Ocarina of time dungeons in a nutshell?
Inside Great Deku Tree= A great tutorial level for new players
Dodongo's Cavern= an introduction to fighting a two on one duel
Inside Jabu Jabu's Belly= escort mission for half of it if not a little more
Forest Temple= a tutorial on what to expect from Ganondorf at the end of the game
Fire Temple= rescue Gorons and fight a dragon
Water Temple= along with what's mentioned in the video having to strategize on how to defeat the two notable bosses Dark Link and Morpha(the first more than the second)
Spirit Temple= introduction to Iron Knuckles and learning the basics of reflecting with the Mirror Shield(Although one thing that threw me off was how the hell did two old crones turn into an attractive young woman since you're expected to defeat her/them)
Inside the Well= an introduction to seeing past illusions like walls that you can walk through
Shadow Temple= the shortest dungeon in the game.
Gerudo Training Grounds= a series of challenges for an elemental arrow that could have been better off being found in the Ice Cavern
Ice Cavern= a tutorial on using the Iron Boots once you get them
Haunted Wasteland= while not really a dungeon the whole area acts like one just to reach the Spirit Temple due to the perpetual sandstorm
Hyrule Castle Courtyard= not a dungeon but a tutorial on stealth sections
Gerudo Fortress= not a dungeon but you need to use stealth to traverse it to rescue carpenters
and finally Ganon's Castle= the first part is an obstacle course of challenges that has you use everything you learned up to that point. and the second part after defeating Ganondorf is a tutorial on how to beat a countdown timer if you ever decided to play a Metroid game both 2D and Prime.

Cannot agree with Phantom Hourglass´s temple of ocean king. It`s not always the same, as you can progress much faster and different with some new items. I was able to get everything including the teleport to the bottom in three visits if the very first, where you look for Linebeck, is not counted. You just need to know the fake ending room`s secret and the dungeon is so much better.

Personally I found the Great Bay to be put together really well, it seriously isn't that bad. The Water Temple is hard as hell first time but on return it's more of an interesting, atmospheric labryinth I found most enjoyable. Also great for farming ship parts. The only downside is when I make a new file I’m fighting against muscle memory for shortcuts and items I…actually can’t use yet.
But yeah. PH’s items worked amazingly well for this MASSIVE stealth dungeon that you just got better at navigating the more times you did it. This is also the only time I actually care to use the hammer and bombchus, and the boomerang finally feels like it regains its utikity from early Topdown Zelda that it lost in…really every 3D title.

I'd consider myself somewhat of a Zelda connoisseur. For the most part I agree with this list. Had a few opinions.
    1) Zelda doesn't seem to do water dungeons well. I liked the ones from Link's Awakening and loved the one from Skyward Sword (no coincidence that no dungeons from that game are here) but Link to the Past, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time all had less than stellar ones.
    2) Jabu Jabu is the devil. Enough said.
    3) Vah Nabouris is actually good, it's just difficult. I always hit that one first to pick up Urbosa's Fury as early as possible. It makes other beasts a cake walk.

I really must say something about the Great Bay Tempel, Shadow Palace, Jabu-Jabu´s Belly (Oracle of Ages) & Vah Naboris. Am i one of the only one´s who like this Dungeons? I mean:
Great Bay Tempel: I like the machanic of this dungeon and it`s the third dungeon in the game.
Shadow Palace: I not have a reason to tell this dungeon a worst one.
Jabu-Jabu`s Belly (Oracle of Ages): It´s the 7th dungeon in the game so it has to be complicated.
Vah Naboris: To be honest, it´s my favorite dungeon / divine beast in BOTW.
Well i know everyone has his own opinion so i want to say mine.

As someone who has beaten a link to the past about a million times, the trick to beating the ice palace is NOT to use Bombos. Use Ether to freeze the enemies and then smash them with your hammer. They almost ALWAYS drop magic jars from doing this making it easy to never run out of magic. The second tip I’d give is to beat Misery Mire, the swamp palace in the dark world, first. The item you get will save you tons of backtracking and head scratching in the ice palace. Give it a shot and you’ll be amazed how easy the ice palace becomes.

And honestly if you're paying attention to the pipes you need to activate, they literally guide you to the room you need to go to next.

Link's first appearance at the forsaken fortress in WW is not a "dungeon." You don't "fight" anything (besides that ONE singular moblin at the top when you get your sword), you don't get a heart container or fight a boss, you don't get an item, and you don't get a key important item like the pearls from the 3 ACTUAL first dungeons. It's just not a dungeon. It's a stealth level.

10: Jabu-Jabu's Belly is just boring, nothing special.
9: The Ice Palace isn't that bad, and it seems the player playing needs to learn movement.
8: The Palace Of Twilight is a cool dungeon with a great aesthetic.
7: You're a child, with no real way to defend yourself, it makes sense that you'd need to stealth around and avoid detection, weakness disgusts me.
5: This temple can be somewhat tedious, but the 3DS version fixes a lot of the issues, it's actually a cool dungeon.
4: This version of Jabu-Jabu can screw off, the water level mechanic is sometimes difficult to get around.
2: The only real issue with this place is multiple times you come back here, however, in one single go, the dungeon is pretty awesome, the stealth mechanics and the time limit aren't that bad, they really aren't.
1: Of course it's the Water Temple, a lot of the Temple is not actually that bad, it really isn't, the main gripe is the Iron Boots. However, Nintendo did the right thing and provided an option for people, the 3DS version defeats any reason to play the original.

Honestly it makes 0 sense to put Vah Naboris below the Ice Palace. One is a good and epic challenge with a fun albeit hard boss battle first time, the other has slippery mechanics where a lot of the time you can’t control your character and a lot of the deaths don’t feel like your fault. At least the divine beasts will mostly come down to your skill

if we were to see a continuation to twilight princess would like to see the twilight realm be fleshed out citizen's/midna rulling over them, never had a problem with forsaken fortress(there are more forced stealth in earlier zelda games, triforce hunt is worse and was the one thing i hated about wind waker which is my favorite zelda game.)though did get mad when toon link was stopped getting close to saving his sister,
loved the divine beast but yeah hated thunderblight ganon, really want to see a console wind waker sequel as phantom hourglass was underwhelming to me outside linebeck and the tri force heroes/four sword(that for some reason the series tried to make part of it's timeline.) games felt like padding for the next game & actually liked jabu jabu's belly in the oracle games compared to feeling like filler in oot(honestly didn't like most of it's dungeons and thought a lot of it's story was filler/not as grand as everyone says it is to be best zelda game compared to others.)

Well at this point you just asking too much, if they didn't rivist some of these games with a sequel they're not gonna do it, and at this point I don't think they will since the switch is a major console, so the "minor sequels" for handhelds are not gonna be a thing anymore cuz handhelds don't exist anymore with the hybrid switch.
The are focusing on the breath of the wild lore now, 3 games so far are being part of it. Plus, those games won't work with how they are aproaching the Zelda formula now, a shame yes cuz the old formula worked perfectly fine and actually what made Zelda a great frnachise.

  • @corrces

I consider Jabu Jabu in OOT underrated
Carrying Ruto around does little to worsen it
I would put Dodongo's Cavern here instead, it's the least inventive dungeon in OOT
The way the Water Temple gets talked about would lead you to think it's the most challenging level ever in any game. Granted I've played the game countless times.. it's only downsides are having to completely reset the water levels two times to complete it, and in the original game having to open the equipment menu to change boots everytime.
