This DIY is truly EPIC. Fall & Winter fashion is my favorite, and I wanted to find a way to easily transform any jacket into a statement piece for the season! These detachable, magnetic faux fur collars & cuffs are easy to create and customize for leather and denim jackets, long coats, and more! The best part about DIY-ing these removable pieces is that they will NOT damage your clothing! Once Spring rolls around, all you have to do is detach the magnets & you're good to go! I'm excited to see what y'all create 🌟

Orly, I just wanted to thank you! I am a Fashion Management student here in India so I gotta dress trendy, and we don't have any UA-camrs here like you that show such detailed information. I love the fact that it's Detatchable and you accounted for fabric movement. Oh and also, it's sustainable to switch out collars and not buy new jackets! Genius!

I love this idea. Your makes are so inspiring! There are a few things to keep in mind. Because the magnets are so strong, folks with pacemakers and medical devices should probably check with their doctor just to be sure it’s safe, especially because with a collar, the magnet could be very close to the chest area.

This is perfect.!! I just made myself a cape style jacket and was really regretting not adding a collar. The fur collar will be a nice touch.

Great idea! I just bought a pattern for a cape coat and like the look of both with and without a furry collar - now I can do both.
The magnets are brilliant! I lined a trucker's jacket with a tiger-print sweater, used the sleeves as no-sew cuffs, and added a fox scarf for the collar. Wanted to post a pic but didn't see how to do that.

Just last week, I watched your old video about this...so genius! I added faux fur trim to a coat I made but just basted it on temporarily until I got the magnets, so this video timing is freakin perfect!

Brilliant. Did this many years ago with an olive/ army green jacket. I used animal print fur and had sewed it on the plane to my DC destination lol. Now DC is in a mess thanks to 45. Brilliant that it's removable. My fave is the green, very Lux.
Love what you’re doing with faux fur. I’m in my sixties and I can still pull these outfits off!! I also love winter fashion with all its layers and clunkiness. 😊

I did a restyle of a red leather jacket for one of my clients. He brought me the jacket.....a picture of what he wanted.....and fur.
I really enjoyed creating his vision for him.
And yes.......I used a razor to cut all my lines.......after making the finest of cuts......gently tug on both sides away from each other.......perfect edges while still maintaining the affect of fur on the right side of the textile!
Looking forward to more ideas from you in 2021.........

Omg! When my daughter was in high school she took home ec. She found white fur with black spots and decided to make a dalmatian puppy. It took her HOURS to gently pull the fur out of the seams after it was sewed on a machine. Turned out great tho!!

I watch your videos every week & often buy the stuff but I usually get sidetracked & don't exactly finish the project... But it has kept me busy during the stay at home order.
But I finally completed one & I love it. I couldn't find the material that you used with a thick backing so mine made a mess when I cut it but it's super soft & cozy so I'm happy!

Free people have a jacket similar to one of them for less than $100 it’s navy Sherpa with maroon outside and it’s really cute they also have one with PAISLEY BLEACHED INTO IT! I wish they had grey! They have some great jackets right now.
