The classes aren't defined very well because Re-Logic decided that a sword which shoots a beam that does all the actual damage is OK for melee, using ammo is good enough for ranged, and using mana is good enough for magic, and then slapped summoner on top without thinking. As for bees though, those are just homing projectiles.

The grass sword is made from poison from a big ass hornet
A vine from a big ass plant that eats people
And the esence of the fking jungle
So it should be better than the sword plus it has poison and hits faster due to how light it is
And the ranged weapons needs bullets to shoot so a lazer bullet is just weird or if it did make a bullet
It would be very expensive
And the bee gun is the same but i could see it as a ranged if it uses hives as ammo
