- Is it possible to beat Terraria without attacking? Today we're going to find out!
For this "pacifist" run, anything that requires input on my end to deal damage will be strictly prohibited. So no dealing damage with weapons (no we can't used summons either), tools, bombs etc.
I will also avoid using fireworks and traps because you've probably already seen that before.
Let's see if we can do it!

Yeah, it's extremely well-known that you can kill everything with summons or traps so he didn't bother showing that to us.
Hyperdefensive builds will always be my favorite. It's too fun to see a boss that would normally one-shot do close to no damage. It's a feeling like no other.

TIP : if you spammed healing on the nurse while fighting moon lord and don't close the nurse , she won't be able to heal her self , you must leave the nurse's healing window for her to heal herself

I knew immediately why you would fight Deerclops first in this run: he doesn't despawn when you die. That fact is burned into my brain, because when my sister fought him for the first time, she died over two dozen times. Her spawn point was within 10 seconds' walking distance of the boss, too, so she couldn't get a break.
Gungnir whenever he gets a new accessory: "This is the BEST item in the whole run!"
I like to imagine that the player is just trying to give the bosses a hug but somehow keeps killing them

the fact that practically ever accessory he got was labelled as "one of the most important accessories of this run" was pretty funny
ive always thought that all these accessories were pretty under utilized in the game, mostly bc most of them arent that good compared to others at the same point. and for a while now ive wanted to see a challenge run where they were used. limiting what you can do in the game doesnt tend to be too fun and not many of these challenges change how you play the game so i dont tend to do them so its nice to see them done by someone else
Well that is possible, I once saw someone on discord who SOMEHOW managed to make it to pre plantera with MINECART RAM ONLY DAMAGE. Which technically counts as this challenge, and some guy on UA-cam managed to beat the game with traps only damage, I forgot his name but if you've watched his video, you know who. Which now deffinetly counts as part of this challenge.
He didnt use traps for most of if not all the vid iam not sure i am halfway throught tge vid,no hate btw❤😊

I watch a lot of terraria videos and this is probably my favorite video so far this year. Really creative and uses some lesser used items. Great audio and editing too!

The editing and “story” of this is top notch; an incredibly entertaining 21 minutes.
For getting back to spawn faster, use the sand bed trick. Break a block that forms the room for where you've placed your bed, and then a pillar of blocks above that, place a block of sand on the side of the pillar so it'll fall into place, completing the room, but recall before it lands, then do whatever you need to and recall back.

On the moonlord, would it be possible to use the contact damage with the hands once the eyes pop to trigger some of your damaging accessories like the star cloak?
Yes but the contact damage is so high and the stars would likely miss the core anyway so it's not worth it
@@ryanhacker5259 The empty eye sockets on the moonlord's hands? I'm pretty sure they deal next to no damage, which is why I suggested it in particular.

Ok I’m SO sorry that you were doing this alongside the hgss entei/raikou hunt. I successfully completed the Raikou one a few years back. I literally was able to soft reset for a specific tid I wanted in platinum before I got it
Considering how much times he took contact damage, i wonder why he didn't use turtle armor (which you can get before plantera)
There wasn't anything stopping you from using both the bone helm _and_ the volatile gelatin.

"We just got one of the best accessories of the run" changes after every boss fight.
the Moon lord doesn't have a built in dps check, but instead the leech it launches from it's mouth heals with the debuff it inflicts on the player (moon bite), which can be avoided by either building a teleport setup, or running faster than the leech's traverse speed, or anything really, even the nurse can remove the debuff.
what I'm saying, is that no matter how small your dps is, you can beat moon lord, it just takes a lot of time
I honestly thought it was impossible and expected that you would fail somewhere halfway. This was an amazing video.
Challenge idea: Beat Terraria as a summoner, but you can't touch any of your summons the entire time or you die
Well I tested something when I saw the mechanics u used in this run and well I found out that although the devs removed *mini cloaking* they didn't think about *sand cloaking* if u have enough damage reduction and def u can take 1-3 dmg from sand and with a correct setup u can make stars rain on ur target it only really works on Queen Slime and the destroyer it is very useful for this type of run

this is the craziest challenge i have seen so far. expert as well. fair play man
for wall spikes is also an option as well with the honey comb if you have enough defense. Awhile ago that was a strat we would use in some hc runs, get spikes throughout the entire arena and just walk on them, as well as having a bunch of defensive accessories and sharktooth necklaces it shredded wall. Was it the best strat for a hc run? no not really that's why we don't use it much anymore, but it was fun to do.

I actually did this playthrough a while back, but I started with the damage accessories, used the bone glove(with a gold shortsword) and utilized summons

Gungnir is beating Terraria without doing any damage *IN EXPERT MODE* and I'm still stuck here struggling with destroyer, that is some true skill and knowledge.
Destroyer is all about avoiding the head and prioritizing AOE damage, since you want the piercing to hit all of his segments+ you want the AOE to hit the probes so they drop hearts. Ranger likes the classic Daedalus stormbow+holy arrows, Melee likes Excalibur, gungnir, nights edge, or flying knife, Summoner likes the blade staff, and Mage likes the meteor staff or crystal serpent.
I miss the early game grind in your videos it was entertaining to watch too and doing all the bosses

I absolutely love being the tank in Terraria and this challenge was very enjoyable to watch.
As a community, Terraria players have now proven Terraria's tagline, "Dig, Fight, Explore, Build", as completely wrong. Players have beaten the game without breaking blocks, attacking, using movement keys, or placing a single block. Now it's just a matter of time before someone combines them all.

Its kind of insane to me how well this method of playing works?
It feels like it was more intended than INTENDED weapon builds like throwing or bows or other things.
The bosses even have a natural difficulty curve for it, and consistently provide you with new ways to up your power.

My friend and I. Didn’t want to make top gear armor so we made orichalcum but we made it on not the bees, which if you don’t know has random queen bee spawns (we summoned 5 at once on multiple occasions)

You probably could have just planted yourself firmly inside the hit box of that mouth/eye socket on moon lord's hand so you can abuse the I-frames that gives you.
Funfact titanium armor is great for RoD farming with the queen slime knife summon cause summon damage still activates the shield against enchanted swords

I mean yeah, you could. But considering he began with Deerclops, the NPCs would've died very quickly. Even the ones with the higher DPS like the arms dealer. And after the Deerclops, he could deal with bosses without the NPCs anyway.
The NPCs are only really viable for the Eye of Cthulhu. Maybe Queen Bee?
