Is that some new Alluvial we’re hearing in the background? Sounds gnarly. Also, any plans for a 7 set? Was thinking about getting it with a Sentient, but I might wait if there’s a Jupiter 7 neck in the works.
@@zackcoffmanguitar I asked for the SET. I know there is a Jupiter 7 bridge pickup. I wanted to know if there are plans to offer it with a paired 7 string neck pickup (you know, as a PICKUP SET) like the 6 string one.
@@krisrhebergen If you mean just putting the same pickup in both positions, thats different than using a neck pickup thats made for that position. Neck pickups generally have lower output to compensate for the higher amplitude of the strings above them.
Big congrats man!!! Your tone is always great, especially getting the super tight and clean pick attack! Very happy to see you get a pickup that dials that in with your name on it! :)
I haven't tried it but just hearing it makes me want to go out and get it. Sounds to me like you can really hear your mids and you can hear the notes if you're pumping out a lot of gain. Sounds like a well balanced pickup. Would love to rip into some Classic Priest on this one. Painkiller ! *LOL* 🤘
@@aamado1013 What PRS Do you have? When I opened up my S2 the pot inside had a 180pf capacitor soldered on it and usually on PRS guitars if that is present it's on a 500k pot. I had an issue with Seymour Duncan's shipping, they accidentally only gave me the bridge pickup and had to send me the neck pickup separately. I did not get the included pot but thankfully it didn't matter, these things sound NASTY. I tested it using the NeuralDSP's Granophyre plugin, it has so much clarity and bite. It' feels great!
@@MatthewMaranan it's a whale blue s2 singlecut 250. I'll save myself the $10 haha. Duncan said the pot is only packaged with the 7-string custom shop Jupiter. May order from a different store but definitely looking forward to the overhaul. The other choice would be a Vigier Excalibur but I think it'll be better for the PRS.
Got a few guitars I'm switching pickups out in. Probably going to drop a set of these in one of the guitars I'm changing up. Sound nice and these days I tend to shy away from active pickups. Only actives I really like still are the Duncan Blackouts.
Just got a set in for my horizon fr2. Cant wait till I get her back from my tech with jupiters and ss frets installed. First thing imma play is sleepwalk, lol.
I'm definitely putting it in my Iceman 7 I'm currently building a replica of your captain howdy/ exorcist signature/ model.. I guess that's what you call it lol. But man I've spent some money still trying to find a reverse neck for the body and japanese parts. These pickups are definitely going into it after my stain process but Im not doing binding gonna be a darker more camo in the darkness type model I guess.
Hey there Wes. Q) What are the differences/ benefits of having raised blades as opposed to having regular blades that are aced lower? Im curious about getting this set, and wonder how that affects the sound. Hello from the midwest
did he just claw and rawr at his bridge pickup? lmao. You're the shit Wes, one of the best ever IMO. About ready to get rid of this EMG in one of my guitars, definitely pickin' these up!
DCR of these bad boys? Would be cool to know for 7 string too Edit: 14.27k bridge and 8.02k for neck on SD's website Seems to be 17.8k for 7 string bridge and 9k for the neck
Fuck lmao. I just bought an Alpha and Omega set a few months ago that I haven’t had time to install into my guitar. Guess I’ll just have to get another guitar with these in it 😏
Dude I so badly want to see some vids with ur USA ibanez’s! So badly bro!! I’m an ibanez guy, I own 12 prestige’s and I’ve always wanted a 7 string ibanez iceman!! And dude!!! Your is so nasty!! Please make some vids on them!
Dude, have you seen a dermatologist for the lesion on your nose? I am not trolling -- it may be cancer. You really need a biopsy. I had something similar on my left arm and luckily it was not cancer. You don't want to end up like Bob Marley.
billhillard I ran through a sliding glass door when I was about 4 or 5. It was in the 80’s so it wasn’t the safety glass that breaks into little pieces, so it pretty much cut my nose off. It healed the way it looks now. For the most part, I forget that it’s there lol. Thanks for your concern tho that’s very kind of you.
@@WesHauchAlluvial Wooops. Well, I look like a right putz. Sorry dude I just became aware of you and your fine playing (a little late to the party it seems). Amazing playing, amazing pickups. Great job man!
That Pantera/WhiteZombie tour poster in the background is amazing. I went to this show at the Starplex in Dallas. Fuck I miss those bands.
They deliver a really elegant clean sound, congrats on putting a new pickup out!
love the midrange bite these have..
I’ve been waiting for these for years.
Wes’ recs is the bestest.
The seven slays, ive been waiting for the 6 version for all of my other guitars..3 seven strings, Jupiter equipped. 6 here we come
Hey! Do you really have that many Jupiters? I really want to try it, would you compare it at all to the NazGul?
This is a dream, finally. Wes, you're the guy
Awesome! ❤️
Wait how is this comment hours old but the video has only been up for a few minutes
stinky lizard *CONSPIRACY* 😂
Intrigued. Been looking to swap out my Bareknuckle for something new and interesting and this might be it
I want to see more of that black Destroyer! I'd buy that if it was a production model.
That low end is tight af! Congratulations on the signature pickup set :)
Shut
It sounds fantastic Wes!!! Nice and buttery! With a lot of clarity and bite...
Really love that these come with the rounded tabs also

Capt'n Shred do your research. They already make a 7 string model.

To answer your question without needing to be a jackass (see above). Wes has said a 7 string neck pickup is coming out. Hope that helps.
Hell yes dude!! Been waiting for this! Thank you for making it happen!
Ok I'm going to have to seriously consider these for my Warmoth build

Jupiters are going into my Semi-Hollow PRS S2 \m/
