A Series On Separatist Politics Would Go Insanely Hard
As true as that is just so your aware, ive been asking for more tactics and structures like the cis navy structure
For 340 days today...
A story like that would be bound to show the Separatist Idealists like Mina Bonteri being kept in the dark and having much faith in Count Dooku. The members of the Separatist Council would no doubt use their control over the military to try and better themselves and their corporations. A serious question would be how long it would take until the combined hatred of the Republic and its corruption isn’t enough to keep the Separatists united. Even the non-corporate members are divided between democracies, autocracies, and other types of government no doubt. Some support slavery, others oppose it, some are racist, some aren’t. Granted, a faction as large as the Republic must have similar political divisions within it, but it was able to keep itself united behind Palpatine and maintaining order, for better in the short term and for worse in the long term.
Filoni hates the seperatists because there are no jedi in them.
So it is unlikely that we will ever see something like that.
@@RealCodreXFiloni is a crybaby then
Takes of a seperatist
Imagine a Generel grievous episode
The fact Anakin killed Durge can actually get pretty funny considering the Bounty Hunter was basically a teenager when he died. The Chosen One really knew how to deal with kids, isn't it?
Yet you consider the clones children
Well, Gen’Dai do have millennia-long lifespans, and by then, Durge was twice as old as Yoda, chronologically.
It's pretty sad Grievous's tragic backstory was completely erased in the TCW show. The first origin of the Jedi killer was simply devastating and a pretty great foreshadowing of Anakin's dark destiny with the Sith
Did they really erase it? It kinda just seemed like they omitted/glossed over it
They didn't erase anything. They just didn't speak about it, because why would they? TCW was about the characters that were important in Anakin's life and Anakin himself too.
Please, feel free to point me to the specific episodes of TCW that completely erase his backstory.
Or are we just here to make bold claims in a comment section?
For those wondering, _TCW_ and its supplementary sources retconned Grievous' backstory into a guy who was jealous of the Jedi's capabilities and upgraded himself into a cyborg to mimic their abilities.
@@Daniel_Huffman Omission is not a retcon. Grievous’ origin story is still very much canon. And even if it weren’t, it could still fit neatly within the canon.
Despite being a monster, Durge actually had a understandable reason to do such awful things. During the New Sith Wars, Durge's Master and only friend, Jaing, was killed by the mandalorians, causing the Bounty Hunter a deep hatred for that race, until the point of killing one of the Mandalores and joining the Separatists just to kill as many Jango Fett's clones as possible
Mando isn’t a race and his master being killed happened to many Jedi
That would actually be a funny reason to join the separatists. If you hate Jango, join the separatists. Now you can kill Jango over and over again.
Fun fact for anyone who didn't know. In the original clone, wars show it is mace windu, who causes grievous's iconic cough by crushing his core with the force, permanently damaging the cyborgs organs. 1 could assume this isn't the only reason or explanation for his condition by the end of the clone wars, but I like to reference this whenever the topic comes up
There are a couple more feared Separatist leaders I’d like to mention:
Sev’rance Tann: She was the original Supreme Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies before Grievous who was responsible for a number of early Separatist victories like the Battle of Sarapin.
Alpha-02 “Spar:” He was Mandalore of the Mandalorian Protectors who destroyed many Republic armies in Mandalorian Space before he was defeated at Norval II.
Tann is an often overlooked commander simply because she, as far as I know, only appeared in Galactic Battlegrounds. That doesn't diminish her importance though. On that note. I wouldn't mind seeing a redesigned Decimator tank, the one in game was weird looking.
And technically Durge wasn't a leader....more like bodyguard, thug. Mercenary....except for the ridiculous lance bs....and Alto Status wasn't a Separatist Commander....He was commander of Jabiims rebels who wanted to join the separatists in exchange for mining rights....He only commanded the small force of Assassin Droids at the end....his forces were mostly Jabiim rebels....Seems he is ignoring a lot of actual Commanders in favor of his favorite characters....what about the Mon Calamari Merkai or whatever...at the battle of Kamino? Or Nute Gunray ? I get that your going for most feared commanders....but since you add people that weren't commanders you might as well add those no one fears....and to be fair...the other vid he did on separatists commanders who lost it all on one battle....the main reason those battles were lost was bc ole Palps wanted them to be.....either to take out commanders he feared or he thought incompetent.....when you realize Palps was playing both ends to the middle, then you understand some never had a chance , no matter how feared, undefeated or powerful....the one person Palps couldn't Out think was sent to conquer the Unknown regions with just one ship....and he did. Thrawn.😮
dang tann is a baddie
@@cody-en7ntholy yap
The Battle of Jabiim was without a doubt one of the most depressing Sar Wars stories. It gave us an amazing tale with a great anti-war message. In fact, the planet would still suffer the consequences of the war during the OT era, to the point the inhabitants literaly try to kill Luke because he is a Skywalker
They had the balls to "kill off" Obi-Wan! That series seriously went ham. I miss Alpha but I'm glad he could inspire Rex's character a bit.
Did they ever explain to him why they wanted to kill? Just imagine they told him what his father did during the Clones Wars must be shocking to Luke, right?
@@lerneanlionI doubt Luke could be shocked by his fathers past as a Jedi when he was literally DARTH FUCKING VADER. Besides, Anakin was heroled a hero across multiple planets. Jabim is like the only planet where the Republics‘ involvement had a negative impact afterwards.
@Dudewithguns-ww7wc to be fair, if not for papls propaganda , anakin would be viewed as the general grievous of the republic and definitely would be seen in a negative light
8:38
For those who wonder, this Jedi (Etain Tur-Mukan) and Mandalorian Commando (Darman Skirata), would fall in love and have a force-sensitive child, Venku Skirata, who years later would become a training companion of Jaina Solo
I love that Tamson’s death was a homage to Jaws. It’s just missing that “Smile you sunnuva b-“ BOOM!
Just imagine teaming up with Durge and General Grievous? They would make a terrifying power couple within the CIS
didn't they have an intense and hatefull rivalry?
In legends grevious ambushed durge and ventless at the same time, and beat them both
Durge wasn’t trained by Mandalorians. He HATED Mandalorians. They actually set him on fire and buried him for 60 years until he escaped. That’s why he hated clones. They were ‘offspring’ or ‘spawns’ of a Mandalorian.
Wasn’t he trained by a Mandalorian though? Not a group but just one particular mandalorian who had left or something
Ventress and Greivous were great at showing how the Sith were in control of the CIS.
Tamson was terrifying as a Kid, surprised that I never had nightmares about him. Dude was unhinged AF.
The shark man cometh…
You can also argue that Grievous’ suit was the original plans for Vaders, as it appears to work much better, but Sidious wanting to be able to control Vader gave him a faultier one
Alto Stratus was a great military commander and unlike a lot of officers, he led his men in combat from the front lines. Hell, he fought with a regular sword and not a vibroblade or a stolen lightsaber.
Jabiim still lives in my head rent free
Republic comics were so damn good
Yes @@arachnomech88
Empire at War players can experience how painful that planet is firsthand
General Grievous is one of my favorite characters!! 🛡️🗡️✨ A very gifted strategist, tactician, and swordsman!!
There would be nothing more terrifying than to see Grievous, Durge, and Admiral Trench in the same battle
That would be an oh fuck moment.
Sev’rance Tann has shown to be a competent leader during the early months of the Clone Wars, she likely deserved a honorable mention here
Darts was able to hold his own, but I do think it’s fair to remember that Obi Wan was just using that fight as a distraction while Anakin and Ahsoka disarmed the bombs. He basically let him beat him up to take advantage of the zygerrian’s temper and grudge against the Jedi
Also let’s not forget that Riff Tansen was also the one who assassinated the previous Mon Cala monarch
Great list. I feel like Osi Sobeck should have been on this list, he ran the Citadel which was a deadly place and that arc featured heavy losses on the Republics side.
Yeah, but he was a prison warden, not an actual military commander.
The guy made a grave mistake by entering the battlefield, and it cost him everything (literally)
James Jonah Jameson: ADMIRAL TRENCH IS THE GREATEST MENACE THE REPUBLIC HAS EVER SEEN!
Strange that Sev'rance Tann wasn't on the list a Chiss dark jedi acolyte
Because she only showed up in that one game.
Lol " Plunging his lightsaber into the Spidermans heart, ending his reign of terror" 🤣
Hell yeah! I'm glad you're covering the Drak Horse comics' charcters.
Great video😊 I have a suggestion for the most feared Republic allies. Ewoks come to mind
I like how the clones had lances, just in case of jousting droids led by an immortal bounty hunter made of ever-regenerating tentacles.
The sith cant be blamed entirely for Grevious‘s misfortune. Sure, they made use of it and bombed him and turned him into a cyborg, but the stuff with the war before that was on the jedi/republic. His hatred for them is mandated
Darts D’narr only got any hits in because Obi-Wan was dragging the fight out.
yup..glad you brought that up, it was bugging me..😅
Yeah, had Obi Wan wanted, Darts would have been out of the fight in seconds.
I was surprised that Generation Tech missed that bit aspect of the fight between Obi-Wan and D'narr. I knew I couldn't have been the only one that noticed this.
Allan making more C.I.S. vids? I'll take 10 thank you.
A movie/show about Alto Stratus would be the most amazing thing ever. Of course I wouldn't count on the current owners of the franchise to consider it, not in a million years but still, it's nice to dream.
You forgot to mention Commander Nefarious, Caption "I'm a bad guy", and Admiral Bone-to-Pick who were also aboard the Invisible Hand with General Grievance.
You missed Sev'rance Tann
Can you do a video of the most feared republic generals too?
Great vid my friend.
Though, I'd argue with your interpretation at the beginning, of the meaning of what The Clone Wars represents. Rather than "quality over quantity" I'd suggest; "Plot Armour over contrived shortcomings" courtesy of old creamy Sheeves himself. ;)
The CIS could have won the war in two years had the Sithy Kids not hamstrung them, on multiple occasions. Also, though The Republic may have owned Anakin's Rookie Card, The Sith owned his complete set when Sheeves launched order 66.
Not to mention; Terminator (Grevious), Spiderman (Trench), Braveheart (Stratus), Furiosa (Ventress), The Thing (Durge), RoboCop (Hokan), Bruce (Tamson), Khan (D'Nar) and many more. :)
We're talking about in-universe stuff, not why the storytellers did things the way they did in real life.
Also, are those the actual inspirations for those characters, and if so, are there any sources confirming that?
I’m gonna be honest the explosive knives probably should’ve had a bio code on them to make it so that only he could use them that would’ve probably been a smart one essentially a genetic block
Not bad, now we should see an hear about the Republic counter parts though most those are probably just as easy to guess
Its a shame we see the republic take on efforts of sending several jedi generals to a battlefield like where obiwan, mace windu, and obiwan were all present at a given time and resulted in victory. Meanwhile theres been lack of joint campaigns for the separatist. Imagine greivous ventress trench were all involved with the battle of umbara. The umbarans in addition to very tactical CIS leaders could of meant defeat for the republic even if pong krell was never there.
Good list, a few fearsome individuals indeed.
can just tell this is going to be a great vid
We need a show focusing on them please 🥺
One of my favorites made the list the Hairless Harpy herself lol everytime I watch that episode I bust out laughing
I say this again but a little differently what did I do to get this lucky to get a video from gen tech and a separatist one as well but i know what i did to get this lucky
Day 340 PLEASE DO MORE TACTICS AND STRUCTURES LIKE THE CIS NAVY STRUCTURE AND RANKS
Sev’rance Tann was also a skilled commander.
I think Sev'rance Tann or any of the Super Tactical Droids would be a good fit for this list. Sev'rance Tann dosent have a large story but she had an impressive track record. And the Mandalorian on this list is similar being only known through a game. (I love galactic battlegrounds.) And for the Super Tactical Droid, everyone feared them and their biggest weakness was themself rather than any outside force. Rex even had a PTSD flashback when seeing one after the end of the clone wars.
its funny, Ventress was a loyalist to the sith, but Palpatine was paranoid of her growing power, so had dooku betray her, she dosn't handle betrayal well, and people say the good guys are dumb
What would credits be if he's property. Well she was going to give him freedom . To spend it.
Why not clone Darge for an army
@Ni-dk7ni, also, could you imagine trying to clone and train what is essentially a mass of muscles that can live for thousands of years?
I hope we do see some kind of CIS remnant in a TV series some time in the future.
I mean, there was Desix in The Bad Batch, and General Kalani and his boys in Rebels.
@@occam7382also Christopher Lloyd in mandalorian
7:30 to be fair, I think obi wan was intentionally holding back to stall for time.
Grevious and Trench are my favorites
"Darts Dnar suprising did some heavy blows on Kenobi in the fist fight"
You do realize Kenobi let that happened on purpose as a distraction right?
Sev'Rance Tann?
The separatist really knew how to pick their military leaders.
Kenobi initially let Dart hit him in order to distract him from Anakin’s plan
Grevious got kiss bumper kicked by Gungans
Annunciate, brother. As my music teacher used to say: "use your lips, your partner will thank you!"
The three separatist leaders, who were most strategically capable and tactically brilliant in the field of battle and you want leading your armies are Grievous, Trench and Strauss
Installment #1. So Derg was like the Hunters in Halo. A bunch of sentiant worms.. Working together as a whole being.. Any one part carries it's total thought and ambitious desires..
hmmm 🤔. Like the primordial. Only one fragment of a molecular structure will itself to be..
I think a gravimetric singularity is in order.. Our universal trash compactor.. Order yours now. For only 76,345 easy payments of 799.99.. But Wait there's more. You get.... damn I hate old commercials. Burnt a memory...
what about cad bane or maraloeval
What if we lived in a starwars Universe. But earth was still the same. Would we detect this advanced civilization..
Are there any planets at earth leavel in the starwars galaxy. Aware their own a planet and space but No evidence of life beyond their planets
Possibly we're in the unknown regions of the Star Wars Galaxy u.u
Who was the mandalorian in the thumbnail?
D’nar really putting the confederacy in Confederacy of Independent Systems
The Jedi had some sharks on their side
Why do they have legs on a planet with no land
Canon stories of star wars are nice
Is that.... 😂 a viking in the thumbnail
Evacuation of Jabin feels very different now after the fall of Afghanistan
Did Yoda even knew that the Jedi temple was build on a dark side necsus
We all knew who would be in the top 2
11:56
That is not where a spiders heart is located.
Just saying ;)
What, no love for Spar?
Can someone please explain to me the lore of Alan hating Dolphins so much? I'm confused.
5:55 what is the name of this droid
A-series Assassin Droid. These assassin droids are very ancient, more than 3000 years old, and have their secret home in an ancient Rakata base deep in the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk.
@@mayeuldelaunay4058 THANK YOU
Hey Alan, I like robots.
I wonder if there were any non-jedi commanders in the republic? Not clones but just regular republic citizens.
Nice thumbnail... Though except for the fact you felt the need to portray Alto Stratus as a random AI-generated image of course... I thought you were better than that, apparently not.
u read “most feared commanders” and fear strikes your heart, then continue and see “in the separatist droid army” and start laughing. like dead, dead, dead, dead, dead, dead, dead, deserter.
Same for the republic and the empire... Not sure you're old enough to know, but everybody dies champ.
@@sebastianb.3978 sorry i forgot to specify that they were all killed at the hands of said republic and empire. my point being is that if you look at the most feared commanders who lived through the war the separatists most feared commanders definitely ate ass in comparison. the only one that survived the clone war was ventress because she was betrayed and nearly blown up by Duku and then deserted. (duku purposefully allowed her to live) my fault tho my knowledge of life and death along with this franchise is clearly dwindling and my young clearly mushy brains cannot comprehend.
@@Sp00kyB00per Who's Duku? XD
@@sebastianb.3978 the fact u knew it was a who and not a fruit means you know exactly who it is. if you don’t know look up a duku fruit. my brain swaps the spelling of the fruit and fictional character.
@@Sp00kyB00per I have heard of people blowing shit up. Never heard of feuit blowing shit up. Try again bruv xP
Theres alot not stated in General Grievous's part and several mistakes
Just as a reminder of how dirty the live-action movie and the modern Clone Wars show did Grievous: originally he gained his position in the CIS by beating Ventress and Durge in a 2v1 fight. Think about that.
Not to mention winning a 1v5 against jedi, two of which being councilmembers
@@bowlingpin3092 Yeah, and he didn't even have to do that. It was just sport to him, not a proper fight.
I feel bad for the peapole of Jabin
10:28 Gah! Wardrobe change!!!
CIS would've definitely won the Clone Wars in a timeline without Palpatine.
Assaj gave Anakin his scar.
Really? Because I’ve heard he got them from a war, from an abusive father, from an alley way, and many other stories.
How is there life on Venus like planet Gabin
👍👍
asajj ventress is backkkkkkkkkk
best sw yter
Kenobi was a true manace lol
Darts D'Nar only lasted that long because Obi-Wan was humoring him. Otherwise, he's nothing.
Ventress. Toe-to-toe with some of the best Jedi in the galaxy, didn’t need a political agenda to be that badass, she was just written that well.
So......somehow Durge survived?
Breh, Christophsis, not Christophis. Only mistake I've ever seen you make, I was beginning to think you were infallible.
Legal
All respect, Grievous was a half-ass baloney villain until the Clone Wars toon aired. In my opinion, they up-nerfed him in those. Grievous was the same when he died. Everyone forgets Obi-Wan learns from his mistakes - he's defensive.
👍
And some were competent ones😂
Grievous: *Insert tragic backstory *
Durge: Just a buisness, later personal.
Also I think that Disney is not understanding the nationalist movements. The Jabim Campaign is great example. The Nationalists won and then suddenly after the war they have joined Empire.
So the Jabim Rebels have defeated the Republic only to submit to the Empire that risen from the Republic 🤦♂️
How baked are you?
