I know it was not written this way, but it feels like a love letter to her fans. She can open up to us, and we accept her for who she is. We love her in all her highs and lows. We hold up our lighters high so she can find her way in the darkness.
it takes a lot for me to comment or show emotion, but yet again these 2 ladies have knocked it out of the park, leaving me with goosebumps and a feeling of total awe
As a singer, there's few experiences so amazing as when you're singing well with someone who harmonizes in perfect support like Amy in this track. That take must have felt fantastic!
I've loved Amy Lee since way back when, she's always been so underrated. I've never thought her voice would match well with another female, but here we are and it's freaking gold! 🖤
It's amazingly baffling how these 2 voices have such different qualities and timbre but harmonize so perfectly together. These are some of the prettiest harmonies I think I've ever heard
2 absolute powerhouses with an AMAZING performance. No auto tune just 2 masters of their craft. Still gives me chills. Can't count how many times I've listened to this.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a beautiful duet! I love the fact that my two favourite female vocalists of all time are friends! I loved watching them singing next to each other and uniting their beautiful and unique voices but I just wanted to see them looking at each other and smiling when the song finished...
I know but as far as I know, they recorded several times this song in one shot, till it went out perfectly in one take, this video shows perfection but it may have been the 3rd or 4th time doing it again fully from start to finish. Lil bit stressful but they both manage to pull it off perfectly
These two women are part of the best breed of modern women rock singers. Whilst their vocal styles are quite different, they come together perfectly in this track. For me listening to this is like listening to angels.
You can really see the difference between introverts and extroverts here perfectly. Amy is just standing there chillin', while lzzy is flirting with every air molecule

I cant believe two of my most favorite female vocalist of all time made a song together!!! I have always said how similar these two were in how powerful their voices are and their strong femanine dominate presence, so freaking happy this happened!!!! Now i just need a song with Haley Williams and Lzzy or Amy Lee and im complete!
they're actually really good friends. there's actually a really cool interview they had together, where they just talk about life and their art, etc. its around 50 mins long too. they talk about the behind the scenes of recording this song too. here's the link if anyone wants to watch: ua-cam.com/video/DF0knD9_kbo/v-deo.html
Amy's vulnerable and velvet smooth voice, coupled with her insane range, perfectly compliments Lizzy's powerful and angry performance. This has been a long time coming.
Lzzy Hale is probably the best female vocalist of the decade. She can sing, scream, fry, and her range is just insane!! And she sings like that live!!! Brilliant really!
Lizzy Hale has a great rock voice, but who knew it was this beautiful---I had surely no idea....she held her own and then some with the superstar voice that is Amy Lee's.
Lzzy's passion when she sings is wonderful. Amy is a goddess. The voices when them harmonize make you vibrate, too much feeling in a song. I'd like to see more songs by these two queens soon ❤️💜
There is something so special with the live version though when Amy walks out on stage to join in.... You feel and hear the reaction in the crowd and the minimal production with just piano and voices is just perfect. I get the same feeling when anneke van giersbergen walks out on stage with within temptation for somewhere..... Utter magic
I expected Amy Lee's powerful vocals to dominate, but she did great being distinctive but always putting just enough power to bring them harmony up a notch. Super impressive.
Are you unfamiliar with Lizzy? She is a powerhouse too. I was kinda thinking she might dominate. Glad that they together simply reached for perfection.
I'm familiar with Halestorm, but generally think of Amy Lee as the more talented of the two. This is not to denegrate Lizzy. It's kinda like comparing Mozart against Beethoven, or Da Vinci with Michelangelo. One being better than the other doesn't stop either from being absolute masters of their craft.
Seeing this as a full recorded song is such a blast from the past and makes my heart swell to see my dream of hearing this duet as an official song coming true right before my eyes. These two are my childhood, and it’s so relieving (especially now with the state of the world) to see the voices that raised me have officially joined forces and made something so significant in the world of rock. I’m almost 17 now and this is the best revival of childhood anyone could ask for. Just stunning.
Esse dueto é um absurdo de maravilhoso! A música terminou, tô escrevendo e ainda tô arrepiado de tanta emoção que elas colocam nas suas vozes perfeitas ♥

I know it was not written this way, but it feels like a love letter to her fans. She can open up to us, and we accept her for who she is. We love her in all her highs and lows. We hold up our lighters high so she can find her way in the darkness.
Anyone else get cold chills when Amy sung here first line?
Yep, I was waiting for her part honestly😅
I waited for Amy's voice and immediately I felt shiver... She's is one of maybe ten in the world
I got chills every time Amy hit her harmonies. Just beautiful.
Every time no matter how many times I hear it.
Me...
Why haven't I seen this before? I'm ashamed of myself.
You two are gifts to this planet.
Damn. Me too, so much late
UA-cam has obviously been holding out on us.
UA-cam has obviously been holding out on us.
Well, it could have been worse - I literally discovered this just _right now,_ whoops.
it takes a lot for me to comment or show emotion, but yet again these 2 ladies have knocked it out of the park, leaving me with goosebumps and a feeling of total awe
As a singer, there's few experiences so amazing as when you're singing well with someone who harmonizes in perfect support like Amy in this track. That take must have felt fantastic!
I've got shivers listening to your voices together. I don't think there are enough words in any languages to describe how good this duet is.
Lzzy and Amy have 2 of the most amazing voices in music period. Not just the rock genre.
There are few people (male or female) from any genre who can hold a note to these two 🖤
You should hear Moriah Formica she has their quality of voice and she's only 19
Best 2 ladies certainly, you have to check out Myles Kennedy
Obviously you never listened to Noa Gruman or Yannis Papadopoulos
The world needs more Lzzy and Amy duets!!! Amazing.
Yes I'd love to see more of them singing together.
4 years has passed. Here I'm listening to it again
Amy Lee voice is hauntingly beautiful everytime... chills when she first comes in!
Especially when she hits with that signature high note, I'm like Oh fuck yeah she still got it
OMFG the harmony at 2:04 !!!!! I got chills. That vibe hit my soul.
I've loved Amy Lee since way back when, she's always been so underrated. I've never thought her voice would match well with another female, but here we are and it's freaking gold! 🖤
She can harmonize with anybody; it’s unreal. She and Veridia have an amazing song as well.
Easily one of the most beautiful songs ever created.
So very beautiful my two favourite ladies xx
Me too!
So beautiful it made me cry. My favourite leading ladies too and their voices together just 😭😍 beautiful
That was a beautiful song and two voice's like that angel's together they should do more together keep rocking hunny ❤ xx
Agree
Hello Gabriel I'm john yes these are two beautiful ladies and amazing voices they should do an album together that would be awesome x
A harmonious masterpiece from two of the greatest voices in rock history.
This is an example of two talented humans who expressed their passion.
1st listen : This is good...
3rd listen : This is awesome...
7th listen : Just perfect song !
It's amazingly baffling how these 2 voices have such different qualities and timbre but harmonize so perfectly together. These are some of the prettiest harmonies I think I've ever heard
Perfection!!!! When are we going to see a Halestorm/Evansecence concert tour?
Yesssss
I'd love to see this. Maybe throw in in the moment or the pretty reckless for an all star ladys of rock show.
they did do one together. but i don't think there will be another live show for about a year.
I’d love it if Halestom and Evanescence did a tour together. ❤️
Paramore, Halestorm, and Evanescence would be an amazing tour! We get the power girls together
Lizzy Hale.... Amazing!
Amy Lee.... Amazing!
The two of them together.... There just aren't words worthy enough 🤯
I concur. They are in a different league of singers. They sound so good together.
2 absolute powerhouses with an AMAZING performance. No auto tune just 2 masters of their craft. Still gives me chills. Can't count how many times I've listened to this.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you have never heard perfect harmonies, you just have. Perfection.
I'm a simple guy, I see Halestorm feat. Amy Lee...I click, watch and love every second of it. Absolutely beautiful duet.
I can't be the only who got emotional from this version...those two together are just 🤯
Your not😊
As I answer this thru tears....🥰
Yessss
I legit cried my eyes out
Your not the only one, I do that's because I'm empathic so I feel more than most can
You can really see the difference between introverts and extroverts here perfectly.
Amy is just standing there chillin', while lzzy is flirting with every air molecule
Classic. " flirting with every air molecule "
*Lzzy is used to keeping her hands occupied with her guitar, that is probably why she looks fidgety here.*
more like natural talent and over the top hand gesturing
@@eksine that’s what she does she gets excited... what else is she gonna do? Not move and look like a zombie statue. Like let her be excited! She’s happy.
Lzzy is me singing along at every concert and at home, lol.
I'm a rock guy and have no words to describe this song. This is just a beautiful well done song...I'm totally speechless. These two ladies are F-ing amazing.
Ur voice flows through the air Flys through the clouds and explodes throughout th e universe ❤❤God Bless ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
1:56 When Amy starts, I get goosebumps.
The best duet I've ever heard. I turned my wife to HALESTORM and EVANESCENCE. She's in love with both bands and she was estatic when I told her about this collaboration duet between the 2. She loves this song. I love my wife. Me and her both turn to music to relax.
This is the way harmony is supposed to sound like
Two of the best strong female vocals I've ever heard!!! ❤ both!!
I still get goosebumps when amy lee starts singing ive missed her and so glad shes back
Halestorm and Evanescence...what a collaboration made for metal music. Both Lzzy Hale and Amy Lee are absolutely incredible vocalists
Put your lighter in the air and lead me back home
When it's all said and done and follow where the air goes
I hear you night after night calling out my name
And I'm finding myself running to meet you
I didn't want to escape
From the bricks that I laid down
You are the only one
The only that sees me
That trusts me and believes me
You are the only one
The only one that knows me
And in the dark you show me
It's perfectly reckless
Damn you leave me defenseless
So break in
Break in
You let me fall apart without letting go
Then you pick up the pieces and you make me whole
I didn't want to escape
From the bricks that I laid down
You are the only one
The only that sees me
That trusts me and believes me
You are the only one
The only one that knows me
And in the dark you show me
It's perfectly reckless
Damn you leave me defenseless
So break in
And take everything I have
Until there is nothing left
Until it's just your voice in my head
And when the lights come on
You see me as I am
You're still inside me
You are the only one
The only that sees me
That trusts me and believes me
You are the only one
The only one that knows me
And in the dark you show me
It's perfectly reckless
Damn you leave me defenseless
So break in
Break in
Put your lighter in the air and lead me back home
I think the line is follow the echos but who knows
Thanks for posting the lyrics!!!
@@ginasottile9747 I agree. Different sites have it printed different, but watch Lzzy sing it.
Seeing Lzzy and Amy Lee perform this live was on my bucket list, and it finally happened this week!! So grateful I was able to make the concert!!
Yes Hayley Williams,Lzzy hale and Amy Lee 3 legendary sounds
I'd love to see a colab with Haley and Lzzy!
they're actually really good friends. there's actually a really cool interview they had together, where they just talk about life and their art, etc. its around 50 mins long too. they talk about the behind the scenes of recording this song too. here's the link if anyone wants to watch: ua-cam.com/video/DF0knD9_kbo/v-deo.html
Amy's vulnerable and velvet smooth voice, coupled with her insane range, perfectly compliments Lizzy's powerful and angry performance. This has been a long time coming.
Wow, this song, their voices. There are tears in my eyes.
This is beautiful.
Same 💞💞💞💞
Don't you love it when a song gives you goosebumps?! Totally brilliant duet. ❤
the producers made them do this until they did it in one take...
Lzzy Hale is probably the best female vocalist of the decade. She can sing, scream, fry, and her range is just insane!! And she sings like that live!!! Brilliant really!
Totally agree!! She sings just like that live. Very rare, she is the real deal!!
@@melissasloan4949 But Amy is the best voice in music in the last 20 years of any genre.
@@ctyreman11 There are so many great vocalists out there. It's a matter of preference. I love them both, but I prefer Lzzy's with her grit.
She's not even the best singer in this song
The positive influences on each others vocals and techniques are stunning.
Hello Pretty 💖
Lizzy Hale has a great rock voice, but who knew it was this beautiful---I had surely no idea....she held her own and then some with the superstar voice that is Amy Lee's.
Have you heard her sing "New York State of Mind"?
Found this by accident and am in awe of what I just experienced?
May God bless you.
There won't be any languages that could describe this incredible duet.. Wowww.. thank you guys.. thank you a billion times
The combination of Lzzy's smokey voice and Amy's clean voice is AWESOME! Their harmonies are BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE when a song gives me chills!

Amy Lee…… that high harmony at the last chorus……wow!!
2 of the best singers on the same track. This is truly a gift to music.
Lzzy's passion when she sings is wonderful. Amy is a goddess. The voices when them harmonize make you vibrate, too much feeling in a song. I'd like to see more songs by these two queens soon ❤️💜
Every hair is standing up and I have wicked chills. Their two voices together are transcendent .
I’m not crying, you’re crying. This is so beautiful 🥺❤️ literally their voices 🥺❤️
They are just a perfect vocal match! Also, I love how Lzzy sings with her hands as much as with her voice! 😂😍
Harmonized so perfect together.
One of the greatest duets I have ever heard. Both compliment each other so well. Need more. A lot more!
Meu coraçao quase paroouuuu!!! Obra primaaaa !! Perfeito demais!!!! Rainhas😍😍😍😍😍😍
vim correndo
I attended his last concert in Madrid. An absolutely incredible live show, a great artist, a unique voice
the most beautiful ballad I've heard today! They are amazing together!! This song is Pure beauty !
Again i blame the music industry. I find this gem on you tube for the first time. Should have heard it multiple times. They don't look for quality anymore.
