- This kit comes to us from MPC/ROUND 2 and is their 22" version. The kit features the Science Lab pod and I will be adding the after market aluminum turned engine bells as well as paint masks from AZTEK DUMMY - all these items are available from culttvman's online store.
watched the series back in the day, great sound track. Loved the eagles. Great build. Best wishes from the UK
I have this kit on order, Thank you for sharing
I always enjoy the enthusiasm and happiness of your videos. It’s fun to watch someone having fun building.
Hi Phil,
If you haven't built Eagle 1 yet, you'll need to replace the springs in the 4 landing gear as they are too stiff and it doesn't sit right.
I cant wait to see what you do with this kit. I have the Eagle 1 about half way built. I bought the PE brass set for it and am in the middle of getting those parts fitted.
It’s going to look sharp with all the PE details!👍
Its starting to look amazing. I did the whole set of mods to the mounts that the capsule connects to as well as the hatchway to the main cargo area. It was a bit of a bear to do but I am satisfied that I did it justice. I am a novice at P.E. but I am catching on fairly quickly.
This looks a great kit Phil; any Gerry Anderson model brings back memories of the 60’s & 70’s … his film studio was not too far away (on Slough Trading Estate) from where I grew up in Buckinghamshire…
Love that! Cheers! Phil.
You forgot to buy the Spine Booster kit that goes with this Eagle. It's sold separately by MPC/R2 and makes Eagle 2 the version from the Series Two premiere episode "The Metamorph."
They released a new aluminum accessory set for Eagle 2 with extra VTOL engines for the Lab Pod and two more main engine bells for the Spine Booster.
I actually have that kit in my stash and talk about adding it in the next update! Appreciate the heads up though! Cheers! Phil.
@@sprueVerse You live in SoCal? Did you hear Kit Kraft in Studio City is closing? Been around forr something like 70 years.
Yes. Mike the owner was a good friend. He took over the business from his father. They owned the building and that was worth a fortune so that sadly is that! Our best hobby shop by far is Burbank house of hobbies. Awesome selection of kits and paint!
@@sprueVerse Glen's shop is great. I usually patronize Smith Brothers in Northridge; I worked there for two years, 1996-98. In a pinch, I'll run over to Scale Model Stuff on Canoga AV. But Kit Kraft was the first hobby shop I visited when I came to L.A. I became good friends with Tom Gilliland and Randy Vandal. (Randy's passing hit me hard.)
@@dalethelander3781 you are a local!!! Yeah, sad loss for Kit Kraft and the community!
I just bought the Eagle 1 kit and can't wait to start building it! Thanks for sharing Phil. I may just have to pick this one up as well!
Great video as always Phil! Really enjoying these Eagle 2 videos as I especially had to get this kit due to loving this bulkier version of the Eagle. Looking forward to seeing how you tackle this beauty!
Glad you’re along for the ride! Cheers! Phil.
You're off to a great start with the kit and I think the insignia white with the washes added will look fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the next part of the build.
Thanks Jeff, I actually have a question for you. I will email you. Hope all is well!
Oh blimey that brings back memories :) Hope you're well Phil.
All good Ian. Hope you and the family are good. Cheers! Phil
I love the 22" eagle kits. Are you adding a pod interior? Which you can purchase separately.
Not this time. Wanted to keep this build simple.
A fine start...so where in UK were your humble beginnings born?
I’m an Essex boy from Southend. We actually lived in Chalkwell - I was born at Rochford Hospital! 😎
@@sprueVerse blimey, I was in Southend on Sea 'now a City' last weekend for couple of days of R&R
So the only difference from eagle one is it has the pods and different figures?
