Thanks, again, everyone for joining the premiere! ♥ ♥ ♥ Here are the basic instructions: Cut your marshmallows down if you're using big ones. Dehydrate at 150F / 62C for 4-8 hours (large marshmallows and those with low wattage machines can take longer). Vacuum seal them in mason jars or even in mylar bags.
Also, marshmallow powder stores a little better than fruit powders. Even though there is a ton of sugar in it, it doesn't clump as easily, so you can store it in canning jars if you make a little too much for a particular need. You can always throw a desiccant pack in if it helps. But if it does get clumpy, here are some ways to help solve that:
    www.thepurposefulpantry.com/keep-dehydrated-powders-dry/
Be sure to stop by the blog and grab your marshmallow dehydrating worksheet (as well as a host of other worksheets to build your dehydrating notebook)! Here's the link again: www.thepurposefulpantry.com/how-to-dehydrate-marshmallows/
I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the series! Another video tomorrow by Leisa Sutton of Suttons Daze! I can't wait to see what she's making for us. I hear it's REALLY tasty!

Hi Darcy, I am all the way down in New Zealand. We do have the mini marshmallows but I decided to try our favourite brand Pascal's marshmallows which are a lot bigger (but not large!). After 36 hours at 130deg (and a lot of testing!) I jarred them. They are a flavour bomb, like a chewy lolly. But next time I will try the mini ones! Thanks so much, loving your channel as I recently purchased the Excaliber 5 tray - it is epic!

Question, can I store dehydrated food in vaccum sealed bags ? I do not have the space for jars. Thank you so much for your help!

Yes you can! But dehydrated foods can have sharp edges that can puncture those plastic bags (especially thinner varieties). So you'll want to double wrap those with parchment paper, paper bags, paper towels, etc, to prevent it.

Especially around the fall holidays and again in the spring. I'm searching high and low for chocolate ones, but can't find any near me :(

Meijer didn't have any peppermint marshmallows! 😕 They had pumpkin spice and lucky charm shapes though. Got a bag of pumpkin spice to try. We'll have to swing by Walmart to see if they have any. Love the idea for teacher's gifts!

I found them at Target - they're around $1.29-$1.50 per bag. When you do the pumpkin spice, cut them in half so they aren't so thick.

@@ThePurposefulPantry no Target around here. I'll swing by my local grocery store. Sometimes they have things the big guys don't. I love the idea of the cocoa mix with marshmallows for teacher gifts!

It's definitely a fun twist! My son is going to LOVE experimenting with all the new ways he can use it because we still have so much ground for the making of this video :D
