Darcy…I removed the berries, put them individually in blender and chopped…cam out puréed but it’s fine. To clean up the compacted powder in the mixing jugs, I wonder if you could use like a bottle cleaner brushe (I don't know how it's called in English. You know the one with bristles all around and at the extremity that we use to clean baby bottles and other type of bottles? This would (maybe???) go in the crevasse and corners of the ninja mixing jug, so you can de-compact the fruit powder and keep it instead of having to wash it away later and wasting this precious powder??? I'm not sure, I've never done it, but just wondering.... In any case! This video was super interesting and informative! Thank you SO MUCH! I've never done that but I certainly will from now on!
I think this would be the perfect way for making seedless jams and drinks by making the powder? I’m so new to this and enjoying the information! Thank you for sharing! Have a blessed day!
No . It doesn't dissolve for drinks the way dissolvable powders do. It's still the fiber left - and can be used in something like a tea bag so that you can flavor the drink, and still remove the pulpy bits if you don't enjoy that. Jam is best made from fresh/frozen/rehydrated whole.
Your comment about how long blueberries last frozen, fresh, etc, made me realize I may not necessarily be the target audience for this video 😅 Fresh blueberries last about 2 days, and we're lucky if there are frozen blueberries left after 1 week (I apparently did something right with my kids that they love fruit, but they go through them like crazy)
That was amazing, because I make green veggie powders all the time, but I was not doing fruit because I didn't think it would last. Thanks so much. Now, how much water do you use to make drinks?
You don't make drinks with it the way you think - it's not like dissolving it to make that juice again. It will flavor water, but you're still left with some solids (the skin, etc.). So use as much or as little as you want to flavor.
Hi - I didn't catch the name of the paper you were using. I caught that it wasn't parchment, but not was it was. Can you please tell me.
Use whatever you have that works for you.
absolutely amazing. Thank you for such an amazing video.
This is all new for me. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
You are so welcome
This is cool! I was hoping to recreate Juice Plus supplement on my own - this video was very helpful!
Do you have a cookbook of dehydrating? It would be nice to have a reference guide to cook times, prep, storage, etc
It's always listed in the description box of all of my videos -- shop.thepurposefulpantry.com/products/dehydrating-basics-journal-coil
Just subbed, looking like an awesome channel with the name!
@@ThePurposefulPantry this is helpful, thank you for explaining!
This is highly educational. Thank you
Your comment about how long blueberries last frozen, fresh, etc, made me realize I may not necessarily be the target audience for this video 😅
Fresh blueberries last about 2 days, and we're lucky if there are frozen blueberries left after 1 week (I apparently did something right with my kids that they love fruit, but they go through them like crazy)
I never thought of doing this thank you so much
I love your introduction star seed ♥️
Very informative I’ve learned a new skill from your video 😉
I've made blueberry powder to mix with my white coffee (under roasted) and make purple coffee. Hazelnut or vanilla syrup.
Hi - I didn't catch the name of the paper you were using. I caught that it wasn't parchment, but not was it was. Can you please tell me. Also, do you have a video demonstrating what you do with fruit, say cherries, which have seeds. I have Brazillian cherries and acerola growing at home and would love to do this with them, but dealing with the seeds is always a pain. Thanks in advance. Loved this video.
It's either parchment/baking paper or fruit leather sheets/silicone
Thank you! This is very interesting. I have a question because I didn't quite make it out: How long do you keep the powder in the oven and in what temperature?
Again - a warmed oven. Just turn it on low and turn it off when it's warm. 15-20 min
@@ThePurposefulPantry Thank you for your prompt response! You are very kind. So, basically, the oven would be turned off while the powder sits inside it for 15-20. Have I understood correctly? And how much is low? Would you say, around 150 degrees Celsius? (I've never done anything like this before!)
@@lawally127 the lowest possible setting your oven goes on or if your oven has a 'warm' button/setting, you'd use that
seems this would be great to add to a tea mix
Amazing. I love yogurt but i hate chunks in it. I could use powder. Amazing. Thanks
