Ok, a lot of things to say: 1. The command staff or staff rather was really cool 2. Bringing back the lucky blocks was genius 3. Each block having a unique function when in the staff was insanely creative 4. Sometimes I love and hate the fight scenes (mostly love) because the choreography is so good but so much cool stuff is happening that when I focus on one cool thing , theres another 4 cool things I miss 4. 10:51 12:33 happy ghast 5. R.I.P Beeper, we'll never forget you, you were a real hero
I know Alan said Red is a troublemaker, but this is a step taken to EXTREME levels. Definitely deserves a timeout for fulfilling his curiosity. RIP Beeper. You will be missed. o7
The fact that Blue has consistently been hit by the tree when growing the jungle saplings is without a doubt one of the most hilarious facts about the Animation Vs. series I have come across
I love the insane continuity and attention to detail in these animations, like you can see the monster school trophy red was given, the cook book, and a bunch of other throwbacks in the house, really shows how much effort and passion was put into this. This is so incredible guys!
I’ve analysed something really interesting about the entity. I’ve seen people point out that, King Orange probably could have easily won instantly with all the abilities he had at his disposal. Were it not for the sole factor of hubris, he could’ve easily just encased everyone in bedrock, as well as shielding himself with it, never even having to worry about Purple’s sucker punch, and easily winning before Herobrine ever showed up. But the fact is, he was still a living person with emotions and all the fallacies that come with that, never just maximising efficiency only, and took way longer to rip the world apart as a result. But this entity isn’t like that. It’s nothing but an emotionless intelligence that, like a chess programme, will always make the most optimal move. It DOES go for maximum efficiency only, it’s only weakness being what resources it does and doesn’t have, and doesn’t hesitate to go for whatever it’s strongest move is, ie. bedrocking them all over. That’s why it came even closer to finishing the gang off and far quicker than Orange did, and only lost from Red’s perfect timing in movement and just managing to outstrategise it, as well as its aforementioned weakness of what tools it doesn’t have, like an exploding bee, something that shouldn’t even exist, so it could never account for it. Just incredibly clever, even though I guess there’s a chance it wasn’t even intentional and just completely coincidental. …also, more importantly OMYGAD IS THAT A GETTING OVER IT REFERENCE???🤯😱🤯😱🤯😱
This is what happens when talent meets discipline. Alan could have just dropped 1 animation and leave for a long time or forever, but he is regular, drops animations frequently and is always creative. First time I've encountered your channel was 10 years ago and you still upload videos, fulfilling everyone expectations. You deserve every sub, like and view you have.
There's a difference between using the most powerful item with the staff, and using the most chaotic. And this animation just shows why. Great job as usual Alan!
@@BisexualPlagueDoctorI think red just didn't know how to use the command block so he just wanted to 'imagine' things into existence without thinking too hard.
I think I have a new favorite episode. Seeing all the different powers you could imbue the staff with made me feel like a kid again, all giddy with the thrill of a wild imagination and the brand-new ideas floating around in my head. Every time I think Alan would take a straight-forward and basic approach to a scene, he completely shatters my expectations. Heck, even the scene four minutes in where Red’s fiddling with the new staff for the first time is full of movement and action and flourishes that just make it a joy to watch over and over again. The fights are so satisfying to watch, too. I find myself rewinding scenes again and again just to see the choreography from each character’s perspective - the scenes where Blue is swinging The Second Coming around with the piston staff and they’re both bouncing off the walls make me want to pick up a notebook and doodle like I’m in school again. Seriously, the work that goes into this series never gets any less breathtaking, and I’m glad I get to witness this kind of unbridled creativity again and again and again. My sincerest thanks to everyone who had a hand in bringing this animation to life.
It's genuinely fascinating how these fight sequences are animated. I know they've been a part of Alan's animations for a long time, but they still are so complex that I can't wrap my mind around them. I really underappreciated them for a while, and they should be noted out a lot too, if they aren't already. The team must have cracked down hard on them.
I made your likes on this comment a solid two hundred bro you deserve it. I've watched these animations since the second coming's introduction, and they have always made my day a lot better. He's one of my favorite UA-camrs and he deserves recognition. It's people like us that pour our hearts out in the comments that are the real fans. I salute you. I'll ask Alan to give you a Beeper plush too.
Alan Becker and his team make the kind of fight scenes I need to rewatch several times because there's just so much cool stuff going on in them, it really feels like nobody in the scene is being "wasted"
10:15 Pigrinn "the malevolent outcast of Pilvolia" 10:37 Brutious "The Iron brute" 11:42 Tardof "The Resurrected" (Miniboss) 12:02 Lord Hunnivus the IVTH "King of the Honey realm" 12:41 Shulkro "The cursed box, wielder of the 3rd flame staff" (Miniboss) 12:55 Archiexox "Prince of Lightnivous kingdom from the silver sea" 13:09 Diogenes "The cursed villager" (Miniboss) 13:27 Polarius "The mutated polar bear from the northern arctic continent" 13:41 Cowlvus the 2nd "The banished prince from the Kingdom of Cowlion" 13:58 Aboation "The cursed boat, ruler of the 1st dark sea" 14:47 Luckious blorkvo "The malice within the high staff, ruler of the 5 Continential Powers" Edit: I thank the people who pointed out the villager one. Also, that's a new record of likes for me, thanks everybody :D and please do point out mistakes I made in the list like reference and unlisted bosses.
10:11 this is a reference to the first ever Avm episode where green does this against red who is possessed by herobrine. This shows that maybe red was still conscious and aware when herobrine was controlling him and saw this move and how effectively it worked.
I really like how bedrock was implemented through the staff by changing the formation/placement of blocks instead of it being more powerful at destruction than netherite (which is what many people including myself thought it would do) because it’s not meant to be used as a single block; it’s meant to be a placeholder that separates the overworld and the void. It really subverted my expectations, and I like that
I really love the whole staff idea that the third season was mostly about, and the way this plot point is still continued, now with the staff being in *yellow's* trustworthy and technically adept hands, it leads to a ton of fun ideas and interactions. The way it was combined with the note blocks brings up yet another great plot point of the past _past_ season and is just a spectacular way to tie more things together. Great job Alan!
@yeeeeeeeeee78 yeah we watched WatchData, WatchData puts comfortable musics from the him we watched this is how our fart affects and everybody goes into comment section only talking about Fart and 👍👎💬 79 comments attach to our farts and more Edit YES OMG THANKS FOR HOLY LIKES Doha Mumbai
I absolutely adore the fact that during the beginning of the episode, when each of the Sticks choose a block to insert into the staff, their block of choice directly correlates to their established expertise. Blue chooses the brewing stand, seeing as he's the first to discover this particular aspect of Minecraft and is the team's alchemist and resident nether wart addict. Green is the artist amongst his cohorts, he's both musically and generally creative, shown when he effortlessly constructs a functional lighthouse way back in the very first episode and convinces Purple to join forces through music alone, hence, he goes for the noteblock. TSC/Orange loves exploring and discovering new things, as he's the one who introduced everyone to Minecraft in the first place, so he opts to go for the more unconventional blocks, the end frame and the anvil (though the anvil may be due to his fondness of crafting). Red (my personal favorite) has a special connection with mobs and creatures, this is further demonstrated in Season 3, where he recruits the most allies out of all of the Sticks, and therefore selects the spawner to slot in the staff. Yellow of course is the group's cyberpunk, he's the one who initially deciphered what command blocks actually do and how they function, made a course on redstone and was also entrusted with the command block staff back in Season 3, which is why he picks the redstone block. I may be looking too deep into this, but these small details that display each and every one of their unique characteristics go a long way in terms of character development and consistency. 🌟 Superior work by the Alan Becker team as always! 💕
Alan literally makes an animation breakthrough with each new video, both in plot and visual terms, his animation is a complex interweaving of the work of many experienced, creative, versatile people, who, however, carry out their work as smoothly as possible under the strict guidance of a talented, and, I’m not afraid this word, a brilliant director.
How do you have that animation have that hard thing how do you have that you just make it yourself just make it yourself but how do you just make all them make that in this thing just make all the motion just make it why just I just see that this is the same video that video yeah that is the same
In the commentary video, Alan said there was a reason behind every staff chosen for the final fight so let me try and figure that out: Red- TNT Staff and Herobrine Staff TNT could be because this is the most destructive Red has been. We’ve all known him as the sweetheart who loves animals so this is rather extreme for him. Herobrine is obvious, he got possessed in the very first AvM video Orange - Bedrock Staff and Sculk Sensor Staff Bedrock is an indestructible material in Survival so this could reference Orange’s “indestructible” nature as we saw in AvA 5. Sculk Sensor is definitely a callback to the Warden he befriended and then fought King Orange with Yellow - Redstone Block Staff and Fireplace Staff Yellow’s the engineer, of COURSE he’d have the Redstone staff. Fireplace could be because it gives him flight like his original Command Block Staff Green - End Portal Staff and Cobweb Staff Cobweb gives him abilities identical to his trusty fishing rod and End Portal could be a reference to the portal he traveled through to find Purple in Note Block Universe Blue - Lapis Block Staff and Brewing Stand Staff Blue’s the most attuned to the magical side of Minecraft with potions so it’d make sense he’d also have the Lapis Block, since lapis acts as fuel for an enchanting table
I think the TNT Block may also represent Red's bond with Beeper! But good analysis! Also, I think Green got the End Portal because she's always been the one to solve her problems with sick parkour, so a "portal gun" makes sense to couple with the cobweb staff for her.
I’m sorry but, *note block universe And also I do think Yellow having the Redstone block and Fireplace staff is a reference to him also being wanted similar to The Chosen One in AvA VI, since the fireplace and Redstone might resemble, The Chosen One’s fire beam and laser eyes
12:59 Can you imagine how Red must feel, constantly being surrounded by random Herobrine references. Ya'know, the guy who possessed him on more than one occasion and then served as his teacher for a bit (lmao). Safe to say their relationship is rather complicated.
I love the detail how after DJ called Green Spider-Man in past videos with how good Green is with using a fishing rod, Alan Becker gave Green a portal staff and a web staff as a reference to SpiderMan across the spider verse(a mix of Spider-Man and Spot’s powers)! Also, everything here is so well done! The way the animation team added so many little details was incredible. Each stick figure’s personality is so unique and well portrayed.
Can we just think about the fact that King Orange made that staff and made it compatible with every single block and possibly item in Minecraft? The genius of the man cannot be understated.
Dude was desperate for an answer and left no possible solution forbidden it seems, from dirt to icon. A father out for revenge seems to not have a limit to what he'll try
Oh yeah speaking of which I was wondering why they used King Orange's staff and not Yellow's blue one so I looked back and in the previous AVM (not AVM short) it was destroyed when King Orange called down lightning after getting his staff back from purple
@@geekjokes8458 I think he intended on using a Minecraft block (I believe in testing he used a more basic one, maybe a command block, can't remember) and it just happened to work on the icon as well. I think it was just built to accept Minecraft entities
What I learned from this episode is that red was really just curious and shows how being curious leads to learning a valuable lesson in life. I dont think he deserved to be put in time out at the end he was just being curious
Big shoutout to the entire animation crew! Honestly a big part of this series has been the entire animation team involved. One of my favorites (Potions) I believe was animated entirely by Alan’s team without him. The animation crew definitely deserve more credit than the fans give them!!
Yellow has undergone a remarkable amount of character growth to have learned restraint and for once not be responsible for causing chaos out of curiosity. we'll have to see if Red learns this lesson also
Gotta tell you guys something. Idk if ya watched the comments or not but i sayed that the alan's members only discord group was rude to me. Well, i completely changed my mind and in really they are very nice people and i can guarantee that if you have membership and have discord on any device you'll have an good time whit them
11:52 Oh my god I just noticed. When Yellow finishes firing the dispenser staff, he does a tactical reload, and the bucket, that was holding the fish that was shot out as a projectile, get ejected like a cartridge. That is both incredibly funny and extremely nice attention to detail.
The animation is astonishing, the characters and plotting is so elegant and effortless with the setups and payoffs, even without dialogue, but the part that always impresses me the most is the music. The trans-diagetic sounds with the noteblocks, the dips and climaxes in time with the action. I have no idea how you would even storyboard one of these, let alone execute it this well. It's perfect.
There aren’t words to describe how amazing these animations are. They just have so much story and emotion, compelling characters and fun adventures that most tv shows nowadays don’t have and you do he does it all without dialogue. It’s just incredible.
Rest in peace, Beeper, may the flower fields you now roam be lively and plentiful. On another note; this episode is amazing! The score playing along with all of the fights was immaculate. This is a beautiful work of art. Kudos to you and the team, Alan!
The first time we saw the staff in this series way back when I thought it was some of the most creative sequences with minecraft mechanics I’d seen. And somehow Alan and his team built on that an exponential amount with this episode, really can’t overstate just how creative you guys are every dang time.
@@SpaceHardcore88 thanks yall. I didnt know thats name is staff. I was thinking that maybe he meant that his work team. Because yknow "staff" indicates "plurality"
By the looks of it, the staff allows you full mastery over a certain block, allowing you to use it in it's peak potential, unlocking abilities kept within them that is unaccessible with just normal usage. This implies that in Alan's world, every block in Minecraft has an innate stored power, waiting to be discovered.
This episode was really something else. I think it's the second longest after The King. Many people have said it, but the choreography of the battle sequences, as well as the multiple references to older episodes (such as the original AvM) and to pieces of media (Getting over it/ Spiderman vs Spot) were spot on. One thing that hasn't been said is about what this and the other two episodes of s4 reveal about the season. I believe it is going to be each of the characters learning a lesson. In ep. 31, Yellow saw that it doesn't matter who the winner is in the end, but the others didn't get it. In ep. 32, Blue saw that what one gains from the trip is more important than the final destination, while the others focused on the food. Lastly, in this one, Red learned the hard way not to randomly mess with stuff to cause trouble, and he didn't complain at all when being put in timeout. I think this season is going to explore the character development of the gang and maybe even Purple, if we can assume anything from his appearence in the "Bob is always there" short, which seemed to contain easter eggs to next episodes. I'm really looking forward to see what's next! P.S. RIP Beeper
@@BraveJ28 1) Ik, that's why I said second longest. 2) I mean this season. And I don't think Red has caused such *major* problem by himself (not counting when he was possessed, he had no control)
15:34 I wanted to complement how well you introduce ideas. From this simple animation of the staffs filling in other spots, it’s clear that the objective is to take them all out.
I love how Green’s first instinct to seeing a Villager Child was grab it by its legs and have Yellow enchant it with knockback 99 so he could use it as a weapon.
I love the references that were subtly put in here as enemy staff weilders. The Villager stuck in a cauldron = Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy The Cow with Teleporation = The Spot from Spider-Man (Which Green fought using the String weapon like Spider-Man.) (Also ended with a Portal reference) The Emerald wielding boat that had to be punched like a million times to break it.
@@AveragePrimate It's just a reference to Minecraft itself. In the game in order to break boats you have to punch them like 20 times, so to defeat the boat enemy the stickmen had to absolutely wail on it for a few seconds.
18:38 the fact that the bees just start Aggressively attacking the Lucky block Staff like a jumpscare makes it 10x Better 18:52 RIP Creeper Bee/Beeper Dec 23 2023 - Dec 23 2023
I like how many references there were to alans shorts 6:59 “Speedrun”- Alans latest short where TSC put a pumpkin on an endermans head. Also cool how blue and orange witnessed it and they were the only ones to appear in the short 10:31 “my ghast friend”- our second encounter with a friendly ghast, the first one being yellows friend that died in one of the earliest shorts to blue 1:33 “spawn eggs”- red again makes cursed animals. Bro does not learn his lesson If anyone spots any more please do tell!!!
There are a lot of references in this video Ike the neverright block pig where red mines the bocks like he did in the animation Minecraft where green did something like that
marvel has a team too, disney also has a team, im not saying they arent doing a good job but alan is doing top tier stuff in a much faster pace imo@@martinmarkov9707
so every block, with the staff, has its own corresponding power. ingenious. it's like the infinity stones but so much better. love you alan, never stop coming up with good ideas and executing them so well
Wow, what an epic episode. I didn't expect the Orb to return. There was so much going on in that tower that I'll have to watch it multiple times, each time focusing on a different character. I also like how this episode expands on the staff lore with different blocks having different effects. RIP Beeper 🐝
I LOVED all the references in this one. The two most memorable to me were the Getting Over It villager and the recreation of the fight between Miles Moralez and The Spot. They even made The Spot a cow like how Gwen called him in the movie! Such creativity in these animations it's amazing
17:37 the orb thing- it's chilling, it's not stressed or just out of options. It's smart, exploring it's newfound powers (it trapped them in different ways and collected Red's staffs by producing a hand when it could've done what it did with Yellow.) It's _playing_ with them, having fun. It is megalomaniac, look at how it showcases the staffs around it. My greatest concern was it's source of sentience.
Honestly in the original Lucky Block video, I wasn't entirely sure how alive it actually was, but, here, I think it definitely proves that it's not only alive, but knows EXACTLY what it's doing and all times. Absolutely here for it, even side villains get their character moments.
If you look at the world within a computer as its own universe, then animators and programmers are the equivalent of gods, and the Lucky Block mod developer is technically responsible for the creation, and imprisonment, of that sentient orb. So if we were to come up with lore I'd say we go from there.
It intrigued me on how Alan was able to find some way to make each item's ability unique and interesting. It's pretty nice to see how much he pays attention to detail when it comes to making these episodes. I can't wait to see more!
And on top of that, even if some of the blocks have the same outcomes, he makes the effect unique. I think the brewing stand allowed the holder to fly, but that’s because of the recoil, whereas the campfire actively generated thrust like a rocket engine.
@yeeeeeeeeeeee78 yeah we watched WatchData he put comfortable music we wear our Pant uh and it affects our fart and I may need to move my pant within ⬇️👎💬 fart oops ⬇️ it's 👍👎💬 Edit YES OMG THANKS FOR LIEKS

The names of the colours : red is Tiyoyto green is Skipidoisen blue is rizasperus yellow is yinkoleram orange is onidaritant. Tell me if I missed some colours!
I dont know if you guys noticed it, but in the first fight (Zombie Pigman's Fight) 10:19, Red does what is seems to be that movement that Green used with the pickaxe in the first ever episode launched of the series (Animation vs. Minecraft) back at 2015, at the exact 10 minutes of the episode. This was the perfect reference to the origin of it all.
There's something so amazing about how these shorts do things like 13:30, where it introduces the function of the Sculk Staff, then uses the information taught to the watcher to logically execute a really cool interaction like 17:00. Especially since it's within the new context of the Lucky Sphere but still makes sense.
I always rewind several times in a few shots just to absorb the overwhelming amount of detail, work and insane ideas. Plus, funny moments, we can never get enough of those! Nevermind. This was my favourite episode so far! The idea of the staffs working differently with different blocks was so good, and it was executed thousands times better than the idea itself! Props to y'all! 🎉
One of my personal favourites of Alan Becker's Animation is the fact that you can follow along any of the stickmen during a fight and you'll see how much they help each other out. Talk about teamwork!
Gotta tell you guys something. Idk if ya watched the comments or not but i sayed that the alan's members only discord group was rude to me. I'm surprised that Hollywood hasn't noticed Alan yet. This was my favorite video on Alan's channel by FAR. The fighting is phenomenal, the storyline, the animation, it's just amazing. I am so grateful we have Alan on this platform.

13:58 Can we talk about how out of all the staff wielders the sticks faced, the boat was the one that gave them THE hardest fight and they got the most aggressive with taking it down
y'know everyone always raves about the animation skills (which, i mean, fair enough), but personally one of my favourite things about these videos is the freaking SOUND DESIGN (including the music, which always SLAPS). it's been consistently amazing with this series (and all of Alan's animations, tbf) and I wish more people talked about it! keep making great things Alan :)
I know a lot of people always compliment the animation (which is AMAZING) but the fighting and combat styles are so creative and expressive! It’s absolutely phenomenal!
Eu fiquei apaixonado na ideia de cada bloco ter suas utilidades e limitações,isso obrigou os personagens e animadores a ficaram sempre tendo que trocar Mas queria ter entendido o poder do sino e cabeça de Steve
@@tyronel.m. The Steve head gave Red the abilities of a Minecraft player, which he already had. In the hands of a mob, it would’ve been a lot more powerful, but it got an upgrade when it became a Herobrine staff instead, now giving Red Herobrine’s abilities
I noticed this too!! I can't imagine how much time it took to organize and sequence everything so that it coordinates with the characters' positions on the screen.
I loved the Getting Over It (13:16) and Spiderman reference (the cobweb staff)!! Everything about this episode was epic, namely the lucky block fight, the Beeper sacrifice (RIP Beeper we'll miss you) and the innovative staffs! These animations should be world-renowned man.
Excellent episode yet again! Great job Alan!!! Loved all the references as well! Here are the ones I caught 1:42 Blue's original farm from the first Animation Vs Minecraft 6:31 Cave Spider in a Minecart from AVM Shorts Ep. 14 6:58 Enderman with pumpkin on its head from Speedrun - An Actual Short 13:06 Red always encountering Herobrine 13:15 Getting Over It villager 13:39 Green doing Steve's Up Smash attack from Super Smash Bros Ultimate 13:58 similar to the scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home when Dr Strange's portal closes in the Mirror Dimension 14:05 this boat is from Bedrock Edition, rather than Java Edition There's probably a lot more for me to find, but awesome references Alan!!!
the whole scene from 13:47 to 13:58 being a reference of the Across the Spider-Verse fight scene of Miles and the Spot in the beginning is incredible plus that reference of Dr Strange
I LOVED the references, the villager in cauldron as Getting Over It, the iron golem's staff as the Tome of Infinite Wisdom from Terraria, and the cow as Spot from ATSV. LOVE IT
@@iqzario4animations203 i think it is a reference, look at the way green uses webs to move around while fighting the teleporting cow. spidergreen supremacy.
It's incredible how Alan sticks can convey so many expressions to viewers even though they don't have hands or faces, this shows how much Alan really loves what he does.
Bro the creativity on the Block Staves was amazing. Each block has its own function that is both applicable for Combat and Utilities. Just like how the Bedrock Staff are both defensive and offensive, Brewing Stand Staff can also heal, buff, debuff and damage someone based on the usage and the Amethyst Staff is also cool that it can reflect non deflectable projectiles. Super cool concept.
i like how some of the staffs they use might reference other characters tsc: warden (obviously) 13:28 red: herobrine (even more obvious) 13:07 yellow: the chosen one (redstone & campfire 15:31 16:38, ice 12:52) green: enderman & spider (end portal, cobweb) technically the witch uses portals but idk 15:40 blue: the witch & cleric[enchanting villager] (brewing stand & lapis) 16:04 probably a bit of a stretch :P
I just...... HOW???? How is it that every time I walk onto a different side of the UA-cam and come back, you just create these god damn ACTION MOVIES???? Like- like- I can't even BEGIN to describe how much of i love the fight scenes, because HOLY HELL!!! The choreography is brilliant, and just staring at the fight scene makes me feel like I'm looking at a work of moving art! Every single stick man has their own unique fight scene and they all entangle with each other in a breath-taking ensemble of movement. I can't take my eyes off for a single second because it all swooshes by so quickly!! The sheer creativity in their movements and fighting style, not to mention the god damn staffs with their own individual abilities? Like- I CAN'T DESCRIBE how much I love this because I CAN'T find the words!!! I just- I love this channel so much... ㅠㅠ Also... my god the interaction between Red and the bee is adorable.
_"Nah, there's no way in hell Alan can one-up the final battle of Episode 30"_ Alan: **Turns the staff itself into a Kingdom Hearts secret boss battle**
*Red* 0:09 The first thing he does here is try to break a block, a testament to his high offense style in pretty much everything. Granted everyone's first thing was breaking stuff, but Red definitely got the ball rolling lol. 1:07 Ever the troublemaker, Red immediately sneaks away for the Lucky Block once it's thrown away. 1:26 Instead of regular animals, Red starts splicing mobs into unique hybrids, showcasing his knowledge of animals and how they work. I assume he'd have to be pretty well-versed in animal biology to know how mix these animals without turning them into Frankenstein, considering the blocks that are put in the staff are controlled by conscious thought. (With some exceptions.) 1:32 Continuing this line of thought, Red immediately knows how to calm Beeper down the first time it starts to ignite, once again showcasing his understanding and intuition towards animals. Instead of running away, which I bet the others would have done, he thought on his feet and used his high empathy. 2:07 His empathy towards Beeper shows a few moments later as well, when he quickly calms it down again when it begins to ignite on Green. (Green immediately panics, while Red seems to instinctively know how to handle the situation.) 3:50 Red, often one to throw caution to the wind, doesn't pause when the staff starts acting unpredictably, instead showing excitement at this new discovery. I reckon if this happened to one of the others, they'd be more likely to wake up their friends or simply try and remove the Lucky Block from its staff. 4:31 He then immediately abandons the staff in favor of Beeper, less worried about it and more worried about his beloved pet. This showcases their tendency for impulsive action and a short attention span. 5:24 Red, once again showcasing his connection to animals, ties Beeper to a fence with a small garden attached. (It's also worth noting that the lead Bepper is tied to seems to give them a lot of free movement to fly around, showing that Red's goal is less about restricting Beeper and more about making it comfortable.) 5:49 This is an easy to miss detail, but if you look twice, you can see a golden zombie on Red's shelf. This is his monster school trophy from season three. I think it showcases his sentimentality. I think we all like to imagine that Red goes back there from time to time :) 6:12 What I find really interesting here, is that Red's first instinct seems to be to communicate with the staff when it starts to display sentience. His arms are up in a placating gesture and he moves slowly, so as not to frighten it. This shows his high empathy at its clearest in this episode. 9:10 Obviously guilty, Red stays behind when his friends run ahead. What really resonates with me here is Beeper's change in behavior. Much more affectionate, it sees that Red is upset and tries to cheer him up with nuzzles. Then, and this is the most adorable thing, it goes off screen for a second, and brings back a flower for Red, a direct parallel to Red doing the same for it when it's automatic defense mechanism was in play. This is the first scene we see where Beeper doesn't try to explode in someone's face, because it no longer feels like it has to be hostile. 10:13 Just the small detail of Red using the same move that was used on him when he was possessed interests me, so I wanted to put it in. 10:23 His first instinct was to summon a mob for them to ride, and it worked perfectly. 10:53 Immediately goes on the attack, displaying his high-offense attack style. 11:29 I don't know why, but I just like him throwing carrots at people. 12:48 Lol he's silly. 13:01 Immediately channels Herobrine's powers and seems to have a perfect understanding of how to use them. 14:10 I think Red is the most aggressive person towards the boat in this scene lol 15:03 Fighting stance a c t i v a t e d . 15:21 Once again, immediately on the offensive, shooting TNT at the enemy. 15:55 Fhaksgka Orange caught Red earlier so now Red's catching Orange AHHHH 17:04 Red being aggressive af part two. 18:01 Got a problem? Solve it with animals :D 18:40 My manz is fully communicating with a legalized nuclear bumblebee from like, a forty meters away. 19:22 HE HELD A FUNERAL FOR BEEPER OH MY GOD T_T 19:41 He's a child.
19:46 I know it's Red owning up to his mistakes, but imagine: "Hey, are we gonna hug and forget this ever happened again, like that one time I got turned into herobrine?" "Boi- get in there" "aw"
An enormous round of applause to Alan Becker and his team, props to them. They are continuously creating quality content without ever failing to make it entertaining.
Before the episode "The King" came up I remember saying that Orange and the crew should use "the orb" to defeat King Orange as it was proven to be far more powerful than the command block; with this new episode I'm glad to see I was right, but I now understand why that wouldn't have helped at all since "the orb" is sentient, and is nice that Alan has remained consistent across all episodes, this is truly a work of art 👏🏼 P.S.: A "what if" type of episode where King Orange, at his prime, fight against "the orb" would be really cool to see
Hmm.. that would be a cool match up. Already trying to convince Alan to make a full vid on King vs Dark, so if he does that and he wants more I could throw ideas.

I believe it is lol
King orange went full attack mode and let their guard down for not encasing himself with bedrock/barrier
Those kinds of entities are so scary to me. I don't know how else to describe it, but that level of clinical detachment is unnerving.

It really subverted my expectations, and I like that
it also separates the nether from the void (as a floor and roof)

I really love the whole staff idea that the third season was mostly about, and the way this plot point is still continued, now with the staff being in *yellow's* trustworthy and technically adept hands, it leads to a ton of fun ideas and interactions.

In the commentary video, Alan said there was a reason behind every staff chosen for the final fight so let me try and figure that out:
Red- TNT Staff and Herobrine Staff
TNT could be because this is the most destructive Red has been. We’ve all known him as the sweetheart who loves animals so this is rather extreme for him. Herobrine is obvious, he got possessed in the very first AvM video
Orange - Bedrock Staff and Sculk Sensor Staff
Bedrock is an indestructible material in Survival so this could reference Orange’s “indestructible” nature as we saw in AvA 5. Sculk Sensor is definitely a callback to the Warden he befriended and then fought King Orange with
Yellow - Redstone Block Staff and Fireplace Staff
Yellow’s the engineer, of COURSE he’d have the Redstone staff. Fireplace could be because it gives him flight like his original Command Block Staff
Green - End Portal Staff and Cobweb Staff
Cobweb gives him abilities identical to his trusty fishing rod and End Portal could be a reference to the portal he traveled through to find Purple in Note Block Universe
Blue - Lapis Block Staff and Brewing Stand Staff
Blue’s the most attuned to the magical side of Minecraft with potions so it’d make sense he’d also have the Lapis Block, since lapis acts as fuel for an enchanting table
I think the TNT Block may also represent Red's bond with Beeper! But good analysis! Also, I think Green got the End Portal because she's always been the one to solve her problems with sick parkour, so a "portal gun" makes sense to couple with the cobweb staff for her.

Oh my god I just noticed.

It's _playing_ with them, having fun.

If you look at the world within a computer as its own universe, then animators and programmers are the equivalent of gods, and the Lucky Block mod developer is technically responsible for the creation, and imprisonment, of that sentient orb. 1:42 Blue's original farm from the first Animation Vs Minecraft
6:31 Cave Spider in a Minecart from AVM Shorts Ep. 14
6:58 Enderman with pumpkin on its head from Speedrun - An Actual Short
13:06 Red always encountering Herobrine
13:15 Getting Over It villager
13:39 Green doing Steve's Up Smash attack from Super Smash Bros Ultimate
13:58 similar to the scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home when Dr Strange's portal closes in the Mirror Dimension
14:05 this boat is from Bedrock Edition, rather than Java Edition
There's probably a lot more for me to find, but awesome references Alan!!!
i think there was red mining the netherrack blocks
its a reference to when green ( i think ) was mining the netherrack trying to hit red
I thought someone noticed 13:58
10:19 deja vu from original AvM?
1:32 reference to spawn eggs an actual short
2:37 this is the house that we saw in the texture video now it has a new design
the whole scene from 13:47 to 13:58 being a reference of the Across the Spider-Verse fight scene of Miles and the Spot in the beginning is incredible plus that reference of Dr Strange
R.I.P TNT BEE
I LOVED the references, the villager in cauldron as Getting Over It, the iron golem's staff as the Tome of Infinite Wisdom from Terraria, and the cow as Spot from ATSV. LOVE IT
Where’s the cow at?
Nvm I seen it, probably just a portal and not a reference ngl
@@iqzario4animations203 i think it is a reference, look at the way green uses webs to move around while fighting the teleporting cow. spidergreen supremacy.
@@aminaseisenova379 lol reminds me of when they used fishing rods lol
Aye don’t forget the Everything Everywhere All At Once reference where *every* block forms into a bagel
It's incredible how Alan sticks can convey so many expressions to viewers even though they don't have hands or faces, this shows how much Alan really loves what he does.
i agree with you idk how he does that but that just make him alan becker
@@Catdabb-st9ry are the stickmans from a game?
@@funtime7723 Nah watch his older videos from before the minecraft animations first they came from there.

@@spob811They have arms, not hands.
I love that Alan has started giving each character their time to shine even in videos dedicated to the other characters.

Super cool concept.
i like how some of the staffs they use might reference other characters
tsc: warden (obviously) 13:28
red: herobrine (even more obvious) 13:07
yellow: the chosen one (redstone & campfire 15:31 16:38, ice 12:52)
green: enderman & spider (end portal, cobweb) technically the witch uses portals but idk 15:40
blue: the witch & cleric[enchanting villager] (brewing stand & lapis) 16:04 probably a bit of a stretch :P
I LOVE the concept that different blocks give the staff different properties! It’s so unique and can lead to so many different abilities

ㅠㅠ
Also... my god the interaction between Red and the bee is adorable.
_"Nah, there's no way in hell Alan can one-up the final battle of Episode 30"_
Alan: **Turns the staff itself into a Kingdom Hearts secret boss battle**
The staff was the True Final Boss all along.
Bob waiting in the depths of Alan's computer:
Can we talk about how strong beepers explosion was?!
Sephiroth moment.
If King Orange was the final boss of AvM, then the "Lucky Block Core" (for lack of a better name) was one of possibly many *post-game superbosses.*
*Red*
0:09
The first thing he does here is try to break a block, a testament to his high offense style in pretty much everything. Granted everyone's first thing was breaking stuff, but Red definitely got the ball rolling lol.
1:07
Ever the troublemaker, Red immediately sneaks away for the Lucky Block once it's thrown away.
1:26
Instead of regular animals, Red starts splicing mobs into unique hybrids, showcasing his knowledge of animals and how they work. I assume he'd have to be pretty well-versed in animal biology to know how mix these animals without turning them into Frankenstein, considering the blocks that are put in the staff are controlled by conscious thought. (With some exceptions.)
1:32
Continuing this line of thought, Red immediately knows how to calm Beeper down the first time it starts to ignite, once again showcasing his understanding and intuition towards animals. Instead of running away, which I bet the others would have done, he thought on his feet and used his high empathy.
2:07
His empathy towards Beeper shows a few moments later as well, when he quickly calms it down again when it begins to ignite on Green. (Green immediately panics, while Red seems to instinctively know how to handle the situation.)
3:50
Red, often one to throw caution to the wind, doesn't pause when the staff starts acting unpredictably, instead showing excitement at this new discovery. I reckon if this happened to one of the others, they'd be more likely to wake up their friends or simply try and remove the Lucky Block from its staff.
4:31
He then immediately abandons the staff in favor of Beeper, less worried about it and more worried about his beloved pet. This showcases their tendency for impulsive action and a short attention span.
5:24
Red, once again showcasing his connection to animals, ties Beeper to a fence with a small garden attached. (It's also worth noting that the lead Bepper is tied to seems to give them a lot of free movement to fly around, showing that Red's goal is less about restricting Beeper and more about making it comfortable.)
5:49
This is an easy to miss detail, but if you look twice, you can see a golden zombie on Red's shelf. This is his monster school trophy from season three. I think it showcases his sentimentality. I think we all like to imagine that Red goes back there from time to time :)
6:12
What I find really interesting here, is that Red's first instinct seems to be to communicate with the staff when it starts to display sentience. His arms are up in a placating gesture and he moves slowly, so as not to frighten it. This shows his high empathy at its clearest in this episode.
9:10
Obviously guilty, Red stays behind when his friends run ahead.
10:13
Just the small detail of Red using the same move that was used on him when he was possessed interests me, so I wanted to put it in.
10:23
His first instinct was to summon a mob for them to ride, and it worked perfectly.
10:53
Immediately goes on the attack, displaying his high-offense attack style.
11:29
I don't know why, but I just like him throwing carrots at people.
12:48
Lol he's silly.
13:01
Immediately channels Herobrine's powers and seems to have a perfect understanding of how to use them.
14:10
I think Red is the most aggressive person towards the boat in this scene lol
15:03
Fighting stance a c t i v a t e d .
15:21
Once again, immediately on the offensive, shooting TNT at the enemy.
15:55
Fhaksgka Orange caught Red earlier so now Red's catching Orange AHHHH
17:04
Red being aggressive af part two.
18:01
Got a problem? Solve it with animals :D

Hello. Can anyone explain what the "Discound code" is?
Before the episode "The King" came up I remember saying that Orange and the crew should use "the orb" to defeat King Orange as it was proven to be far more powerful than the command block; with this new episode I'm glad to see I was right, but I now understand why that wouldn't have helped at all since "the orb" is sentient, and is nice that Alan has remained consistent across all episodes, this is truly a work of art 👏🏼
P.S.: A "what if" type of episode where King Orange, at his prime, fight against "the orb" would be really cool to see
you right… it would be also pretty cool also happy new year c:
might happen as an Actual Short if Alan gets bored
I mean, we've already gotten King Orange vs. The Dark Lord
...sort of
please tell me what is the "Discound Code" in YooTooz?
Hmm.. that would be a cool match up.
Already trying to convince Alan to make a full vid on King vs Dark, so if he does that and he wants more I could throw ideas.
