I love him!!
I am obsessed with mantis and his abilities are realy similar to mantis in general: the ability to becoming invisible it's like the fact that mantis are similar to the location the live (like the orchid mantis) and the ability of clone himself is like some mantis, like the stick mantis, that are only female, they "reproduce themselves" like bacterias. (sorry for the bad English but i'm italian)

I’ve kinda got a possible idea for a mutant
The actress: she’s kinda like mystique and can shape-shift into anyone she sees, she can even mimic the voice and personality of the person she’s acting as. In her normal form she’s a beautiful lady in a red dress, however one thing Mars her beautiful face, that being the dozens of eyes, noses, and mouths from the people she’s mimicked. She uses he shape shifting ability to lure people to her by mimicking lost loved ones. I hope you like my idea enough to take it into consideration when making your next mutant!

I like the idea that he's really lonely so he hangs out with you and gives you hugs. But eventually his hunger gets too much and he eats you mid hug.

The Mantis looks so creepy and I love him! I had an idea for a mutant: The Cheshire.
The Cheshire is from the darkest realm of the mutantverse similarly to the Mantis. The Cheshire's form resembles that of a cat, it uses a high pitch sound to trick humans into seeing it as a harmless tabby cat. Once it has gained their trust and they let their guard down, it reveals the last thing they'll ever see. It's true form. It's mouth stretches from ear to ear reveal rows of knife like teeth, it's disjointed and fractured bones can be seen beneath it's paper thin skin and it's claws scrape along the ground as it moves. It's most striking feature, what draws it's victims to it initially, are it's eyes. Two sapphire eyes shimmer like diamonds catching the attention of anyone near it. It is not known why this creature hunts humans or what happens to the remains. Perhaps it hunts for sport or out of boredom. Only the Mantis knows the truth.
Honestly, This is amazing one and hopefully it comes in the future.

i'm really liking the theme you've got going with this "darkest tier" of mutants. what about like a canine inspired one, like a monstrous wolf? or maybe some kind of massive creepy-crawly centipede type thing, like the spirit Ko from The Last Airbender.
I like this guy. He’s cool, but he also only attacks if he’s hungry or mad. Which is quite chill compared to the other mutants
I love it when the sculpture's body and position allow you to create them without the need of a base to support them. It looks so much better and a lot more realistic!

I can confirm smaller is scarier. My mother was 4ft 6, she terrified me and I'm only 4ft 10. Bugs are scary but my mother, she'd give this series' mother a run for her money in the evil stakes
Before detailing the legs, the legs of this mantis kind of looks like the Whos from Dr Seuss 🤣 it was funny to see the top half look all messed up and skinny and the bottom half to be a who.

Hear me out! How about a 4th tier called ‘the dark deity’ reserved for one entity: the sculptor. Little is known about the sculptor, many dont even believe he exists. It is said that the sculptor created the mutants long ago. It would basically be a mutated version on Ace of Clay.

Doodle dan is a doodle, it usually appears in files of work or more. For such as if the person opens the file and reveals the entire paper with the doodle, it will get angry and crawl out of the paper and kill its prey.

--> He/she is so lonely in this world that it collects every 'friend' it can find. Watch out that it doesn't see you. If he/she noticed you and can't grab you, it'll scream and lure another boss to help him/her.

--> In a room where a man can't budge, his shadow can still follow you. Watch out for dark places... it's there where the shadow can crab you within seconds.

--> Occasianally you'd spot him running around in the distance, mostly working. But if he where to spot you, he'd ask for you to buy something. You'd have only a certain amount of time to find an item to give to you and you would get something in return.

--> The mechanic crawls on four limbs. That way he can crawl under stuff to get you and has a monkey (to symbolize the monkey wrench).

They only attack when you know their true identity. The result will be your death, but with your eyes gouged out and tongue cut off. The best way to say it is as "you don't need eyes since you cannot see true beauty at first glance and you won't need the tongue to tell the tale of the most beautiful of them all"

If you win, they have to hide. When you find them you have to kill them as fast as you can before the time's up. During this time, there will be a little clock at the corner if the screen to show you how much time you have left.

I started making my own mutants because of this series. Can't thank you enough! You're such a talented sculptor! But also this one really scared me because I have trypophobia.
This is one of my faves so far I like that he is simple yet complicated.
Idea: The Collector
The Collector resides in the Dark Layer, along with The Photographer. He is seen wearing a black hat and cloak, and carries a staff with a peculiar gem in it. The gem has the power to draw in any who see it. It’s strange purple glow is a mystery, however those who see it become intrigued and follow it. The Collector will first be seen in public places like town centres or near stores, but he knows when someone sees his gem and he walks to dark corners or alleyways. Here he will hold the gem in front of him, and the glow will illuminate one specific part of the victims body. The entity that controls him, along with the others knows that this lit up part of the body is the one it needs... The Collector will brutally tear off the body part and leave the victim to die. The Collector will take off his hat to reveal an endless hole where he will shove the body part. It is said that anyone who takes off his hat will see thousands of limbs and heads, trying to climb out, but it will be the last thing they see...

The Mantis sort of reminds me of The Rake mixed with a necromorph from Deadspace. (Also you are an amazing sculptor!)
He's not just creepy, he's extra creepy! I would definitely not want to run into him in a dark alley!
How about a humanoid creature who is peaceful towards humans and can even help them by giving them special abilities. And she was taken by the thing that controls all of the monsters but was able to refuse it's control.

You should sculpt a character that’s an artist how had his own sculptures come alive and went mad of gilt from creating the monsters. In the end he made a self portrait sculpture and became one of his own monsters.😝

"The maid" she's a maid obviously, and she lives in a mansion where another creature live or own it but you don't know them yet. She has this long black hair that goes up in a bun. She has a straight figure and polite manner but she has a secret....

Having watched Ace of Clay for years at this point I gotta compliment you for your sylistic change, your cartoon-y sculptures are amazing but your step into highly detailed and textured creations is very impressive. Well done on another amazing sculpture.
i just discover this channel like twelve hours ago, and all I could think was "this guy needs to get into making SCPs." Im glad he did! hes clearly very good at making monsters and composing cool background lore.

I've had two ideas for little nightmares, for kids i mean. i made a girl and a nonbinary kid named Foxtrot and Toychest . both are survivors of a mass feast where mutants and twisted humans went to eat captured children but both managed to escape before they where eaten as well. Toychest use to live in hiding in a twisted little girls room playing pretend and acting as a doll to survive while Foxtrot Lived in an abandon zoo trying to lay low and help as many people as she could.
I cant wait for a good realm creature, but this series is getting so good

Ideas: You would find the Mantis in a sort of woods with broken and fallen down trees. The mantis would feed on unfortunate humans that come wandering into his woods, and when humans aren’t anywhere nearby, he’ll eat animals like wolves, bears or insects. The Mantis kills by using his two arms to stab his prey in the stomach and rip it into two pieces. Despite its lack of ears and nostrils, the Mantis has amazing hearing, smell and sight, hence its cousins two large eyes, the praying mantis.
Story:
You stalk through the woods in search for your friends campsite. You carry a flashlight with low battery, and a half empty backpack. As you wander through the woods, your flashlight seeks out a pool of blood near a fallen tree. Right as you flash light near the blood, you see a purple blur flash across the spotlight.
It is completely silent.
You assume it’s your imagination, and continue to search for your campsite. Another pile of gore is found in a blank clearing, trees and bushes surrounding it. There is a pathway leading out of it, and you decide to follow it. That is when you see another blur of purple flash across your eyes. Like before, it has no sound at all. At the end of the pathway, you find a campsite. At last, you have found your friends, but the tents have been ripped and fallen down. You turn, and see a pile of human bones sitting just before your eyes. The rustling of leaves sound from behind you. You turn and see the purple blur again, this time clearer.
It’s a long-legged creature with neon-yellow eyes and praying mantis like blades for arms. You drop your backpack and run as fast as you can. You have to make it out of here. You cant hear a single thing, and then you trip on rock before getting right back up again. In the distance, you see light. Maybe you can make it out alive. But, you feel a stab of pain in your back. The creature has caught you. It prepares to aim another blade at you, but just before it can, the light you thought was the last light you’d see, gets closer. It’s a car. A loud honk comes from it, causing the creature to shriek and run away. You hear familiar voices.. "Hey, are you ok?" The voice asks. And then you realize that these are your friends. They come up to you, pulling you up. You talk about seeing the creature, and the pools of blood, and the pile of bones. The friends claim to have seen what you saw, and they tell you that one of their friends was eaten by the creature. You don’t respond. Your friend smiles and says. "Let’s go home."
That is seriously creepy. I love it.
That texture though... beautiful... desiccated... love love love it
Your mutant are calling out to be made into a mutant clay game... love them all... your creations are awesome
this is the most interesting mutant in story, abilities and design imo, not to creepy tho but still creepy.

I feel like when you break for a backstory it's always very sudden. I really liked your sculpture. This was my favorite one in the series so far.
Id really love to see a super bright mutant, almost neon. I think it would be really cool.

Just loving this series.. a suggestion to maybe expand, you could have a 4th tier to your realm which consists on protector characters which look after us poor humanoids!
He's awesome! I'd like to see maybe a little iridescent paint dry brushed on in some areas, sort of like he's "bending" the light to become invisible...

I love how it turned out!! Thought he texture looked like it was gonna be red and oozing, like the skin is always rotting off and the muscle is showing through. Maybe the lower on energy he gets, the more oozes out of him. Like you never see him, you only see signs of where he’s been.
Idk, those were my thoughts. Again, love the story and love how he turned out!

It's absolutely amazing to me how you manage to get such an intricate and detailed paint job with what are essentially dollar store acrylics. Not sure if that speaks to the quality of your work as a sculptor, painter or both. Either way, your work is amazing! I am loving this series and channel so far. Keep up the good work, my guy! ✌️💚

So I’m sure this has been said, but you have such an awesome grasp of anatomy. Which I feel is even more important with exaggerated features and stylized characters, since you have to know exactly what to exaggerate or what to leave alone. Binging this series and loving it!
