Quite honestly one of my favourite pieces of engineering, it's well beyond a car at this stage. Andy was explaining the brake issue they'd been facing on the car at Brands Hatch, as I understood it the bearing was shifting under high G force, which in turn moved the brake rotor and pushed the brake pads back (with the pistons) into the brake callipers. Then, when braking, you had to essentially push the brake pistons and pads right back out to the surface of the disc. That's the kind of thing you just don't hear of 99% of the time as not a lot of people really need to even consider such things. Great people behind that, great bit of kit too.
Such a cool car holy shit What I don't understand though, why a twin-turbo V8? You could have all the power your rear-wheels could ever cope with from such a lighter package?
rwd slow, no traction. This has decent power, 4wd and total engine reliability as it's under little strain. His previous K-turbo car was also fast, 2wd...but a lot slower than this
Amazes me that a twin-charged v8 can even fit in that bay... Plus ingenious intercooler placement. Quite the machine indeed. =]
Unbelievable to witness in person - wish there was some more racing that day if weather allowed

A shame that, being a native i know that's most days for Scotland. =]
So much faith in those pop rivets
because they work, unlike your expectations.
Stunning build.
How cool is that!

That’s amazing to hear of - seriously clever guy
Batman on a budget what a thing!

This thing is absolutely bonkers to watch. It might as well be a jet fighter
It’s AWD??? How the hell he managed to do that??? Wouu!!
Yes AWD 🔥
Andy dabbled around with AWD for years bud
He knows his way around drivetrains and tuning as a whole
A real gem in the UK.
Samsonas box, Skyline R33/34 type transfer box and Ford F/R diffs. Ultimately the diffs are probably the limiting factor.
It's road legal?!
Unsure 🥴
Yes it's road legal here in the UK
@@adriankeys6245 that is wild 😂 what a car!
Fully road legal...
