Tank, listen. I want to give you GIANT props, for being honest about yourself. Seriously. The reaction community is thoroughly infested with reaction channels who will say they love absolutely everything they watch, just to please the viewer. What you just did, and what I hope you will keep doing, is to have the balls to state your subjective opinion even if it goes against your numbers. THANK YOU for being yourself. Seriously. Oh and btw, I like the Amaranthe version better. 😀 So There you have it. I am actually glad you dislike (or should I say "aren't keen on") something I like. 😀
I think whats important for reaction channels is expand on the reasons they feel about the song they react to. Tank does this very well, he explains what he likes, why he likes it and the same goes in case he dislikes something. And I think that's how it should be. But there are many reaction channels that just say: "this is bad" and end the video right there without further explanation. And I think a "this is great" is easier to digest for the listener because he feels the same way (usually) than "this is bad". However in both cases I think the reactor should provide additional information WHY he feels the way he does. So props to Tank, you're doing this very well. And I also appreciate the honesty to say that you don't like something.
I really like that you don't hide if you don't necessarily like something, appreciate the authenticity. Big respect my man! When I heard Amaranthe for the first time, I was very conflicted with how I feel about them. I wasn't sure if it's my thing or not, sounded weird. Took me a little bit of time, but I think I just let the thought of them being their own thing sink in, and it worked. I'm very versatile when it comes to the music I like, so they kind of tick the sweet spot between all the music genres that I like. I was conflicted long time ago, now they're one of my favourite bands :)
I'm somewhat conflicted with the band myself, but it's like you said, they hit a sweet spot between all the music we listen to, be it EDM, Classic, Rock, Metal, etc.
i was kinda meh on them myself at first but i think that was because i was introduced to them with drop dead cynical and i think that was probably because that was the weakest album musically imo but after listening to the rest of their albums i was hooked and i honestly feel like manifest is the best they have been
Amaranthe has kind of a sound of their own.... They are hard to label as a specific type of metal.... The mesh styles of metal with pop and electronica in a way that absurdly works...even when it shouldn´t... I can´t think of another band that pulls that mixture of so consistantly as they do...
Oh yeah, at a metal festival I heard from secondary death metal scene something that could go to Eurovision, I immediately went there (I thought that swedes are coming and I was right). And since then I became a fan
Describing Amaranthe as a hit or miss is the most accurate I've ever seen anyone describe them. Some songs are great, some songs are ok, some songs could use a second review and some songs just didn't have what they were going for. They truly are a hit or miss band.
DUDE! so Sabaton led me to your channel, which I really enjoy (some might even say, I am addicted to your channel) and this reaction led me to Amaranthe, which is quickly becoming one of my fav bands \m/ Keep up the good work man!! I'm discovering so many new and awesome bands!! Thanks all the way from South Africa
My personal opinion: Sabaton captures the spirit & grit, & guts of the story. Sabaton takes the stories of heroes *VERY* seriously. 82nd All the Way is a harsh song about the bravery of a single man. You can hear it. That means a shit ton to me being from a military family. (Also my baby cousin is and has been in the 82nd for years. So proud of him!) Amaranthe’s version is fun and catchy, which is fine. It sounds good. I love Amaranthe, but I think as good it sounds from a production standpoint, they don’t get the meat of the story and that comes through. Love this song. I prefer Sabaton. Thanks for the honest and authentic reaction. Amaranthe definitely had a huge multilayered fun sounding, catchy version of the chorus.
@@TankTheTech Marko Hietala (he will be 55 years on 14th January) leaves Nightwish and public life , next update from him will be 2022 , maybe ... He seems to be a bit pissed off about Live Nation and streaming services ... only one that is allowed to contact him is Tony Lommi .
For me, even Sabaton is just a fun, partying kind of band, with no gravity to their songs. This is why I don't dislike Amaranth's version. In fact, it's richer, I like it more.
Click dislike? Why? Because of a difference in taste? I'm sick of reacters being all like "THIS IS AWESOME" to everything that you send them. It's good to see someone who is genuine and has his own personality. Keep it up! \m/
Half the fun in this video is seeing Elize adorable bubble-personality. I love when you can tell the artist just loves to be there. This is also why I absolutly *Love* Emppu from Nightwish, he always has the most extatic but genuin grin on his face and you can tell he's just having a blast. It's become so much of a staple that he's called "the smiling man" 🤣
Amaranthe constructed their version of the song as a tribute to Sabaton, frankly I am glad they chose to play it 'their way.' The more I listen to them the more I like them, 'Manifest' is a wonderful album. That said I am a Sabaton fan first and the song as they deliver it is how I like it best but having Nils, Henrik and Elize on stage during the Great Tour was all kinds of fun. Kind of like the tunes Apocalyptica played on stage with Sabaton during that tour, just a fun evening of music.
This is what I suggested to him in one of his previous reactions. I think he'll like GG6, or Boom!!1 or basically the entirety of The Nexus album. They're far heavier.
To all those who are now shouting: Hey, say something about Marko leaving Nightwish..... We all have to digest this first. As far as I understand it, he will still take part in the livestream. So we will all still hear Endlessness from him. Who and what will come after that....wait.
@@davehedgehog9668 Yes, he definitely did. And maybe he will come back. Only time will tell. Edit: The greatest show on earth will never be the same without him :_(
spotify told me this and noise were the songs i heard the most in 2020...they probablty correct such bangers thanks for reacting to this tank im sure u also heard the not so great news about marko and nightwish...i legit felt emotional today reading it and even with his decision his music will live on
Hey @tankthetech. It´s the growl that gives me shivers down my spine! :) But thank you for being honest in your opinions! That´s true! And that´s what metal is about!
totally my wake up song and the fact Amaranthe is from my home town is awesome and probably because i hvent seen a live show yet but damn Nils has an outstanding livevoice. Keep it rockin Tank
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head here. The chorus is a banging celebration of the man, where as the verse is much more emotional and has more feel about the subtlety of the situation. Amaranthe didn’t quite communicate that emotion but smashed the celebration.
Great stuff Tank!!! Hey man, it's your reaction and your opinion. It shouldn't matter to anyone else! I too noticed (for the first time) that the drummer was a lefty, pretty cool... Keep up the good work man, you are a monster reactor, lots of energy!!!
Yes Hannes is a lefty, in the video Bismark many people reacts when they see Hannes that the video and the music isn’t in sync. It looks like that but that’s because they think he is a righty and expect his hands to be in a other position.. but it is in sync. :)
Amaranthe is so unique. Personally i prefer sabatons version overall but that amaranthe chorus is fire so i listen to them both about 50/50 . For further Amaranthe - Archangel, Boom!1 and Do or Die are all good and also pretty different styles.
I love both bands, but I think Sabaton's style of "storytelling" songs work better being delivered by a single vocalist. Splitting it up among three people with dramatically different vocal styles kind of disrupts the "flow" of the story.
Fun fact: Although Pär plays a 4-string bass, he plays it like a 5-string just without the G-string so it's tuned B E A D or A D G C when they play live as they tune down one step from E to D when playing live.
Amaranthe is a band that while I personally love to listen to, they aren't the band I go to to blow my mind. They don't do much that's really unique in a way that hasn't been done before, but they are definitely masters of the sound they produce. What they absolutely do at a top tier level is produce high quality music videos. The songs you listened to previously I wasn't a big fan of myself, but I feel like you could really enjoy some of their older stuff like either The Nexus, Mechanical Illusion, or Hunger. Side note: considering the songs I chose, I'm probably just a sucker for well placed triplets
I’m glad you’re honest about your opinion. I love the Amaranthe studio version, but to each his own. Honestly I’ve yet to hear an Amaranthe live performance that met my expectations, so I wonder if they are more a studio creation. Keep listening, you’ll have that moment.
The chorus is the best part IMO as well, it just kicks ass, its so powerful and it gave me goose bumps first time listening to it! From both versions actually, I'm glad you did the double reaction too, woot!! :D :D
i really like Amarathe's studio version of this song. i dont know why but sabaton's studio version just doesnt hit the spot for me. however, Sabaton's live version and recordings just capature exactly what the song is and should be. it captures the grit and rawness. Amarathe is brillant for getting the party going, getting through a long shift at work. but when i need to rock out. head bang, i always shoot for the live version of the original
Not surprised at all that you liked the Sabaton version better overall, seems more your style, but more importantly the Sabaton style fits the subject matter of the song and lyrics better. I LOVED the chance to get to hear about the studio gear breakdown, though, and the things that tend to differ
Also, Amaranthe grew on me slowly too. I like them a lot now, but I totally get how you feel. For me it just took a while to get used to their unique style. I think the first one I really liked was 1.000.000 lightyears
At first I did not like them too much but as I continued listening to them I started loving them. Never were to fond of the growling but it did grow on me.
First off, big props for keeping it real and being entirely honest about how you feel rather than trying to pander to groups of fans, i really do appreciate that. Second, i wholeheartedly agree with your opinions and comparisons. There really is something about the original that just isn't properly captured in the cover in my opinion. That being said, to be fair i am biased as i'm a longtime sabaton fan and not much of a fan of Amaranthe. But yeah, Joakim's voice and the power in it just works way better IMO. I'll also agree to your sentiment at the end where you calrify that this isn't about the amount of heaviness or whatever, it just doesn't quite gel with me.
When I saw this in my recommended, I clicked so fast. lol I personally enjoy both versions of the song. Idk, it's the catchiness I like a lot in Amaranthe's version of this
Tank, you’re at the stage I was at when I first came across Amaranthe, exactly what you said, I wasn’t instantly grabbed but I loved certain elements and yet I was hooked in enough by their uniqueness with having 3 singers with different styles and with the blend of metal and dance beats and electronics. And now I’d list them amongst my fave bands, there’s an energy they have which is fused into the music, most of their stuff is so upbeat and catchy and great for working out to. Makes you feel good and feel like getting up and doing something. Yet as you point out, some parts of their songs are heavy as f**k! I recommend the following tracks :- The Nexus Hunger GG6 Boom! Maximize Helix 🙂🤘🏻
I appreciate your love of Sabaton and Nightwish even more due to this. Its great when a reactor is not afraid to tell that not everything resonates equally.
Hearing you talk about logistics of bringing another person with an instrument on stage made me remember something about Sabaton. I don't know of any specific videos but in 2019 they did a show at Wacken where it was the bands 20th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of Wacken and they played BOTH main stages at the same time, bringing back all their old members to play their set with them. Would definitely love to hear the tech side of a show done like that for the first time. Love the reactions though, keep it up.
I've never heard them before and that sounds like all of my favorite metal genres in one. 😳😳WOAH! Hearing them sing with Chris, Pär, and Tommy… it works very well Edit: Joakim surprised us
Great reaction. Really digging the honesty. We have all been there, when you hear something at first that you are not sure about, but you are interested to hear more. I was the same with this band. I listened to one of their albums from start to finish. At first I was like “Ok...”, by the end I was like “Hell Yeah!” So take your time. See what happens.
Hey Tank! I keep 3 channels at the end of my input list that I call my "oh by the way" channels. I usually get a clear com call saying hey guess what near the end of the show. An Engl story. In 89 I was touring with Victory from Germany. We were all Engl. We were doing 40 shows with Gary Moore across Europe and Scandinavia. We just got a bunch of new heads in and I was unboxing them and I hear "fucking hell, new Engls " . It was Gary. He asked if he could try one. I hooked him up and I got to sit next to him for half hour while he wailed away. Definitely one of my favorite tour memories.
So re: your comments on guest instrumental folk on stage during the headliner: they brought all of Apocalyptica (incl. The drummer) out to perform for fields of verdun. It added a fantastic depth to the sound and I think really made it amazing. Love to see your reaction to it.
I have to agree with you on this one. It's not that the Amaranths cover is bad or that they can't perform.. they are really good musicians and I do like some of their work.. it's just that Sabaton brings that something extra to make the song really shine. Anyway another great video on your side. Can't wait for the next one
You've described my experience with Amaranthe in this video too. I bounced off of their songs a few times before something really stuck. They have a unique sound that you really don't find anywhere else; three vocalists, with both cleans and growls, some pop, some rock, some metal, some heavy crunch. They go all over the place, which for me, means that I find some songs I really love and others I don't care for. On the bright side, you never get bored with checking them out, because it is so different and they can play with so much variety. I definitely enjoy Amaranthe's cover of 82nd All The Way, and I LOVE Elize Ryd's voice generally, but I feel that Joaquim's voice tells this story more naturally, which I think is what you were getting at as well.
If you want another Sabaton song with two versions, look up "Angels Calling". They recorded another version of that song with Apocalyptica. Man, I had tickets for the Great Tour when they came to Stuttgart, but I couldn't go because my daughter got sick the day before and it didn't feel right to leave her at home when I promissed her to take her to that show.
Seeing Amaranthe and Sabaton live on Great tour in Wien was my last live concert before this cough pandemic started. Nice memory. Go away cough! It was a bit harder for technician, because they had to plug in apocalyptica instruments for 6 songs :D
Honestly one of my favorite things about this video, is that it shows how big of a goofball Elise is. And I’m in love with the chorus because you hear all the singers together and it just sounds sooo good
My Feelings on it are pretty simple: Sabaton has the Darker-sounding more historic version Amaranthe's Cover is a more up-tempo version that really catches the chorus of it, but loses some of the "Tone" the original has The live performance, is probably one of my favorites, it's awesome to see them singing it alongside the original band, and then closing out the end of it with Joakim Joining them and adding his voice to it. It's bloody epic. And yeah, Amaranthe themselves are just...Unique, it's an interesting Trio of vocalists and they really aren't afraid to swap styles from song to song (Compare Archangel, 365, and GG6 for instance, and that's not even getting into the older stuff they've done) They satisfy that "Metal" feeling at the same time as the "Pop" feeling, makes their music a regular part of my background listening.
It was about the 4th time I saw Raising Arizona before I started laughing hysterically. I am in the same spot as you wrt Amaranthe. Sometimes I enjoy, most times I can leave it. Not sure if I get to that Raising Arizona spot with them.
I understand your struggle. At first i think many Amaranthe "fans" weren't sure if they love their sound or hate it cause its unique in a way. But for me i kept listening to more and more of them and with evey song of them i like them more my favourite songs are "Helix" , "GG6" and "Archangel". the other project of Nils Molin (clean singer) Dynazty has great songs like "Presence of mind" , "Heartless Madness" or "The Grey" too
Jacob hansen is a legend. He has some bizarre techniques that seem weird (like using a graphics tablet instead of a mouse), but the man is an angel, and his work is beyond amazing.
There will always be people that dont accept the fact that not everyone loves something the way they do. That said, you've but scratched the surface when it comes to Amaranthe though. Meaning there's still 'hope' =) You've yet to 'react' to my favorite Amaranthe song, so yay lol
I have a feeling they made the cover and video very quickly since they were the opening act for Sabaton and this was released in conjunction with that tour. Joakim Brodén also recorded a song with the other opening band, Apocalyptica. I guess it's something they do for fun when they travel together :-)
Maybe check out Attack of the Dead Men in Moscow, they where joined by Radio Tapoki (I can never remember the last part of his name). He joins the band singing in Russian. And, you probably already knew this, but he released his cover of the song before Sabaton officially released theirs.
Yeah that was funny by Sabaton that the cover was released before original :-) I dont like that much his covers, but the live AotDM in Moscow was good.
Tank, you're awesome. Opinions vary and I watch your reactions for YOUR REACTIONS and not what is 'expected' as a reaction. Just keep on being yourself. The world takes all kinds, THANK GOD we are not all from the same cookie-cutter! :)
They played it with Sabaton in Oslo and holy shit it was super fucking good! 4 different vocal styles all in one and it sounds super good. I absolutely love Amaranthe and this cover was one of the best I’ve ever heard
At 16:37 one of the Amaranthe vocalists misses his cue to leave that front podium, in order to get away from a flame effect. You can tell, because all the others leave, and the stage goes pitch dark for a second. Fortunately, these effects seem to be manually controlled (safety?), while the lights are programmed.
As someone who has a spotify playlist with just the two versions of 82nd all the way on it, I think I can say that I love both versions. Amaranthe's version a tiny bit more, but it's like if Amaranthe is 95/100 then Sabaton is 94/100. I agree with those comments saying that Sabaton's version has a much closer connection between the lyrics and the music. But, great reaction as always!
This reaction was really interesting to watch, as I kind of struggled with what to think of Amaranthe. First of all I do not like their version of this song. Joakim's voice and the original version has a depth and a nerve that I find no trace of in Amaranthe's version. To me - a bit difficult to pin point - but it's like Amaranthe made this cover, thinking "Ok, let's make a cool version of this song", but the result comes out as mainstream in my ears. I hadn't seen this studio version before and what a loop hole! They used the same footage and film sequences over and over again! Something you can put up with from a small hobby band doing their own recording, but not from a band of this size. I have more or less dived into listening to Amaranthe, I really really gave it an open-ear-and-heart chance and it ended up in that there are some great songs, f.e. Archangel, Fearless and Breakthrough Starshot, but in the whole, doesn't work for me, not even in the top 50 bands in my list. Even their best songs, I like them when listening to them, but the songs don't "stay with me", if that makes any sense.
365 was the song that first made me really love Amaranthe. Speaking of, gonna go listen to that/sing along with it. Practicing for an online collab with some friends tonight.
You gave them a fair chance and I respect that, you might like the original song better than the cover and that's completely fine, we all have different taste in music and that's what makes these kind of reactions worth watching
What a great show that was.. i cried so hard when they played the most underated sabaton song, saboteurs. And that was the first time i heard about Amaranthe :)
Speanking of the great tour! You really should give "Angels Calling" A listen - There they did bring out instruments to the stage! There's also their song "Live or Die" which is also worth a listen, if you don't know it yet :D Also amazing Video Tank, was great fun to watch!
It's not really a competition between the bands, of course. It's a fun celebration between them. The strange part is two Swedish bands bonding over a song about an American hero...
I definitely understand yoiur feelings with Amaranthe. I was the same way at first. They were a band I was like "eh, they're a niche style, something fun every once in awhile" and then one day it really did just click for me and they're now one of my favorites. Don't know if there was any song in particular that did it to me though.
I never used to like Amaranthe either but that has changed and I love them now. Not sure what the turning point was exactly, but it could have been after seeing them live as they put on a great show even as support and not headlining.
Love your reaction to this. Honest opinion which I appreciate very much. I feel the same way about this cover. I like the Amaranthe version well enough, but the original sound just fits better for me. I did like the chorus with both Amaranthe and Joakim together, I must say. Kudos for stating your thoughts and standing behind them. 👏
I love Tank Facts. Always hit pause to read them. They remind me of VH1’s Pop Up videos from years ago. Ps - I jammed with a left-handed drummer once and it was sooo weird. Seeing the rolls going in the opposite direction didn’t compute with my brain.
I think you would enjoy a Song from Amaranthe that‘s not really „normal“ for their Style. The song‘s called „Boom“ and it really brings their harsh vocals in the foreground. I feel like you could become a fan of the song and their over all music through something a little havier than the Songs you‘ve already been listening to.
Totally get your standpoint in liking the sabaton! It's opposite for me personally and it is hard to set theese up against eachother since both at awesome at what they do. I was there in oslo that day and it was my last concert before covid hit, and it was an AMAZING eveneing and they doing this together was a the most epic part. Thanks for beeing genuine and honest, that is what makes your reactions worth to watch.
I'm left-handed, and I've been drumming for 12+ years, and I almost exclusively play right-handed because that's just how I learned. I don't think I've heard anyone ever notice in a live song if someone was left-handed and I'm a nerd so I always get excited when someone is. Also, I really appreciate your honest reaction! I LOVE a lot of their songs, but some are just... kinda generic rock songs to me. Elize is a great singer in general, even in covers and other artist's songs she appears on.
For sure he should. Don't know that song by them yet. Only one I know so far is Paradise of the Architect, and at first I didn't even make the connection that it was the same singer lol. Totally blew my mind when I realized.
I only discovered Dynazty after Nils had joined Amaranthe. And even though I was sad when Jake left, it wasn't very hard for me to like Nils as well, I love both albums they've made with him. Jake's new band Cyhra is also great, so now I have three amazing bands to listen to ❤️
what i need a mash of the 2 bands playing this song, joakim on vocals during the verses, and both amaranthe and sabaton going ham during the chorus, theres something for me about the combination of amaranthes drums and the electronic beats that give it a little bit of a heavier sound to where i prefer their backing sound.
That chorus was EPIC! I wish the rest of the song was that good. Sabaton should let Tommy sing to give Joakim a vocal break. Tommy is a terrific singer.
Tank, I get it, the best way I can descripe it is, the first song I ever heard from Nightwish was Ghost love Score, and I loved it. Then I heard the Tarja version, I was very disappointed, I was waiting for ending and never got the finish Floor gave me so, I know exactly what you're talking about!! Keep up the great work!!!!!!
Nice reaction. I don’t disagree with you but I have got to really appreciate Amaranthe too. BTW there’s a point just before the end of the live version where the technician had to pull the pyro because GG6 didn’t get out of the way. You were headbanging...
I probably wouldn’t have known it either since I’ve never seen the performance before, but after seeing it again, I noticed the blackout for the pyro. That’s a pro Pyrotechnician right there!
So gald you've Done this version, you're perfectly entitled to think the original is better. I love the amaranthe version probably as much. Also metal elitists can suck it, like or dislike whatever you want. Having said about getting guests on stage and dealing with setting up the extra channels and such, I'm now wondering how the big 4 jam when they came out to do 'am I evil?' worked!? You may need to do a live vid to break down that set up. Keep up the awesome stuff 🤘
16:40 this live song pops up in my general music from time to time, and every single damn time it hear the missing hits from the drums at 16:40. Once you know, you can't not hear that "he didn't do it".
Amaranthe got even BETTER with the addition of Nils Molin from DYNAZTY. He is one of the most powerful male vocalists I've EVER heard over the last 30 years.

Dance Trance or EDM core metal pop.
Think Abba meets Delain meets Armin Van Buren...

They used to be synth-pop metal with a deathbed, but now they lost their Growler so I would stay they were pop metal with male and female dual front
Europop Metal

Some songs are great, some songs are ok, some songs could use a second review and some songs just didn't have what they were going for.

I love when you can tell the artist just loves to be there.
This is also why I absolutly *Love* Emppu from Nightwish, he always has the most extatic but genuin grin on his face and you can tell he's just having a blast.
It's become so much of a staple that he's called "the smiling man" 🤣
Elize is absolutely adorable throughout the entirety of this music video, love watching it every time.
Its really cool that you keep giving them their chance and since you said there will be more try BOOM!
Freaking loving this channel dude. Nothing like getting pumped up with someone over Sabaton to start the day off right.
Amaranthe has a huge range that they cover. Maybe you'd take more to GG6 and/or Boom!1? Either way, great reactions man
This is what I suggested to him in one of his previous reactions. I think he'll like GG6, or Boom!!1 or basically the entirety of The Nexus album. They're far heavier.
@@ChuuniKaede Tank should do Helix, GG6 and 365 as a triple header....!
btw, this live video is dope... a pro-shot from stage into the crowd is awesome! this cameraman mustve enjoyed it a lot =D ♥
To all those who are now shouting: Hey, say something about Marko leaving Nightwish.....
We all have to digest this first. As far as I understand it, he will still take part in the livestream. So we will all still hear Endlessness from him. Who and what will come after that....wait.
Wait, whaaattt!?!?

@@eves1503 I feel with you bro :(
Sad news, but I really wish him much happiness. He's put a good shift in.
@@davehedgehog9668 Yes, he definitely did. And maybe he will come back. Only time will tell.
Edit: The greatest show on earth will never be the same without him :_(
spotify told me this and noise were the songs i heard the most in 2020...they probablty correct such bangers thanks for reacting to this tank
im sure u also heard the not so great news about marko and nightwish...i legit felt emotional today reading it and even with his decision his music will live on
Thank you for being honest, Tank.
That's why we love you
Hey @tankthetech.
Thanks for keeping it real and not taking the easy road in "faking it" ... Keep It Up
I agree. The ultimate: Sabaton doing the verses, Amaranthe doing the chorus!
Amaranthe's style grows on you. I was in the same boat where I wasnt sure about them, but now my playlist is full of their songs.
Lot's of bassists do that on 4-strings. I did the same thing when I was in my band because we were on drop-C. 🤘
I was at that show, one of the best concerts I've been to in years.
i really like Amarathe's studio version of this song. i dont know why but sabaton's studio version just doesnt hit the spot for me. however, Sabaton's live version and recordings just capature exactly what the song is and should be. it captures the grit and rawness.
Amarathe is brillant for getting the party going, getting through a long shift at work. but when i need to rock out. head bang, i always shoot for the live version of the original
Theres an organic energy when it comes to live performances that studio recordings don't often capture.
Live from Oslo when Amarante vocalist on stage with Sabaton is amazing
When I saw this in my recommended, I clicked so fast. lol
I personally enjoy both versions of the song.
I recommend the following tracks :-
The Nexus
Hunger
GG6
Boom!
Maximize
Helix 🙂🤘🏻
That’s a little different, since they had time in advance to prepare and made sure they had all the appropriate stuff for that one specific show.
I've never heard them before and that sounds like all of my favorite metal genres in one. 😳😳WOAH! Hearing them sing with Chris, Pär, and Tommy… it works very well
Edit: Joakim surprised us
Great reaction.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Awsome reaction 👍👍Next Swedish metal band to discover, Brothers of metal....
And I’m in love with the chorus because you hear all the singers together and it just sounds sooo good
My Feelings on it are pretty simple:
Sabaton has the Darker-sounding more historic version
Amaranthe's Cover is a more up-tempo version that really catches the chorus of it, but loses some of the "Tone" the original has
The live performance, is probably one of my favorites, it's awesome to see them singing it alongside the original band, and then closing out the end of it with Joakim Joining them and adding his voice to it. It's bloody epic.
And yeah, Amaranthe themselves are just...Unique, it's an interesting Trio of vocalists and they really aren't afraid to swap styles from song to song (Compare Archangel, 365, and GG6 for instance, and that's not even getting into the older stuff they've done)
They satisfy that "Metal" feeling at the same time as the "Pop" feeling, makes their music a regular part of my background listening.
It was about the 4th time I saw Raising Arizona before I started laughing hysterically. I am in the same spot as you wrt Amaranthe. Sometimes I enjoy, most times I can leave it. Not sure if I get to that Raising Arizona spot with them.
Its all good everyone has different tastes , no dislike here. Keep doing what you do
I understand your struggle. At first i think many Amaranthe "fans" weren't sure if they love their sound or hate it cause its unique in a way. But for me i kept listening to more and more of them and with evey song of them i like them more my favourite songs are "Helix" , "GG6" and "Archangel". the other project of Nils Molin (clean singer) Dynazty has great songs like "Presence of mind" , "Heartless Madness" or "The Grey" too
It was awsome being there listening them sing togheter on the stage, first concert i been on and it was the best i could wish for
Jacob hansen is a legend.
Radio Tapok - meaning radio slipper (one slipper) in Russian
@@eves1503 thank you! I couldn’t remember if there was an I or not in Tapok :)
Original, tapok and live please
Yeah that was funny by Sabaton that the cover was released before original :-)
I dont like that much his covers, but the live AotDM in Moscow was good.
@@MyYTwatcher I loved the music video he did for AotDM :) but yeah I love watching that show because how the crowd LOSES it haha.
Band maid released a new song and MV 2 hours ago . Good reaction
Tank, you're awesome. Opinions vary and I watch your reactions for YOUR REACTIONS and not what is 'expected' as a reaction. Just keep on being yourself. The world takes all kinds, THANK GOD we are not all from the same cookie-cutter! :)
Thanks man!
@@TankTheTech :)
They played it with Sabaton in Oslo and holy shit it was super fucking good! 4 different vocal styles all in one and it sounds super good. I absolutely love Amaranthe and this cover was one of the best I’ve ever heard
In this tour they have a couple songs they did with Apocalyptica live. Fields of Verdun, Lejonet från Norden, Carolus rex for example.
Fun Fact - the girl You can spot in MV (the one with glasses, not Elize) is wife of guitarist and flute player for Haggard - Catalina Popa :)
I would recommend listening to Drop Dead Cynical by Amaranthe, it’s their best original song in my opinion
100%. Hunger and The Nexus are up there too.
Gotta vote The Nexus for my fave Amaranthe song. But Drop Dead Cynical also a winner
What a great show that was.. i cried so hard when they played the most underated sabaton song, saboteurs. And that was the first time i heard about Amaranthe :)
Speanking of the great tour! You really should give "Angels Calling" A listen - There they did bring out instruments to the stage!
There's also their song "Live or Die" which is also worth a listen, if you don't know it yet :D
Also amazing Video Tank, was great fun to watch!
Is it saturday already? 🤪 Great reaction as always 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thanx Tank!
I see what you mean, feel the same about this cover.
Good reaction 👍👍
I was there in Oslo, man that was a great show.
As a swede i love when you are talking about our Swedish bands.
No need to apologize, we are all different, entitled to our different opinions and tastes!
You should check out the project of the male clean singer. Dynazty - Presence of mind.
Jake's new band Cyhra is also great, so now I have three amazing bands to listen to ❤️
Absolutely right! Especially the last three albums were just killer! My suggestion: The Human Paradox!
what i need a mash of the 2 bands playing this song, joakim on vocals during the verses, and both amaranthe and sabaton going ham during the chorus, theres something for me about the combination of amaranthes drums and the electronic beats that give it a little bit of a heavier sound to where i prefer their backing sound.
I was at The Great Tour Helsinki show. Amaranthe's mix as a bit off but was a great night.
I kinda agree - I enjoy the original verses more but I like this chorus more. It feels tighter somehow.
Cool to see and hear your opinion on it!
The BEST example of Nils Molin belting it all out is the song Waterfalls from their latest album. Check it out, you will NOT be disappointed.
@@TankTheTech Almost a barbequed GG6 ;)
@@TankTheTech another downside of guests on set I guess...
Where the fuck this lie comes from? You can clearly see that the song had NO pyro at all. Almost no new song had any. Use your eyes ffs.
I like the Amaranthe song that Dragonforce writed. And now, for some strange reason i want to listen again the Future of Warfare Lego version.
Keep up the awesome stuff 🤘
i loved this live ^^ i was there in oslo ^_^ it was soo cool to see this live :3
There is indeed one who I think is even better there on the same stage, but he only plays the guitar here…
To me it feels like Sabaton tells the story as serious as it is, where Amarathe celebrates it
