Having a "peaceful" character in the game that only interacts with you under certain circumstances is actually a really cool idea. It would be nice to have a character not actually trying to kill you for once

I really like the idea that this guy doesn’t want to kill people. Imagine a new mechanic where Mono and Six have to warn him they’re there and they have to move slowly as he watches.
That's super rad. His introduction could be you were hiding behind something and he gets startled by a rat to show what happens if you scare him. I love the idea that later he is just sitting, sees you and you can't knock over anything
Or you could do it where he is aggressive and every time you get caught in his camera flash the freezing into stone effect happens on the characters
he shows up at random signified by a camera sound elsewhere implying he was startled by something and he is usually on the other side of windows and stuff like that so you must slowly move to avoid startling him

@@NattyNuke Yeah, I've heard about that. Since Little Nightmares 2 was a 'prequel' of the first game, I don't think there's going to be a sequel. But I really, really hope I'm wrong and there's going to be a third game. Even if it won't be a sequel, I hope LN2 wasn't the last game. :(

He doesn’t really sound like a bad guy but rather just a old photographer that gets startled easily and isn’t trying to harm anyone for no reason, he’s a nice guy I guess.

I think the idea of him is super super creative instead of the run of the mill ideas of the characters before

I feel like the Photographer and the Icecream Man could be brothers really. One hides the dead bodies to keep the brother safe while the other regrets and grieves with pain for killing those dead bodies.

Honestly, I could so imagine this guy lurking in the background of little nightmares 2 and maybe even Six and Mono angering him and they have to hide behind objects to avoid getting hit with the camera flash and, y’know, dying
I can kinda see him lurking in the Pale City
Getting caught in the flash alerts every viewer in the area
It would be a great way to reuse the mechanics from the hunter, but then again I think they'd want each character to be original, along with the tactics you're forced to use to evade them
I'd honestly see him taking pictures of the students in one of those big cafeterias in most schools.

What if the photographer does feel remorse. Not only does he keep the pictures, maybe that it why he wears all black. To blend in to the shadows so he DOESNT attract attention 👀😱

Like he needs to take the pictures because that's his way of feeding and staying alive but he doesn't LIKE to do that. (i mean, he has a camera in his mouth, so i think it makes sense).
Thought I'd just share an idea--The Curator.
Someone who runs a museum, keeping it alive and well. The man uses an influence over the temperature to wave away unwanted visitors, turning the surrounding area into a frigid tundra and keeping few guests/employees in the museum with him.
The cold would seem to surround him, as if it were its own existence and not just the lack of heat, and it would bend at his will, allowing him to freeze anything around him to death.
Just my good ol' idea.
If I made a character I would call her "the dancer/ entertainer" a young woman who dreamed of making it on stage. But the events of the world left her disfigured so she wears a mask like the marionette. She ditched her bright tutus and glitters for a dark raggedy tutu, donned in eyeballs. She always did want all eyes on her. The achievement you obtain when she catches you, lights out.
Yes!!! i’d actually design her to still wear her used-to-be lovely outfit for dance, the big , bright tutu, but instead make it look worn out and shredded in areas. I’d make her kinda of like balloras character, she dances around with her eyes closed, but if you make a sound she stops, and stands there for a bit, startling the player, and then runs at you. I’d design her to be a very tall, lean younger looking woman, with very long, unnatural legs.
Yes the attack stuff is exactly what I was envisioning! How she sees you as trying to steal her spot light! Both figuratively and literally, since perhaps one of the view lights left working in the world happens to turn on right as you cross under it.

There could be “The Host,” a late night talk show host who collects bodies to fill his defunct studio, for the show he puts on each night that nobody sees
Or maybe the viewers watch it and that’s what keeps them there. Cool idea!

I can imagine Six and Mono's first encounter with him. The two are hiding from a bunch of Viewers in the Pale City when they hear a camera flash and then silence. When they emerge from their hiding spot, they see a strange figure from the back bending over the bodies of the Viewers, taking something from each of their hands and putting it in his briefcase. When he stands up, he turns around and looks directly at Six and Mono with his souless eyes and grins before vanishing.
Next encounter would take place when the two enter a building leading them into a darkroom covered in developing photos (His segment would be called The Studio). Approaching footsteps are heard and they are forced to hide behind a bunch of jars. The Photographer enters and begins checking his photos, when Mono slips, shattering one of the jars. The Photographer turns around and his jaw begins to unhinge as he lets out a growling cry of rage. Six grabs Mono's hand and helps him up and the two narrowly dive behind a box as the camera flashes.
The chase sequence: Mono and Six would run through a run down film studio all the while being stalked by the Photographer. The only way to survive it to hide behind objects when he takes photos, and running while his jaw unhinges or snaps back into place (He does not walk or pursue while his jaw is unhinged because his eyes are so far back that he can't see)
The Photographer is finally beaten when Six manages to trick the Photographer into taking a photo while Mono holds a mirror, making the Photographer's own camera take the soul of his reflection, killing him.
I imagine the mechanics for an enemy like this would be as follows: once he spots you, he stops and takes a few seconds to unhinge his jaw, giving the player a small amount of time to escape. But, even if you manage to escape, once he has seen you he will chase after you with his camera flashing until either you die, or he physically can't follow you (like if you jump into a vent and climb away from the camera flash.) If you are caught in the flash of his camera at all, you and any other being caught in it instantly die.
These are just my ideas of how the Photographer could fit into the game as maybe part of a DLC, let me know some of your ideas
Bro this is lit, a great way for him to fit into the story is that he take the people's picture and it sucks them in sending them to the signal tower to be consumed and added into the giant monster there.
Quick thing. Wouldn't it be cool if the flashes turn his victims turn into stone, like the light from the first game?

Let you know some ideas eh? Well, how about INSTEAD of chasing after them, he stalks them until they break something in the studio or do something a protogopher (IDK HOW TO SPELL IT MY TABLET'S CORRECTING IS SOOOOO OFF) wouldn't like, THEN he gets mad and when mono and six are almost out of the studio they need to enter a room, then they find the photographer making Grunts and HORRIFYING screams out of anger while they are all in this.. Room, where nobody but the photographer knows about, then the player playing the game realizes that the photographer has been watching them ever since they first encountered him, they then have to hide behind a box of undeveloped photos while the photographer unhinges his jaw then the player has to witness him revealing the camera inside his own mouth, and as the photographer makes his jaw snap back closed, the player has to run towards the photographer then jump through the window, when they land on the floor, six runs ahead as always, while mono is still getting up, while mono gets up, the photographer SOMEHOW appears, opening the door behind mono, and unhinges his jaw again, six does not run too far ahead and instead goes for the pile of photos, at the point that the photographer's jaw starts to open, mono is already up, then mono has to also hide behind the pile of photos, after the flash they continue through the rest of the studio, then finally mono and six reach a room with a mirror, (idk why there's a mirror) six tries to close the door to buy some time while mono climbs as fast as he can to reach the mirror, mono then reaches the mirror and instead of pulling it to fall onto the floor, mono calls out to six, six understands what she has to do and gets in place to catch the mirror, mono then throws the mirror into six's hands, while mono gets down, the photographer opens the door, mono then lures the photographer to unhinge his jaw while facing the mirror, mono than dives behind six while she holds the mirror in place, then BAM! The photographer flashes the camera, Mirror reflects the attack, PHOTOGRAPHER D I E S. END OF CHASE, SIX AND MONO WALK THROUGH THE STUDIO WITH NO MORE STALKER, FIND THE EXIT AND THE E N D.
Here’s my idea :D (Sticking to the whole “Childhood Fear” concept)
“The Diver” (Fear of the Ocean, or Thalassophobia)
Even though The Photographer isn’t exactly hostile, you’ll need him to be in order for you to progress. If you startle him, you’ll have to run away from him, hiding behind obstacles to defend yourself from his camera. As he chases you, you will end up at a beach. You’ll find a rusty submarine which has washed up on the shore. You’ll have to climb up the submarine and get inside it before the Photographer catches you. Once you get in, he’ll start banging on the submarine walls, and will eventually try to climb in. You must find the correct button in the submarine to activate the propellers, shredding the Photographer up. After that, his victims each pop out of his suitcase. Grateful for you saving them, they help push the submarine into the water. If you don’t startle him, you won’t be able to get his victims, and therefore won’t be able to get the submarine into the water.
As you watch out from the windows of the submarine, you see the submarine move. It scrapes across the sand, and drifts off into the ocean. You sink deeper and deeper, until The Diver comes in. He has an old fashioned diving suit, which is covered in seaweed and barnacles. The metal helmet is completely rusty, while the middle of his torso has molded away, revealing his ribcage and spine. The gas tank on his back is crushed into his back, from him diving too deep and having the water pressure crush his suit to his body. He grabs onto the windows of the submarine, and punches one of the windows open. As water floods in, you’ll have to use the water to float up to some diving suits, which are hanged up high inside the submarine. The submarine starts to plummet down, and eventually hits the seabed. A small hole rips open from the crash damage, and Six will signal you to swim outside. You will then have to traverse through the water, while using nearby fish, seaweed, and coral to hide from The Diver, who will be looking for you in the background. His line of sight is indicated by an eerie green light that emits from his helmet. If he catches you, he’ll grab his harpoon, spear you, and drags you down into the depths. In order to defeat him, you must lure a school of carnivore fish towards The Diver. You will scrounge the seabed, looking for bait. However, if you stay too long in the seabed, you’ll be crushed from the water pressure. So, you’ll have to search, then swim back up for a bit so you won’t be crushed. The game will tell you if you need to swim back up if Six won’t follow you, and signals you to swim back up. Another indication of this are edges of the screen darkening, and the screen blurring. you look hard enough, you’ll find a dead fish buried underneath the sand. You and Six will then crawl inside the dead fish, controlling it from the inside. You’ll grab the attention of a nearby school of fish, and then will have to swim from them before they eat you. However, you will be handed new controls. The button you use to call Six will now be used to propel the fish forwards, instead of the regular WASD or thumb stick. You will move up and down like you usually do, though. You will swim through multiple different caves, until you come across The Diver again who will be searching for you in the foreground. You will have to swim inside of The Diver’s helmet, and leave the dead fish inside it. The school of fish will then swarm around The Diver and devour him. When they finish, he’ll be nothing more than bones. The school of fish hovers around the body for a bit, then wanders off. You will then swim back up to the surface, and find driftwood floating around you. You and Six will create a small, crude boat out of the planks and float away to a nearby shore.
*The Diver Backstory/ Personality*
He was once a regular diver, until The Entity came. He escaped their control by swimming into the ocean depths. However in his haste, he swam too deep and was crushed by the water pressure. His mangled body floated onto the surface, which was eventually found by The Entity. They brought him back to life, as a servant.
He is a very calm, but bipolar man. He has little to no patience, and can turn on a dime. Although he might take things to the extreme in his work, he is very efficient. When he is working towards an objective, nothing else matters to him. Food, water, and sleep all become mere words in his brain. He will search to the ends of hell to find you, and he’ll finish his job. One way, or another.

I like to think that every time he takes a picture of someone he traps them inside, to never escape again. That or a smile is permanently planted on the face of the person, like they are always ready for a picture
Yeah!! I think it would be so cool!!! like the photos turn the victims mouth into a smile, but like only their mouth, i think it would look so freaky if you can see the fear in their eyes and how they were obviously caught off-guard, but they always have unsettling smiles.
He should make one called “The (school) nurse” cuz we know it's a nightmare when all she does is give you an ice pack.

The Icecream man description I guess: The icecream man used to be a kid being bullied in high school for his bad grades. All of his peers laughed and said “you’ll never get a good job” one said “Yeah go work at an icecream shop, you dumb student!” Which he tried to do but failed at that. His anxiety and insecurities got the best of him, locking himself in his room reading but understanding nothing. Now despising the bodies of children thinking they are the ones who insulted him, but finding out they are not them he throws them away never to be seen again but nobody knows where.
To tell you why he
teleports from place to place is because so he can suppress his insecurities of not having a real job but never fills that hole.
How you beat him: find a job for him, duh.

Plot twist: Ace of Clay is the person who made the characters for Little Nightmares 1 and 2

The Mechanic and his dog
you arrive inside of a workshop, theres tons of tools and broken metal objects, you find him working on a engine
He has 4 arms, 2 are working on the engine, and the others are grabbing tools and wires. his shap is normal looking, until he turns around (after you hide under the car)
His face is abnormal, he has 3 eyes, no nose, and razor sharp teeth, (they are metal) his ears are mangled, and his left one is barely recognizable.
He throws sharp tools at you if he sees you, with sharp accuracy. you get to kill him by dropping the car on him (you run underneath, he follows and chases you, and you grab the tool holding the car up, and drop it on his body)
it would be a kinda short chapter, you would have 3 chase scenes (the start, when your on the shelves, and when you run under the car)
you would also have 2 puzzles ( one would be unlocking the door to the bedroom [he lives inside his shop] and the other would be figuring out how to kill his pet [its a mangled dog] )
the dogs appearance will be up to them, but i would like to see [Mangled ears, half nose, realllyyyyy long tounge, sharp teeth, and its extremely fast.]
you drop an entire tool box on its head, after you run and climb up some drawers in the living quarters you push it off, and kill the dog. The Mechanic is alerted, and you hide under the bed (or in the drawer) he is extremely angry, and is now actively searching for you. He reaches under beds, opens drawers, and even flips tables. After you kill him, a shelf falls and you get the key to the exit (climb a nearby shelf and jump to unlock the door)
I'm going to throw in a Little Nightmares story for how this would play out:
After narrowly escaping the Ice Cream Man, Mono and Six find themselves in 'The Studio', where the walls, ceiling and floors are covered with photos. As they sneak around, the Photographer is there. He walks around to a room where he develops the photos, that Mono and Six have to navigate. He spots them as they leave and chases them into a vent. Note that if he takes a picture of you, Mono turns to stone. As you continue to explore, he sneaks around to try and find them. If he catches them, he kills them. He moves slowly. He lives: Mono and Six are able to find their way to a final chase, where they find themselves in a room with a mirror and a TV. The photographer is too scared of the room to enter, and the two leave through a window.
He dies: same setup, but the mirror has a curtain on it. As Six holds the door in place, Mono pulls the blanket off. Six opens the door, and the flash briefly covers the screen. When its gone, he's been transformed into a statue.

Idea: the actor
Behavior: the actor is able to dress up and act as different enemies you have encountered so far and can be one of the final enemies in the game.
Defeat: mono and six start filming the actor with a tape reel and the actor is frozen in place
Setting: an abandoned movie theater with different movie posters that can reference other enemies or setting in different games.
Story: mono and six enter the abandoned theater and walk past the ticket stand where a body is sitting. They enter the snack area and have to use a vent near the popcorn machine in order to get away from the actor dressed up as the Polaroid. They come out in a movie seating room where the actor is dressed up as the ice cream man and patrols the room. Mono and six use the projector to stun the actor before running away. Soon they find themselves in the storage room where the actor in her original form hunts them, soon mono and six enter a vent and escape but the actor gives chase and follows them into a room where mono and six use a projector to keep her stunned as they escape through the back door

I honestly think this is a good idea but there is a missed opportunity, instead of dying with your picture in your hand, you get sucked into the photo and stay there in his suitcase with the rest of the people he has captured, other than that everything else works well
I guess in the way ace describes it, the photographer literally takes your soul out of your body and turns it into the picture that ends up in your hand. While the whole concept of you getting sucked into the photo is cool, I feel like it’s overdone and predictable. Where as aces version of it is that instead of the photographer keeping a suitcase full of captured people, it’s a suitcase full of souls.

Be the best version of herself. Who could love something that can't be exactly what they want? She is seen rocking back in forth in her rocking chair, humming a song from the radio. Perhaps she is a victim of The Thin Man? Who knows. I haven't thought out a lot, lol.

What if the Photografer is so shy, because he knows he'll most likely get startled in social situations and he doesn't want to risk killing anyone, so he tries to avoid people, but because he's so worried about acidentally killing someone he gets startled easier?

I have a cool idea of a character. I call him the Cartoonist. He has a large waist, long arms, a round head, and long arms. He’s body is similar to a rubber hose character. He wears gloves, obviously, large boots, pin stripped pants that are over his waist, suspenders, and a large red tie. He has a huge smile and huge eyes with Pac-Man pupils. I don’t have much of a backstory for him but I think he’d look pretty cool.

Kind of like a very disturbing Pied Piper.

I got an idea for some characters.
Its a family of four that have
-Mom
-Dad
-Older sister
-Younger brother
Now lets start with the mom:
The entire family has a few things in common, being a light saturated blue skin and a large smile covered their entire face. All of them have black hair and that's all in common.
The Mom wears a dirty white dress with a small hat that has a white ribbon on it. She always has her hair in a bun and a pin in her bun. She owns a small clothing store named 'Delightful Clothing' which might explain why all of her clothing her family wears are also sold in her store.
The Dad is almost never seen, only after a long day of work. He wears a black suit and a large dirty white tie. He often has a slanted stance from always working. He wears yellow gloves for unknown reasons. He works until before his kids wake to after dinner. And sometimes he works for longer, like much longer.
Older Sister is her Mom, but make it look younger. She has her hair down always instead of in a bun. She wears no hat and a ribbon around her waist makes it seem way to small for a human. She loves to play with her younger brother and often looks after him while her mom is away making clothing.
Last but not least, Younger Brother. The Younger Brother looks like a young toddler. He wears a small red shirt with a eye on it. He also has a rag on his- *parts* because he hasn't learned how to use the bathroom correctly yet. He is very observant. He almost always sees any form of player.
A bonus is the dog Trooper lol

How about "The Exterminator" he wears a yellow hazmat suit and an old WW2 esque gas mask. He makes deep breathing noises due to the gas mask, he also has a poison gas tank strapped to his back with a tube connected to his gas gun. He lives in his lab wear he makes his poison, the lab also has mouse traps set down. He kills things because he see's anything smaller than him as "pests".

I like the thought that when he opens his mouth, he almost has to brake his jaw and the light within the flash of the camera will vanish you into the world of the lens, it reminds me of Pennywise for some reason ahah. Overall very creative and beautiful sculpting yet again!

Cool idea for a clay model, the Husk Maker, a creature that makes masks and suits(skin) out of dead creatures that the hunter sends to him for all of the doctors creations to wear, then the back story is that him, the Hunter and the doctor didn't have skin or faces so they decided to make it there dedicated job to make those things and then when the Doctor had to make living manikins, the doctor gives life, the Hunter gives the materials needed to make the suits, and the Husk Maker gives them there look. He is covered in stitches, has no mouth, large white eyes. In one of his hands is a needle and thread and in the other is a pare of large scissors, has a very stumpy look and has small legs and somewhat long arms, like the janitor but not as long and his legs are a bit longer
I think he would be found somewhere in the school (if it was ever picture day or if they even have picture day) and would probably be one of the most important roles
I would love to see one of these that is an old grandma that is in a wheel chair and originally seems mostly harmless, but then you find out that she is actually just a disguise that another smaller monster person wears the skin of. So when you get close the smaller monster person crawls out and grabs you.

Here is an idea of a little nightmare character:
The Constructor.
This entity is a man that seems to have multiple knees and elbows giving him the ability too stretch his arms and legs so he can reach higher places. The down fall to this is that it is excruciatingly painful for the Constructor and so he lets out a blood curdling scream every time he does so he usually tries to maintain a certain length. The Constructor seems to have a hard hat with a light, this light seems too turn anything living into stone like the eyes on the maw. This light sometimes flickers off and on by itself giving brief moments to its victims to run. He tends to hang around broken buildings too fix them. When it comes to getting cement for bricks it seems to spit out a substance that is very similar to cement and it uses this same substance to make the bricks. It seems to also wear overalls that are very tattered and shows a massive cut on the Constructor’s belly where he seems to take larger amounts of the same substance he uses to make cement and bricks to throw at anyone he sees if his light doesn’t work
When you get caught the achievement could be

So, a series now?
Oh boy-
Absolutely in love with this guy. But I think my ultimate fave thing is the snake + shark smash of a mouth and how it shows even the parted jaw of the snake. It also it’s clearly snake inspired when closed! I’m just *chefskiss* in love with that design choice.
The story of this guy is also so compelling, I think it’s the sadness of it. He doesn’t actually wanna hurt anyone but just one spook and you’re done.
something that could happen is that he isn't trying to be hostile or anything, but his intention is to "save" the people he takes pictures of. He has a studio where he hangs the photos, and the photos could be apart of some sort of puzzle. There could be hints around the studio to him wanting to save people, like writings on the walls or something like that.
A puzzle that could be cool is finding a way to hitch a ride on his back without him knowing or something so you can avoid the other antagonists on another path. It could be like two paths you could take that have different outcomes.
I just like the idea of a character in the little nightmares universe that doesn't want to kill or hurt the mc. Nothing like the mc and the photographer becoming best friends (because that is unrealistic), but more like allies with a common goal.
I love the idea that he's harmless unless provoked- like, you just see him reading your fridge and be like "oh, hi ted" and keep walking
or you have guests and say "oh just ignore him, would you like something to eat?"
That's kind of weird to say too but that would make sense
Here are some random ideas I had! The dentist, the puppeteer, the doorman, the lighthouse keeper, the seamstress, the taxi driver, the teacher’s pet, the school nurse, the musician, and the bug collector! Feel free to use any of these! ^w^
The Bug Collector in my mind would be a person who seems to have mutated to several of his insects and has a distorted twisted insect body with many compound eyes, mandibles, and even multiple insect like limbs. He would have a greenhouse like area where he keeps his bugs but all the plants would have rotten away or been devoured by his insects. He’s very fast but his body is big and awkward so he can’t fit into most tight spaces. He also can spit acid at Mono from a distance.
As you progress through the area the bughouse would eventually become more and more grotesque until it becomes a full on nest filled with hundreds of insects and covered in a sticky goo the Bug Collector secretes. The floor would become sticky making Mono and Six walk slower and unable to jump until they exit the sticky parts. This would make the chases with the Bug Collector even more tense as you have to slowly run from the creature as it chases you. You would so have to deal with the Bug Collectors insect offspring which would be the minor enemies of the location.
Eventually Mono and Six reach the end but are confronted by the Bug Collector one last time who would climb on the walls and ceilings while chasing them. Near the exit is a bottle of pesticide which the big collector accidentally knocks over while chasing Mono. The pesticide will leak out and the Bug Collector, trapped and stuck in a tight spot would suffocate while screaming. Then Mono and six would leave the bughouse using a nearby tv, the Bug Collectors corpse still able to be seen.

Ok this is so cool! My head is bursting with gameplay ideas. Like clearly he kills you with a flash of his mouth camera, which means he only needs line of sight, which is frightening. And maybe there could be some kind of mechanic that deals with exposure, like trick him into taking a picture of a really bright light to stun him or something. You really nailed the theming with this one, even more so than your other little nightmare designs imo!
Little nightmares 3 charicter idea: "The Pound Keeper" He owns a pound in the city of pale city, he roams the streets, collecting dogs and other pets that are stray. Once he captures the stray, he locks them up and puts them in the pound.
"The Pet Catcher" would be more suiting. and he could also pick up smaller characters like Six and Mono, seeing them as pets. and you have to be caught by him and escape the pound but the dogs try to eat you like the bullies do

The concept is so cool, and I love the interchangeable heads. I also really like that the briefcase can still move even though it's been baked with the clay, it makes it seem more realistic, in a way, since gravity can affect it.
I just wish that the hands were the same grey as the heads; I feel like visually it would have broken up the piece a bit more instead of so much of the same black in the clothes.

The Maiden (Alternatively The Widow)
Every night the Maiden goes out looking for her true love. Down the streets she walks and will appear randomly in dark cities on stormy nights, weeping. It is thought that she has been widowed several times and is always on the look out for her next lover. You may catch a glimpse of her at your window sill, or across the road. But never approach her.
If approached, the Maiden will let out an ear piercing wail, louder than thunder, and shriller than a dog whistle. Dashing and flailing around frantically and shaking with an unknown emotion, her wails will leave you mad in the brain. However, if you are far enough, you may be lucky to survive with permanent deafness.
Idea I had: The Soldier. He doesn't have a gun but for a good reason, because the part of his legs underneath his knees are gone (Blown off by a landmine) and his hands have knives for fingers (Fingers were mutilated) So he crawls around with his knive hands, and has bad periferall vision because he has a thin cloth covering his face, which if seen underneath, you can see a slashed bloody mess. He works at a slaughterhouse and when caught he will grab you, or if you're unlucky just stab you to the ground. At the end you trick him into stepping into a conveyor belt and he falls into a meat grinder. He is very fast and can crawl on walls unless they are of metal surfaces or something else like that, his hearing is not the best though considering a landmine exploded his legs. You can see him crawling around the slaughterhouse cutting up meat, and potentially you if you aren't careful.

I'm not sure if maybe others have pointed this out already, but I just watched some gameplay of a Little Nightmare inspired game called "Obusite" and, well the "monster" there is pretty much your Photographer (turning kids into a photography)! I thought you'd want to know because it looks kinda cool! :D
May I make a suggestion for a character? ‘The Author’. Essentially, a tall, thin figure of a man, with a twisted spine, and blank, emotionless face. Alike Slenderman, he has no facial features, but still wears cracked, circular-rimmed glasses partially covered by his inky black hair. His clothing seems to be a polo shirt and tie, combined with high-waisted striped trousers and belt, and his fingers are replaced with pencils, for maximum writing capacity. His backstory is that he was warped by the Signal Tower, and now writes down stories that have a similar effect to the mind-warping power of the Signal Tower. But, away from his home, he walks around the streets with a notepad and pen, and captures small children to take home. He uses the children as characters in the books, and then sends them to other superior characters. He uses a rusty old typewriter to create his stories, and the paper he uses seem to be made of human skin. I don’t have the resources to create this character, but would really like to see it come to fruition.

Description
She is a humanoid mutant but isn’t as lanky as the photographer and ice cream man, she wears a large red conductor’s hat which obscures most of her face with the exception of a set of 2 blue eyes along with a red dress that seems to be more for a ball or dance, she carries a small brown satchel that witness say holds tickets toys and a red handkerchief
Behaviour
Mostly observed at rush hour, usually when only a hand full of people are at a certain station, when she is to “manifest” a very worn down old Victorian style steam train arrives at the station that has 3 carriages, she will be within the 2nd carriage stand to the side awaiting your arrival.
During the trip the windows will be completely blacked out and seem as if you are in a tunnel, roughly after 30 minutes after departure, the conductor will begin to travel between the carriages asking those on them for their ticket to ride, if they present their ticket she will use a small hole puncher to create a small glowing spot on the persons ticket, her eyes will make a expression akin to that if she were smiling, those who refuse or don’t have a ticket their carriage will go completely black and they will only see her blue eyes next thing they know she has squeezed them completely dry their blood recolouring her hat and dress, she is known not to do this to children however and can be seen actually taking care of them sometimes providing snacks drawing materials and even toys, those who have presented their tickets will then arrive to their destination within 10 minutes as the door opens it will be directly to the exact area of where they want to be and each time a group goes through it will close and open to location for the next group, once all groups have gone to their destination the doors will close permanently and the train will move again and demanifest

An alternative idea to the photographer could be that he seeks the most photogenic people or people in nice surroundings where u could take a nice photo like at a sunset or on the cliffs etc and he trys to take ur picture. You could then use the idea of dying and having a Polaroid he keeps ? If that makes sense. This would work as alot of the monsters in little nightmare are aggressive like the victims in LN2 being aggressive when they dont have tv on or six when her toy gets damaged. The photographer could of been employed or worked with the lady in LN1 that wanted to get rid of all attractive people
The way you said “he will take your picture and then you’ll be done for” makes me think of a really good horror movie I watch once called Polaroid
Dude this gave me an idea for my own character
So my character idk what to call her yet so I’m just gonna call her photo lady. Photo lady works at a hotel that ‘The photographer’ happens to be lurking in at the moment. She spots him from across the room and stars asking if he needs any help because he is the only one in the lobby at the moment. Obviously startling him he does he takes a photo of her. When he looks back at her she’s standing there, still smiling, but now her eyes are all white and her blonde hair has now turned a purple-ish brown color. “Wow!,” she says “I’ve never met someone like you before!”
Looks like ‘The photographer’ has a new friend.
She wears a black dress shirt with a slightly lighter pencil shirt and black heels. She has dirty blonde hair and dark green eyes. Her skin is pretty pale almost like a vampire.
She is relatively harmless in person but if she appears somewhere she is not, there is no escape from fate.
She normally appears in the backgrounds of photos but on the rare occasion she appears next to you or someone else, she will take your soul and make you her slave to do whatever she pleases. But if you are lucky enough to have her in the background you will only experience terrible luck for however long she wishes. Really isn’t lucky at all is it? The time and amount of bad luck depends on how she feels about you. If there is a strong dislike towards you, it’s possible you will have terrible luck for the rest of your life even to the point of suicide or murder.
If she doesn’t dislike you that much you will only have a week or so of bad luck.
She chooses her victims carefully but no one knows exactly how or why she choose certain people.
Just the best kind of fan design, truly meshes with the game's style without being anything they've done before and totally your own! I love the contrast of personality as your mind interprets the "face" as so human, goofy and grumpy when the mouth is closed but something totally cold and alien when open!

Honestly, I'm casually rewatching these cause I love just picturing how each of these characters would interact with Mono and Six. Like I can just picture Mono or Six yelling out softly to warn him and then having to either walk past him or walk with him to the other side of the room etc. Ugh I love these characters so much

This looks amazing! I can’t wait to see what the series will go to next. I think it would be cool to have a principal that would tie in with the story of the Teacher. Also, I think it would be amazing if you sculpted your own “little person” to go with these characters.

@Sheena Hoffert i think your confusing the thin mans early concept sketches with a principle character. Those arent sketches of a principle character concept instead they were eralier sketch designs of mono transitioning to thin man, or just thin man

Ooooh I got an idea “The Giant.”
This guy’s trapped underground and only his arm is sticking out of the ground. He is big as a colossal titan from aoc so you can imagine how gigantic his arm is. He feels the ground around him and if he feels something, he clobbers it.
My eyes fluttered open, groaning as I lifted my head, giving my watch a side glance as I sighed, "One AM, great," I rubbed my eyes as I blinked, looking to the shadows, those damn white walls, always gave me the creeps. No scratches except for the old etches the mental patients had put on there decades ago. That's when I heard it, the sound of an old polaroid lens, then a soft thud and quiet murmuring.
I raised my brow as I pushed myself up, my wheeled chair drifting off behind me as I began traversing the halls. "Markus?" I called, squinting into the shadows as I sighed, "C'mon, you know it's lights out, can't be up this late, man."
I rounded the corner, a gasp escaping my throat as Markus lie there, his corpse askew, an old polaroid photograph in his hand. I knelt down, brows knitted as I reached for the photograph. But before my fingers even made contact with the strange death omen, an ashen gray hand rushed from the shadows, snatching the photograph from sight.
My heart stopped in my chest as I scrambled back, "Jesus!" I yelped, back colliding against those damn white walls. That's when again, I heard the quiet murmurs.
"No more angels left in heaven," The shadows whispered as I took a step back.
"No more souls left for hell," Again, the murmurs came from the shadow as I reached for my phone.
I raised the phone to the open door, my hands shaky as I pressed my thumb against the camera button.
SNAP!
A flash of light, then darkness, but that was all it took.
In the brief moment of light, there was a figure, his nose hooked, his eyes mournful and dazed, his skin battered, an odd grey, the same color of the shade.
Before I knew it, the creature's jaw unhinged, and all I ever saw again, was a flash of light, then darkness.
Once again the design inspired me to do a little writing, lol

You should try to sculpt your own take on Quasimodo! There's dozens of adaptations that you could get inspiration from!
I’ve never watched you before but I got this video in my recommendations because I am a huge and I mean HUGE little nightmares fan and I gotta say you did an awesome job! If/when a third game comes out, the photographer would definitely be an amazing addition to it. I, too have some little nightmares monster ideas.
I know nobody cares but for example, one of my ideas is the lumberjack. He wears old, worn out clothes and large brown boots. His skin is a darkish grey color and he wears a hat made of different animal skins that covers half his face, making it hard for him to see. He is friends with the hunter in the second game and they hunt together when the lumberjack isn’t busy chopping wood. He is located in the same forest that we meet the hunter in. We encounter him before the hunter us killed and before they spot Mono and Six. The first time you encounter him you can see him chopping down a tree with a large axe. You have to sneak past him and hide behind logs when crows make noise. After the crows make noise and you are behind the log the lumberjack will turn around quickly and sprint towards you, faster than any of the monsters. He will look around the large log you are behind and you have to quietly move around it to avoid getting caught. If he catches you, he will grab you and chop you in half with his axe and then use your skin as an addition to his hat. He also has other ways to kill you, like if he sees you or hear you in the distance he will cut a tree down and it will crush you. Or he will throw you in a hole in a tree and a deformed squirrel or bird will tear you apart and then give your skin to the lumberjack so he can use it in his hat. All the monstrous animals in the forest are like his minions, they will do whatever he says at all times. If the lumberjack sees you in the distance and is to tired to run after you, he will do nothing but point at you and a hundred monstrous animals will attack you. He kills anything that looks normal. The second time you see him is in his house, similar to the hunters cabin. He is sitting on a chair and staring at the pitch black wall of his bedroom that his father had put on there to mock his blindness. The walls are covered in white eyes and while his sitting in the chair in the room, he has his head down on a desk in front of him. You have to sneak past him once again and in the other room you will step on a creaky wooden plank and he will start chasing after you. You have to run through his house and jump out a window to escape him.
I was bored so I typed this out even though literally nobody cares. Have a nice life, person who actually took their time to read all this.
There could be one called “the toy shop man” who works in an old and mostly unvisited toy shop in the pale city. His shop used to be very popular before everything changed and he had many customers. Due to the twisted concepts of children’s fears and enjoyments, mono + six are drawn to the shop as normal children would because it contains a vast array of toys and games.
Now, due to the corrupted and warped world that it has become, he has turned part toy. He is still partly a disfigured human, but is also part clockwork. He winds himself up from time to time and although he is still part human, he over time loses energy and needs to ‘recharge’ by winding up the clockwork again. He has a large smile and twinkling eyes, which twitch every now and again like a faulty toy would. He wears shiny black shoes, a red and white stripy shirt which is tucked into high waisted brown trousers, held up with brown braces. On the shirt he also wears a large red bow tie, which spins round slowly and has a sort of hypnotic effect on mono/six, allowing the toy shop man to be able to catch them - mimics the charming and welcoming affect of a normal toy shop owner has on children mesmerised by their toys.
His shop (where the level would be played) is riddled with traps and obstacles. He is able to make certain toys come to life, and uses them to try and catch mono/six. For example, teddy tears slowly chase after them and jack-in-the-boxes suddenly jump out and grab them etc. It is also quite cluttered and full of shelves and tables with toys so hard to manoeuvre and navigate around. Some shelves for instance also come crashing down as another obstacle.
You can defeat him by somehow breaking or disrupting the clockwork on his back. This makes him unable to ‘recharge’ and therefore after a while runs out of energy and runs down, finally stopping. Easier said than done however. :)
Ooooh.... He's so cool! He reminds me of that old legend about photos taking parts of your soul.... Creeeepy!

I really hope the makers of Little Nightmares are watching. I'd love to see these creations brought to life. They absolutely awesome.
