All of the bandmembers have a lot of musical influences but I don't know them for each person. But one influence they all agree on and that is the backbone of the band so to speak is 80's metal. As for funk and disco? No idea. :P

The Amaranth cover is quite good, there are also a live version where Amarath joins Sabaton on Stage (Amaranth was a warmup for that concert), but start with Amarath before going with the other.

Sometimes Sabaton takes alot of "shit" from now and then from Metalheads who says theý are too "dancey ....Just as the other band you mentioned "Amaranthe" who are even more dancey...but still haaard . Please react to Amaranthe too! I have a feeling you will like it ;-) Normally I dont like covers....but this one is fast and good!
Some Metalheads are too stuck up, dancey melodies mixed with metal makes metal so much better. If it gets too heavy it loses some of its musical charm, at least for me.
