Best phrasing ever in metal since Dime, hands down. Nobody has this much, expression, character, catchy sensibilities, that’s why I preach about your music like the gospel to everyone.
Agreed. It’s hard to put your finger on it when you first hear Wes, he just has that “it” quality. After years of listening it’s easy to see now! Also one of the best writers in metal rn.
I feel like if Dime would have picked up a 7 and wrote something it would have been this and I just picture him smiling ear to ear bobbin’ around having a great time. Thank you Wes for all the amazing music!
Man, your riffs and tones are instantly identifiable as your stuff. You absolutely have your own sound that nobody but you brings to the table. See you in March in Austin, TX. 🤘
I recently took account of the records I listen to the most and realized that Wes is at the root of most of them. It's as if one day it dawned on you that 5 of the 7 restaurants you love the most all have the same executive chef.
I installed the custom shop Jupiter 7 signed by you and the SD crew last night at around 8pm. I played until 3am. The note separation and low end control is insane. It sounds like I'm recording every note as a separate take when doing bigger chords on heavy distortion. This one is staying forever in my main guitar, this is THE pickup for me!!!! Thank you and all the folks at Seymour Duncan for this amazing pickup!
I recently bought a pack of about 30 dollars with the best amps: 5150, PurpleNightmare etc... this preset sounds far better than the 30 bucks I spent. We all know that these rigs must then process to get what each one is looking for. You've got a very well-born rig. thanks
Hey thanks buddy. I’m a hobbyist engineer at best, I just move mics around until I like it. I wanted to give this one away to see if anyone liked it. I’ll probably release a kemper bundle in the next few months
Man I miss your videos Wes, you are such a pleasure to watch playing. You inspire me to wanna be a better player. Please, please, please post more videos mate 🍻🍻🍻🍻 FYI I’m buying a pair of Jupiter’s for my iceman 🤘🤘
I'm wondering how to comment on all of your stuff and just have no idea.. You are the best guitar player I've seen, and I'm sure you could play every guitar line that exists in all of the world. Seeing your finger movement and knowing how many tons of hours you spend to play like this... man, you are a master of masters :D It's one of my dreams to hear your playing live, hope to see you in some concerts of Europe tour. You are my motivation to keep practicing on the guitar. Thank you, Wes! Never stop making this incredibly perfect music. With lots of respect from Poland, Karol
This is amazing! When u hit that harmonic at 3:01 and tap those high notes with that whammy bar…. Nasty good. Thanks for sharing Wes! Can’t wait to see this live.
Man your playing and control over the guitar have been my goal for the last few yrs now and i can honestly say that making myself pick cleaner and more efficient has changed everything for me as a guitarist. Thank you dude
We need more playthroughs, brother. Guitar, drums, bass too. And if not a whole rerelease of the first album with vocals, then one or two of the songs. And promote the hell out of the current album, more people need to hear it. Good to see an upload.
Man that bridge at about a minute 30 is just tough walk city. Crazy that in addition to the top shelf phrasing, Wes has also got to have the cleanest right-hand technique I think I've ever seen.
Why isn’t Wes more highly regarded in the guitar world?? He is literally never spoken of amongst the greats but I don’t think I’m alone in saying the man is likely among the most talented worldwide. I’m a huge guitar nerd. Not just for metal players but my preference certainly goes towards metal. I’ve also played guitar myself for over 35 years and technique wise it just doesn’t get much better than Wes. What truly separates his playing from other technique monsters however, is his absolutely jaw dropping phrasing and vibrato. To me, when Wes does a solo it’s like if AI (artificial intelligence) were to create a perfect solo. Sounds sort of ridiculous I know, but he’s got that Dimebag sauce down pat and a perfect portion of Marty Friedman bends slightly flat up to pitch. Those are BEAUTIFULLY executed. I could practice another 35 years and not have Wes’ abilities. Dude is just a generational talent in my opinion.
If ever there was a living, breathing sentient android out in the world already, it would be a toss up between you and JR. Utterly flawless technique and phenomenal tone and inspiring composition. I always look forward to your uploads and I can't see that ever changing. Keep smashing it out of the park Wes and wish you all the best on upcoming tours.
Stellar playing from Mr. Hauch as always. You are a seriously underrated player, in my opinion. I love how developed your sound is, and the overall groove you make happen in so many of your songs. I try to show your videos to my friends to get the word out. Keep rippin'!
Such a beautiful song, the dissonance is on point. I saw yall at Summit the other day. Damn, you guys played tight AF and it sounded crisp in there too. I started that pit the second you began Sarcoma. I hope you come back to Denver after the tour \m/
Love the sound of your pickups. I know you don’t play 8 string but it would be sick to have 8 string versions. Not sure what the market would be like for that tho 🤷♂️
Don’t know how or why it took this long to come across you, Wes. But I feel I’ve missed a lot. I really enjoy your precision, flawless technique, note selection, utilization of vibrato, bends, and whammy. You have climbed into my top 3 of metal guitarist quickly. I hear alot of Dime bag in your playing but also some themes of Havok (Reece Scruggs) and Revocation (Dave Davidson).
Hey Wes, I have this exact RGD model but the trem arm has been coming loose on me and its been kinda annoying. Yours looks to have a modded trem arm of some sort? Any idea on the exact mod there? Sick playing as always btw.
It’s the light weight carbon fiber bar, I think you can order it from Ibanez but it comes on the Vai and Satch guitars. My regular arms come loose every once in a while and you just have to replace those little plastic bushings.
@@WesHauchAlluvial Ahh I see. Been thinking about replacing the arm holder with one of the floyd style screw in ones. Thought that might have been what you had here, so I was curious.
Hey, Wes. I want to comment on all of your videos so I'll just pick this one, haha. You're my favorite guitarist, love all your music very dearly. I want to learn some of the Sarcoma songs! Can I ask what string gauge you use for G# standard and Drop F#?
Nooice one man! I may have to dust off the 7 string soon, that first riff sounds like it would make a good alternate picking exercise for string changes 👍The quest to become as cleaner picker as you is never ending haha.
Those three notes after the whammy were slick
Yeah, sound like Mathias IA Eklund.
My socks came off
Dope! Wasn’t expecting it and it went perfectly
Goddamn right 🦶🍌
No one is talking about the slide/scrape part. That was amazing and under-appreciated!
That is legitimately hard to get crisp sounding and that seamless. Definitely appreciate it based on how quiet tight he is throughout the whole thing.

The only one I can think of that comes close to Wes in terms of expression is Brandod Ellis.
Vildhjarta
I see this comment made about literally every pro guitarist on YT and especially about famous guitarists.
Dime & McLaughlin
No wasted movement. Tight as hell. Ultimate respect, dude. I can’t wait to hear what Alluvial makes next.
Flawless technique..
I feel like if Dime would have picked up a 7 and wrote something it would have been this and I just picture him smiling ear to ear bobbin’ around having a great time. Thank you Wes for all the amazing music!

100%
This dude is a true RIFFLORD 🔥
This song has all the riffs🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ibanez needs to give this man a signature Iceman already. I'd buy one.
I recently took account of the records I listen to the most and realized that Wes is at the root of most of them. It's as if one day it dawned on you that 5 of the 7 restaurants you love the most all have the same executive chef.
Cleanest riffing I believe I've ever seen and that tone is perfect. Instantly subscribed.

I want to shred like Wes when I grow up. He's a bad dude
idk i thoght he was pretty good
the sweetest thing is the pic of himself and his wilfe behind him, it is really beautiful

Damn.. this is epic man!!
Yes, my fav song of the album!
Wes is a monster . Love this guy's playing and style. So killer.
Desperately need this for the whole album.
That opening riff is one of my all time favorites. So insanely good!
Tone and playing are bonkers. Always good surprise to see you post stuff. Keep them coming !
The clarity is sooooo good

Every time I watch you're videos I can't help but laugh. You're amazing man.
Your solo from Mile Zero is debatably my favorite guitar solo of all time. Killer precision, as always. Good stuff dude!!
Tightest stance in the game! Easily the most well engineered pickup on the market.
This whole thing is just a masterpiece. Been following Wes for years and this album has some absolute bangers on it. Can't stop listening to this one.
From 2:13 onwards it makes clear why Wes is my favorite metal guitarist
I have been man crushing on you for the last few years. Absolutely. Incredible. Never stop making music.
Massive fan from the swedish west coast 💪😈

FUCK YES dude. Making these shitty pandemic times better by bringing out one of the best metal records I have listened to in years. THANKS!
That tone is all kinds of nasty. Epic tune, clean AF playing as always and filthy tone.
its typical for the tc-100 with an fortin 33.
I love your tone ,when you play palm mute power chords it sounds like a howitzer shot
i remember seeing the riff at 1:26 on instagram and dyyyying to hear the rest of the song....fuck. yes.
I haven't enjoyed metal album like that in a while. Amazing musicianship :D
I don’t even know what to say anymore, one of a kind brother, killer chops

I'm looking forward to seeing Wes' band in Nashville this may
great and creative playing
Best song off sarcoma. Sickest solo too.
Wes is technically phenomenal, much love to wes
Love the album Wes 🤘
Damn, just love it dude.
Just absolutely deadly.
Excellent work!
If you look up what music theory is, Wes's name is the definition. Goddamn.
Replaced the nazgul in my old KM7 with this like 18 months ago. My buddy with fishmans wanted to use it for recording instead. My favorite pick up.
Phenomenal. 🏆🤘🏽
So clean
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So funny. I've been thinking of buying this exact combination for guitar and pickups. I NEED.
I have the jupiter in my schecter 7 string. I love it.

@@peterbagosi3862 do you know why he left. I couldn’t find anything on it besides working on solo projects
