is like half a year, but cannot express enough how underrated that line is. Somehow, well equlibrated dark moments employed for the Crash Universe really can work and makes it stick out... Shows that their comedic natures are *SHEERLY DECEPTIVE:* *These malefactors are actually really volatile and horrfying threats (from scientists causing IRL disasters plus sadistically cranking the bolts from a partner by merely being right, replacing the arms of the niece that eliminates the good she had, heroes dying, potential Nazis, etc. etc.)* *Really love the Lore where under the facade of goofy shenanigans, it really can slap much more unassumingly.*
Great stuff! I do have one note, though- you say that N. Brio tried to kill Crash and Coco in 4. That's not the case- if you listen to his in-level dialogue, he considers Crash and Coco his only friends, that he plans on using a potion to overthrow Cortex, and that the entire level is his test run for his potion, with his boss fight basically being a final trial. But N. Brio's grasp on reality is so loose that he doesn't fully realize the lethal nature of his "tests". In fact, I think there's a line from him when you die that goes along the lines of "Hey, are you alright?" It's a small thing, but I think it's important to note that N. Brio doesn't have murderous INTENT- he's just a bit too loopy to realize that death is the inevitable result of his experiments.
I like how you included that one creepy greyscale edit of the Crash 1 cover where Crash has sunken eyes and a s Jeff The Killer styled grin. That used to scare the hell out of me as a kid.
52:07 I've always imagined that Crash & Coco aren't biological siblings, they just call each other that because (for a long time) they've only ever had each other after they escaped (Tawna dumped Crash for Pinstripe).
25:44 Coco splitting the timeline into Crash 4 by existing in N. Sane Trilogy is a cute theory, but it kinda implies CTR also doesn't happen in the Crash 4 timeline alongside the post-ND pre-revival games. There's canonical references to CTR in WoC and Twinsanity, so either that's gone too or that and other games end up happening in both timelines regardless.
Completely missed the opportunity to point out that the secret warp room in Crash 2 is actually part of the remains of Castle Cortex. It's also where Brio developed his laser beam after Cortex left the castle to build the space station. I would go as far as to say that the time twister machine was also built on the castle ruins, which Cortex has returned to in Crash 3. And even though CTR isn't cannon, Citadel City in the game's hub world is clearly Cortex's castle. Why don't fans talk about this?
I think that Cortex either called Nina his daughter since he's her legal guardian and has two roles mixed up in his head (remember that he sometimes slips and calls himself Crash's father as well, since he "adopted" him in a way by evolving into a sentient creature) OR (!) he is her father but wanted to distance himself from her so he took on an "uncle" role to not get to close as whenever (in his eyes) he gets close to people, they hurt him (like his family, or crash). . I also think that he took Nina's hands to "protect her" kinda "toughthen her up" in his own twisted way so she has a weapon to fight bullies (he didn't have any means for it) and pesky animals WHO YOU SHOULD NOT HUG BECAUSE THEN THEY WILL ESCAPE AFTER EVOLVING, BURN YOUR CASTLE DOWN, TAKE YOUR BLIMP AND BREAK YOUR HEART... ekhem... You know. . Also Cortex could've destroyed the world... but that was never his deal. He's not annihilator, a destroyer, he's a creator. That's part of why he helps us in Crash 4, why destroy world? What to do then? Nah, not his idea of fun.
17:05 This one's wrong actually. The ending of "A Huge Adventure" shows that the villains had returned to normal, so Uka Uka's reasons for abandoning Cortex were just that - him failing.
I’ve thought recently that Wrath of Cortex and the games beyond are what happens in the timeline if Cortex and N.Tropy weren’t trapped in the prison while Crash 4 is the opposite, also about the mutilation of everyone Cortex works with not including N.Tropy,I don’t remember where I heard this but apparently his blue skin came from his experimentation with time travel and also if you look at his torso his shoulders are extremely long and almost pop out of his body, which I think could hint at some kind of incident
Good video, dude! It was really nice to learn a little more about Crash lore! But there's one thing that I want to clarify that you didn't get: Cortex not destroying the world. Cortex does not want to destroy the world, he wants to rule it. Even when he builds a destructive weapon like in Crash 2, it's always for the sake of world domination rather than planetary destruction. Yes, Cortex could've crushed the world in his fingers, or stamped it out with his foot, or even channel his inner Galactus and straight up eat it, but what would that give him? Only a moment's satisfaction and then the eternal silence and emptiness of space. Victory doesn't count for Cortex unless everyone bows to him.
You know what, that's very true! With Huge Adventure, Cortex sets himself up for MANY different fates for the planet, but it was always interesting to me that he never really took any of those chances. But yes, thanks for clarifying that that's still his true motive; it is something I neglected to mention!
I think part of the point that was being made was that Cortex could have destroyed the world unintentionally even if that wasn't his goal. Just holding the entire earth in your hand would probably be enough to destroy all life on it if you think about it. I'm not saying what you said isn't true; just that that's another thing to consider
Also thought of others. Other animals died horribly from the same tests Crash and Coco managed to survive. Flashback tapes quote N Brio get the mop Wombat skulls shatter like snow globes N Brio saying he wont have to clean Bandicoot guts on the floor Another tid bit Coco's General and Through the ringer skin she wears an eye patch on her right eye.
I am a HUGE Gex fan and I agree Crash would have been obnoxious as hell if he acted like that. I think what differentiates that from Gex is that Gex at least has breathing room between his quips. If he just kept flashing between programs he'd be truly insufferable. You know what Willie actually reminds me of, now that this video has had time to simmer and new stuff has come out? Spamton from Deltarune. They both are interrupted in their speech by sudden bursts of dialogue from different media.
I know of him, but we've yet to play that far into Chapter 2 to see him; that's pretty funny though! It's really interesting observing these kinds of similarities!
Crash's media-obsessed persona may have influenced the Australian commercial for Crash 2, as he references multiple TV shows and movies, like Johnny Carson and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Not sure if this has been brought up but i believe the N does stand for Nitro, but not for Nitrogen, no i think it is a take on the work NitroGlycerIN. A dense liquid used for treating Heart Attacks and painful Periods. It is also used in *Rocket Fuel* as it is very oily and *Explosive* Also the N in N-Trance stands for Nucleus, the heart of an egg cell. That image in Layer 8 damn near gave me a heart attack!
so was anybody gonna tell me that nitroglycerin is used to treat painful period symptoms, or was i supposed to learn that in the comment section of a crash lore iceberg myself?
I like to think that the Titans/Mutant games take place in a timeline that covers similar events to the previous games. And because of how much of a deviation the gameplay and character designs are, I think that the other Tawna and N. Tropy are from this universe too.
Since I learned about deep underground military bases, genetic hybridisation experiments and the secret space program it's all I can see in these games.. and many more to be honest.
I gotta say I'm a huge fan of the Crash Bandicoot series. It has been with me from birth to my early 20's. This video has been a joy to watch. There was so much to learn about the lore, and you pieced it together perfectly. Thank you. This was an awesome video!
I think don't think Crash was ever meant to be rejected by Cortex after the Cortex Vortex failed to corrupt him. It's stated in the first game that Cortex intended for Crash to lead his army as a General, but after the failure of the Vortex, he was going to have Crash be yet another foot soldier in his army. As long as he can follow basic orders, Cortex had a use for him. Coco was the third bandicoot evolved and her intelligence would've made her the General instead of Crash.
YO HELLO THERE!!! THAT WAS MY OLD THUMBNAIL!!! Thanks for the late and great shout out my friend, I actually still have the iceburg I used in that video and want to remake it soon!
My theorey is Nina acually IS Cortexes daughter but maybe he dosnt want anyone too know that. Not even she herself. Perhabs a wary bad falling out with her mum ore maybe she died in an experiment and so Cortex just cant bear being a father, ore dosnt think he is fit fore that role. Up until Crash of the Titans he clearley cared fore her a lot, and heck even after her betrayal in Titans he only send her too a diffrent school when he could have done FAR worse. In fact sending her too public evil school seems a wary tame punishment even if Nina is utterly misrable there
I've recently discovered icebergs and I really enjoy them all. This one especially was really well done. I commend you and everyone else for working hard to contribute to a big project like this. : )
Awesome vid!! Thanks for this! Haha, since childhood I always thought of Neo's N to be a genetical thing, just part of his body, going through puberty transforming to a capital N. I learned a while ago that that was not the case lol. Cool to have a deeper look at that. Woohoo, Cortex Complex! Good old days. Still love JenL's stuff, her universe definitely left a mark on my headcanons since back in the day. Very interesting to learn more about Gin's influence on Coco there. Hmm, I'd never heard of the "Nitrogen" name pun theory for "Nitro Gin". It's really cool and logical in terms of canonical fit, but I've headcanonned it to be a European name like Nikolai or Nikola since my childhood, so I don't think I'm going to get used to an alternative anytime soon :P Also, there's already Nitrus and Nitrous, adding a Nitro feels weird to me XD Pffh, I only read the bible a year ago or so, I was quite shocked about Brio's bolts and the messed up relationship. Oh damn, learning the island names was actually quite a revelation haha! And the whole thing about the castle ruins and the warp rooms left me pretty mindblown. Those are some huge details that click really hard for me!! And the Von Cluch lore... whaattt hahaha I hope we get to see more of N.Gin's lore in the future! I think I'll completely lose my shit if they ever reveal a canonical flashback to his pre-missile state or even show the actual events around the accident itself, damn...
I'm glad you liked it! I loved watching a bunch of Crash fan stuff as a kid, and Outcast Bandicoot and Cortex Complex were some of the most interesting ones I'd found! :D Yeah, Nitro Gin was entirely Miharu's idea; not a theory, just a suggestion! But yes, seeing his missile incident would be crazy!
@@DestinationMarc I remember hearing that the missile came from an incident in a factory where it went live while N.Gin worked there and lodged itself in his head, probably too deep to remove, so N.Gin quickly jury rigged the missile into a sort of life support machine so that it wouldn’t kill him
While the entry regarding Cortex absence in N. Tranced is a fun theory, it's not canon. In the 100% ending when we beat Megamix and explode the space station, we see a panel with Cortex, N. Gin, Tiny and Dingodile in an escape pod/ destroyed part of the station, meaning that Megamix turned back to normal after the explosion (for some reason). The more probable theory would be that the villains were still stuck in space, trying to go back home during N. Tranced story.
@@DestinationMarc No problem. Just wanted to set it straight. Also, i didn't notice the other comment. If i saw it, i wouldn't write such a long comment.
its crazy watching this as someone who grew up on the original trilogy but never stayed for the rest im just here like "yeah that fun goofy platformer i played non stop.... so a character makes a holocaust joke????"
Long time Crash fan here! I've been playing Crash since 96 or 97 when I was 6 or 7 years old. I've learned some new facts about the game and it's characters from this video and it was a very interesting video to watch.
All the bad guys names begin with N.... Minus the lackeys. Other than the pun there must be a reason why those with first names beginning with N all get drawn to a life of evil and science.. The biggest mystery of all.
For N.Gin, it feels like him and N.Trance, having one eye bigger than the other somewhat suggests that their name is literal in the word that they sound in (N.Gin being "Engine", and N.Trance being "Entrance"... notice how both start with an "En" rather than an "An" or "In"). And after hearing those theories about Von Clutch... those are definitely not untrue stories at all. Things being like this does have all the Crash games including the spin-offs really feel like they all take place in their actual release year, exactly on that day... almost as if every single developer up till this point intended it to be that way in that release year with no delays unless it was within the same year. When I did that same connection for Crash 4, some of the redditors called me crazy and dumb. I'm quite happy that I was right about this all along lmao. +1 for the ultimate lore iceberg xD I also really liked how you used very fitting soundtracks from across the series to fit the exact position of whatever the current talking point of what iceberg piece was being covered. That's a very awesome detail. Really though, the amount of actual real-world details the series has, especially games like Mind Over Mutant and Wrath of Cortex... really makes you wonder what the developers' thinking process was, and then going into Crash 4, that is doubled down on with the existence of the Elementals being A LOT older than we actually think. Although that should be natural to know, since the planet Earth is bascially combined from all of the 4 key elements (Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind). It just feels like them being controlled by higher-tiered masks is a no-brainer, given that they are only really locked to the planet Earth more than anything mostly. I'd love for them to eventually dive deeper into the meaning of the Elementals and Quantum masks, and what all of their relations are with this weird "mask-eating monster from beyond the stars" that Crash 4 introduced or seemingly nudged at. Regarding Uka Uka's introduction to Crash 3, I feel like his inclusion for this supposed "retcon" of ideas that 1 and 2 originally introduces was more so in-line of Cortex just using different methods to follow Uka's instructions, whether the first two games mention him by name or not. The ultimate premise with the first two games, and Warped as well, was: World Domination. Coming to Alternate Tawna in Crash 4, she is arguably one of the darkest characters right alongside Female N.Tropy's lore. Their dimension/universe is literally unknown. Just HOW did N.Tropy there succeed in wiping Crash and Coco? This setting makes it seem like it would make room for a Rift Apart-esque storyline where it's literally Nefarious succeeding and becoming the Emperor of that univese entirely, allowing for a visual showcase where the bad guys actually succeed... and we see the result of that across the various planets we explore in that universe. All in all, great interpolation to this conglomerate of an iceberg. Great compilation!
It’s likely the case that “The Ancients” are who control the Elementals, and who are responsible for entrapping them in the first place. The Ancients are probably the most powerful characters in the Crash universe.
@@DestinationMarc I'm just so tired of that, lol. I don't recall a *SINGLE* Iceberg Video that explains what the trope is. There's literally *HUNDREDS* of these videos - I think we get the point by now! And if someone asks, well, their loss! They should just watch another video that explains them! That aside... lovely video.
@@SegaMario I definitely agree; the only reason why I explained it at the beginning is because this was my first-ever time making this type of video. My audience doesn't know me for that, and I can't just assume they've binged iceberg vids before, so I kinda felt obligated to explain haha. If ever I do make another one, I'll nix that part entirely!
I believe the Ancients (Crash bash) where supposed to be the gods of the crash bandicoot universe but just where forgotten in the PS1 Era. They may be the Masks in crash 4. But i think they are the gods from crash bandicoot because why was aku aku so scared the ancients would find out? And also i believe crash bandicoot 4 is a split timeline. So to explain it how i think it is Crash bandicoot normal ending goes to crash bandicoot 2 and its 100% ending leads to crash 3 and the q00% ending is continues to crash bandicoot 4 but the normal end leads to ctr because in wrath of cortex there was a racing trophx in the intro.
I do have a personal set of headcanaons(explications not from the soruce material)that explains how Uka could of been involved in the first two games 1 Cortex already Has the gems at the start of crash 1. 2 the reason he needs an army and a general to lead it along with his plan to take over the world is to forcibly excavate the temple uka uka is Sealed In. 3 in crash 2 his plan was to effectively brain wash the entire world with the giant cortex Vortex and of course with the entire world brain washed he Has his Army to Excavate the temple uka uka is Sealed in and even if a ton of people resist the mind control due to not being mutated by the Evolvo ray he has the resources he needs to free Uka Uka And if hes Lucky Maybe even Brain wash uka uka in rhe process to gain Access to his Knowledge and power.
I just wanna see an actual finished Twinsanity bro, didn’t really love the original but I saw the potential. It felt like it could’ve been a really good game but it was really buggy and a lot was cut out
52:08 The only way I can see Pinstripe being wanted for murder is if he accidentally killed someone in the crossfire between him and some enemy (he is a Mafia potoroo after all), or if the person he killed was said enemy (considering he is a hired bodyguard after leaving Cortex Power he could have done it whilst defending himself or someone else). I don't recall him being a thief though (unless he is in Twinsanity but I never played that so idk), so him stealing valuables is probably off the table.
I definitely should've rewritten the "valuables" bit, and the one thing I didn't research about the IRL shootings was how and why they happened. Thought that might've been a bit too grim for the video, but yeah, it would've helped to deduce a better reasoning for Pinstripe.
50:09 I don't know how useful this is, but in Skylanders Imaginators (a game with heavy Crash featuring), the characters mention how "the Antients" used "mind magic" to create their home of Skylands. There's likely more I don't remember, but for now I think that's a decent lead.
Its insane how skylanders also has its own serise of anchiants. With the 6th game focusing on the last of them, the same game where crash made his return.
Nina is most likely Cortex's daughter, and he lies about her being his niece in order to play down her importance to him, as he sees showing fatherly affection as weakness that he doesn't want to display in front of Crash.
i think the reason the wrath of cortex and crash 4 is the ending of crash warped wrath of cortex could be after the normal ending and crash 4 after the 100% ending because we dont see baby cortex in wrath of cortex but we do see him in crash 4
You forgot about why tawna didn’t appear again after the first ever crash game, while you did reveal the development reason why she was finished off (because she was way too risqué of a kid friendly character), you didn’t theorise the in universe reason why she suddenly disappeared after she was saved by her crush crash, she did appear in ctr nitro fuelled, and this awful game crash boom bang, but none of these appearances are canon to the story, and not to mention, it’s unclear if she is in crash twin sanity (due to a small building in the ice slide with tawna painted on it) or in crash mind over mutant (due to that painting in crash’s house), but we could theorise what happened to her, in crash bandicoot 4: it’s about time, we saw tawna (in a different form, and from a different universe) in the pirate levels when we travelled to 1717, she tells us her own backstory, the crash and coco in this tawna’s universe were killed by the alternative female version of N. Tropy, so she took to another dimension, where she met with our main crash and coco, and to make matters more interesting, it seemed there is a planned flash back for tawna, due to the discovery of an unused sound track titled: the unknown tawna verse, maybe the death of said tawna’s crash and coco happened in reverse in the main timeline, maybe tawna (the one our crash saved) died, it is unknown how did this weird tawna lose her crash and coco, maybe they were killed, and she was too late to save them, or they saved her, by sacrificing themselves, but it seems this is too sad for a kid friendly game, so they removed it.
I've got a theory for Cortex's metal N. It may have been tattooed before, but in Crash Bandicoot: Tag Team Racing, he says "just like in Da Nang", I assume he means maybe he was in the Vietnam war. Unlikely, but maybe he plated metal over the N to protect himself??? Idk
Thanks; I really appreciate it! :) You can get a head start by catching up on everything I've ever covered for Crash right here in this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLkq4qy7TsIumUt_bhr-6CMGm8LwYm6G8j.html
- i imagine, Nina is probably the biological niece and Cortex was more of a parent to her (modified her, sent her to school etc.) OR he is the real biological father but it’s not 100% sure, who is the father… wait. Neo Cortex had a brother…? he probably died or something :) - N(itro) Gin is my favorite of the "N"s… he’s ugly, but he’s so silly 😅 he reminds me of myself. i can imagine him being curious about Coco …does she taste like Coconut 🤔

*These malefactors are actually really volatile and horrfying threats (from scientists causing IRL disasters plus sadistically cranking the bolts from a partner by merely being right, replacing the arms of the niece that eliminates the good she had, heroes dying, potential Nazis, etc. etc.)*
*Really love the Lore where under the facade of goofy shenanigans, it really can slap much more unassumingly.*
I don't know how it took me this long to find this video, I didn't know other people were as obsessive as me with regards to Crash Bandicoot lore
N.Gins first name is Nathaniel. He told me so when we went out for drinks
he probably has a simple name like this or Niclas or something i can imagine
but
I refuse to believe it’s not Nitro.
Finally some on the internet who likes to talk about Crash Bandicoot Lore like me.

*That face (profile picture)... I've seen it before...*
But yeah I'm glad in regards to not being the only one.
In fact, I think there's a line from him when you die that goes along the lines of "Hey, are you alright?"
It's a small thing, but I think it's important to note that N. Brio doesn't have murderous INTENT- he's just a bit too loopy to realize that death is the inevitable result of his experiments.
I like how you included that one creepy greyscale edit of the Crash 1 cover where Crash has sunken eyes and a s
Jeff The Killer styled grin.
That used to scare the hell out of me as a kid.
I first saw it in a video where someone reversed and lowered the pitch of Generator Room's music lol!
19:26 I'm sorry but schoolboy N. Gin with a paper plane in his head is adorable
52:07 I've always imagined that Crash & Coco aren't biological siblings, they just call each other that because (for a long time) they've only ever had each other after they escaped (Tawna dumped Crash for Pinstripe).
No thanks.
They’re biological siblings and it should stay that way.
Right? It is heavily implied that you are standing at the top of the third island (Cortex island). Very easy to notice
Hearing that their was an Explanation for tinys change in Crash of the titans really makes me want to see it get a full remake and Expansion treatment
My contributions:
14:22 - Megumi created the Crash Dance
16:33 - N. Gin's first name
25:00 - Yaya's VA
29:53 - Crash killed Willie
For a moment I funnily thought that by "Crash killing Willie", he killed his original counterpart which was also named Willie xD.
15:30 You forget it this part
That layer 8 image scared the shit out of me
That was definitely the intention! xD
rewatching this video after all that stuff with toys for bob happened just now feels like that one blade runner 2049 image
As someone who doesn’t know any of the lore or having played any games in this series, this is interesting
Flashback tapes quote
N Brio get the mop
Wombat skulls shatter like snow globes
N Brio saying he wont have to clean Bandicoot guts on the floor
Another tid bit Coco's General and Through the ringer skin she wears an eye patch on her right eye.
…so that’s what happened to the iguana in the cage in the opening of Crash 1…
Megamix is clearly shown to be seperated again in the ending of the Huge Adventure
It is also used in *Rocket Fuel* as it is very oily and *Explosive*
Also the N in N-Trance stands for Nucleus, the heart of an egg cell.
Thanks so much! I've been a fan since childhood as well; Crash is always such fun to talk about! Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Lovely iceberg video, on one of my favorite game characters. Keep it up, man. Excellent work.
In fact sending her too public evil school seems a wary tame punishment even if Nina is utterly misrable there
The old backstory about willie being a media glutton made its way into the crash 2 ads, you see him put on those personas when he talks about his game
This is an excellent video, Marc. Miharu’s N. Gin name theory is now unchangeable cannon to me
I can't take all the credit for that one. I swear it was something I read online a long time ago. XD
Dayum, Mojo worked so well on Tiny that he straight up became a different animal, that's crazy.
I've recently discovered icebergs and I really enjoy them all. This one especially was really well done. I commend you and everyone else for working hard to contribute to a big project like this. : )
I agree! This is the first iceberg I’ve read and I love learning more more about Crash! Thank you for taking the time to make and share this!
I saw this one iceberg by this youtuber who does wrestling videos i think cant find the video i think he deleted it.anybody know anything?
Thanks, now every time i see cortex, brio, tawna, and pura im gonna think of death, pain, and suffering.
As you should! xD
It's really cool and logical in terms of canonical fit, but I've headcanonned it to be a European name like Nikolai or Nikola since my childhood, so I don't think I'm going to get used to an alternative anytime soon :P Also, there's already Nitrus and Nitrous, adding a Nitro feels weird to me XD
Pffh, I only read the bible a year ago or so, I was quite shocked about Brio's bolts and the messed up relationship.
Oh damn, learning the island names was actually quite a revelation haha! And the whole thing about the castle ruins and the warp rooms left me pretty mindblown. Those are some huge details that click really hard for me!!
And the Von Cluch lore... whaattt hahaha
I hope we get to see more of N.Gin's lore in the future!
@@DestinationMarc I remember hearing that the missile came from an incident in a factory where it went live while N.Gin worked there and lodged itself in his head, probably too deep to remove, so N.Gin quickly jury rigged the missile into a sort of life support machine so that it wouldn’t kill him
I believe there actually was a mutant iguana enemy that was planned to appear in Crash 1, which might be what it’s referring to
While the entry regarding Cortex absence in N.
I always forget that final panel lol; someone else also helped correct this, so thanks for lettin' me know!
@@DestinationMarc No problem. Just wanted to set it straight. Also, i didn't notice the other comment. If i saw it, i wouldn't write such a long comment.
@@dawidksiadz-hp7wd It's all good; the more people remind me the better haha!
4:20 fascinating how all that teasing finally ended up to the Crash Team Rumble release and upon watching this video that game is already dead lol.
It’s heavily implied in the final coco flashback tape that it is not actually coco doing a test, but escaping cortex’s castle.
its crazy watching this as someone who grew up on the original trilogy but never stayed for the rest
im just here like "yeah that fun goofy platformer i played non stop.... so a character makes a holocaust joke????"
Long time Crash fan here! I've been playing Crash since 96 or 97 when I was 6 or 7 years old. I've learned some new facts about the game and it's characters from this video and it was a very interesting video to watch.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! 😁
It would make perfect sense of N.Gin's N was nitro, not only would it be the perfect pun. But Nitro crates got introduced in crash 2 as well as N.Gin
46:57 Holy crap, I remember seeing that image years ago, I don’t remember what video it was though
I know it from a "remix" where someone slowed down and reversed Generator Room; not sure if the uploader also made the image or only used it.
Enjoying the content 👌 I hope that was a teaser for a new Spyro 💜 these two games are OG deserve more love🧡
Awesome video bro!
Thanks man! I probably wouldn't have remembered the old men, and their tattoos at that, 'til you brought them up!
Very cool video! Fun to hear a dive into the world of Crash like this.
Not sure if anyone’s already mentioned this, but according to Tag Team Racing, N. Gin’s first name is actually New Hampshire
I'll genuinely pay someone $5 if they do an Iceberg Video without explaining what an Iceberg Video is.
*EVERYONE* knows what an Iceberg Video is.
Next time then ;P
So to explain it how i think it is
Crash bandicoot normal ending goes to crash bandicoot 2 and its 100% ending leads to crash 3 and the q00% ending is continues to crash bandicoot 4 but the normal end leads to ctr because in wrath of cortex there was a racing trophx in the intro.
I do have a personal set of headcanaons(explications not from the soruce material)that explains how Uka could of been involved in the first two games
1 Cortex already Has the gems at the start of crash 1.
It felt like it could’ve been a really good game but it was really buggy and a lot was cut out
I paused it before any images of the iceberg showed up, but I really hope Crash Purple: Ripto's Rampage is, at highest, just below the surface.
I don't think I made too many references to "Purple;" sorry 'bout that lol!
Very cool video, man!
Thanks, and thank you for contributing; I hope you like how the "Crash 4" skins entry came out!
31:44
He he... you said FOUR SKINS...
This is going to interesting 👏👀
N trophy's lower body looks identical to the clone lab assistants atleast the original ones
This was a really enjoyable iceberg and that cookie run mention caught me off guard dude! I'm guessing ya play a lot of cookie run huh?
Thanks! That was actually just something we discovered while researching lol!
Neither of us play Cookie Run, but I have a friend who does, and I made the voice connection while she was showing me some characters.
Why is the crash lore so deep
This iceberg is perfect 🔥
Megamix falls apart into its constituent beings at the end of Huge Adventure. We see them in an escape pod/piece of the space station.
Thank you for this video!
It was certainly an undertaking; thank you for watchin'! :)
3:22 - it was actually another hidden teaser indeed, for Crash Team Rumble which came out in june 2023 👍
The back to the future reference actually makes more sense when you realize crash used to be owned by universal.
i think the reason the wrath of cortex and crash 4 is the ending of crash warped wrath of cortex could be after the normal ending and crash 4 after the 100% ending because we dont see baby cortex in wrath of cortex but we do see him in crash 4
Ah, awesome video!
Thank you! :)
Nitro Gin feels rather fitting
the mind over mutant iphone thing is even better now that crash has a smartphone in crash 4
I really want a continuation to CMOM
IT'S CASH BANOOCA!
3:44 it’s the logo of the next multiplayer game Crash Team Rumble 🧡 released in June the 20th
21:00 What do you mean "does he have a brother/sister"? You literally showed Cortex's bio earlier in the video that said he has 20 siblings.
The bio is from Cortex's non-canon Willie Wombat-era backstory; at the timestamp I was talking about his actual canon backstory.
Me and my mother somehow allways called N.Gin Naughty Gin xD.
You know your into a massive info dump when you don’t even know about the first entry
I did not know that Mr. Banooca had so much lore
2:56 translation: wanted.
Idk
Ima sub to you in support I hope to see loads more crash bandicoot videos 😁
Thanks; I really appreciate it! :) You can get a head start by catching up on everything I've ever covered for Crash right here in this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLkq4qy7TsIumUt_bhr-6CMGm8LwYm6G8j.html
Me watching this knowing damn well I can't beat the games nor care about the lore
2:56 this is a wanted poster with crash bandicoot in it
But in arabic for no reason
Perhaps the 'N' for N.Trance stands for Notorious?
Can you Discuss about rilla roo we never sees him before crash Bash why naughty dog make a new characters why not just use like n.gin or anyone else
All this talk about alternate dimensions... I just wanna know about the dimension where Twinsanity was finished properly!
Cortex's mom is obviously Momma Robotnik.
- i imagine, Nina is probably the biological niece and Cortex was more of a parent to her (modified her, sent her to school etc.) OR he is the real biological father but it’s not 100% sure, who is the father… wait. Neo Cortex had a brother…? he probably died or something :)
- N(itro) Gin is my favorite of the "N"s… he’s ugly, but he’s so silly 😅 he reminds me of myself. i can imagine him being curious about Coco …does she taste like Coconut 🤔
The game designer side that all crash bandicoot games are canon.
