@@HandsTouch WOW What a great recipe They look absolutely delicious!! Thank you for sharing your recipe !! I have a quick question , for Vegan can the Gelatin be substituted with Agar Agar ? If so would you be able to sub the Agar Agar with same amount as Gelatin that you used , Or would the recipe have to be adjusted for the Agar Agar ? I would really like to make this with your lovely recipe using a substitute for the Gelatin if it is possible! Thank you so much for sharing this , Have a Merry Christmas & happy holidays 😊

The first two steps with the blended sugar and cornstarch are "just" making powdered sugar from scratch, so you could skip that and just use store-bought powdered sugar instead. Just a tip for everyone who doesn't own a blender 😊

Here, I wrote it out for ya''ll, lol
    homemade marshmallows without corn syrup:
    3 tb sugar
    blend til smooth powder
    3 tb cornstarch
    mix
    sieve
brush oil on bottom of square glass pan
cover inner bowl with powder mixture-using sieve/strainer
(you’re dusting the pan with the sugar/pow mix)
    2 tb gelatin
    1/3 c water
mix and set aside to soak
    to small pan:
    1/3 c water
    1 c sugar
    1/2 t lemon juice
    cook medium heat
to soft ball stage (check with cold water-put a little syrup in water-not water in syrup, lol)
    reduce heat to low
    add soaked gelatin
    cook until thread consistency
    about 2 mins
    transfer to a bowl
    beat on high
after a few mins, you’ll see a white foam like meringue
add 1 t vanilla and food coloring if desired
    you’ll get almost nougat consistency
    transfer to square glass bowl
    refrigerate 5 hours or overnight
sugar and cornflour mix on cutting board
also use this to top what’s in the square pan
when you remove it from fridge
    is this turkish delight? lol
    pat it in the top
work it into the corners to remove it
    put on cutting board
put mix on knife to easily cut
pat mix into the squares to make them not stick

Hi ! Greetings from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰.
    The marshmallow recepie is fune.
But the way ,I make some what closer to it.
Don't mix corn flour with powdered sugar. Only the cornflour sprinkled on the base of the transwer container so the mixture didn't stick into the container ..
O do not place the marshmallow in the fridge to set. Sprinkle cornflour over cover with a lid the container. Keep out side in a cooler place for 6 hours or more. Till it gets set. Once it is done ,follow the same as yours.Cut,and roll on the corn flour and icing sugar.

In my life I wish I can bake and do things for a bit of money on the side. Biggest problem is the rules in the UK,
as not only do you need to obtain a food and health hygiene certificate, but also, the kitchen needs two sinks for health
and hygiene reasons. Not many places have two kitchen washing sinks. Unless it is a house.

Why do that with sugar, when you can use powdered/confectioners sugar.??
And Potato Starch is sweeter. 👍🏼
You can also use various types of flavoring. Such as Coconut, Strawberry, Peppermint, Banana, Cinnamon extracts. I know, because I have tried then all. 😋

When I saw the pretty pink color I assumed there’d be peppermint flavor! I was surprised it wasn’t used!
Also I thought the same thing about the powdered sugar.

Same thought I had when I saw the sugar blended smooth looked like powdered sugar.
