This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm in the process of altering a beautiful knit coat and I want to add a ribbed cuff, but I couldn't find this information anywhere, not even in alterations books! And you provide so much detail and step-by-step info that it makes it so clear! Thank you so much!
Thank you from me aswell, i just got a really nice jean winter jacket, but the sleeves are much too short! this will help me i'm sure :)@@susaneliascouture
I want to add a new black cuff to my coat as edges of sleeves are worn, what sort of material does one buy to make a cuff, is there a ready made cuff material ?
so much detail! thank you! Quick question- with a lined garment, wouldn't you get a better look if you put the cuff BETWEEN the lining and outerlayer? or attach to our layer then stitch lining to cover the seam?
Yes thar is the way it usually is suppose to be sewn in. This fabric won’t allow that process. I had better control this way. Thanks for noticing that:).
Thank you for this. I'm wanting to do this with a cute Winnie the Pooh scrub jacket that doesn't have cuffs. I love the print and someone gave it to me. Just a poorly done gathering with elastic at the end. Come on Disney, do better.
So glad I found you. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you very much.
