As a Grandma that plays golf with a mid 20 handicap I agree. 1 shot per hole is adequate and fair. Especially in a 3 vs 1 scramble.
It was a grind but the lads did well

It’s funny, after a winter of watching nothing but PGA Tour and yourself and Rick, I’m used to a certain standard of golf and convinced myself it relatively easy. Watching these guys reminds me where my game *actually* is 😂

Guess 2 shots/hole was a bit generous, normally in a scramble would be like 0.25,0.2 and 0.15 from lowest to highest hcp or similar. Peter could hardly have played any better… there was no contest! But great entertainment! Well done!
Match play, 2 shots a hole with a 3 ball scramble is asking for a whooping, even Tiger would struggle with that! 😜🤣 I played Match Play against a high handicap 2 ball scramble and gave them 1 shot per hole and took it down to the 18th and lost on the last hole.

Pete, I LOVE the banana bag! This was a nice watch, goes to show how a group of us hacks would do playing against a scratch golfer. 2 shots was quite generous but that's what makes it even more interesting.
A scramble team of 3 should play of 1/6 of their combined handicap, so maybe around 12 or 13 for this gang.
Should have realised fore bros were there when I saw three horses in the belfry stables.

There's a great online Texas Scramble which works out shots based on numbers of players and handicaps. If Pete had used this he would have realised they got no more than a shot a hole, if that.

I respect the fact that you are trying to progress the game Pete and I have followed you for years. I'm in the RAF Regt and would love to challenge you to a match. Not that you would ever consider it but I think it could be great content and money to a forces charity possibly. I know I will not get a response but worth a chilli dip over a bunker.
