Metallica “Fade to Black” one of the best written and composed songs ever
people talking about one, but that song is boring af. fade to black is way better.
@@paulcrumpacker2078 bro no way you said one is boring
@@paulcrumpacker2078 Nah bro I'm sorry but that opinion is wack as fuck. One absolutely slaps.
Fade to Black hits you different. And also One is fucking FIRE, the story telling is off the fucking charts.
@@Wilsbourne Sorry je parle pas anglais mais ce sera facile, pour moi c'est 1/ Nothing else matters 2/ One 3/Master Of Puppets c'est mon opinion personnel Hello de Swiss
this is actually the first in a trilogy, unforgiven 1 2 and 3 all connect
He has to react to the next 2 after this... It's a must.
The trilogy. I can't forgive you, I can't forgive society, I can't forgive myself.
And each Unforgiven in each song is targeting a different persona. It's great.
James hetfield wearing his heart on his sleeve.
This is the only one worth listening to
Dude, One by Metallica next! It will blow your mind
Agreed. He's gonna love One, the lyrics AND the sound/movement of the song
The video gonna distract he should do lyrics video.
Yes with oficial video
@@may2nary922 Nah the video ruins the song.
Lyric video...not the official video. The official video distracts from the lyrics.
Stevie you are a master at breaking down bars and lyrics. I’ve heard this song like 800 times and you broke it down better than I could in one listen. You’re in a class of your own among all the “reactors” in terms of getting in the artist’s mind space.
Facts!! I feel the same
Lol heard it just as much and you’re right
So many songs I have seen him catch things that I missed listening to the song hundreds of times, and I'm usually the one amongst people I know that catches things.
Agreed!
This right here. I’ve been listening to this song since I was a kid (I’m 28) and learned what it was about by someone listening for their first time. Stevie’s a boss.
People often look past the lyrics of metal because of "the screaming" but if you break down the lyrics you find some of the best stories in the world
Until I watched this video I never knew what he was saying after 30 years. 🥲
I will forever call Metal music poetry with heavy riffs and solos played over theme
Metallica doesn't scream
“Screaming” such a bullshit stereotype!! It’s just only one thing in metal, and not everybody is doing it, and everybody doesn’t do it the same way, style, phrasing!! It’s just a small shit, yes, some sub-genres do it more than the others, but metal is a very wide genre with complex and creative composition and songwriting! You can see metal as the sum of all antitheses! Fast, and slow, heavy, and soft, melodic, and rhythmic, vocal fries, and clean vocals, operatic wide range voices, and gritty vocals!!
More Metallica, Stevie; next is “One” lyric version....the Music and the lyrics will leave you in awe 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Both lyric and official video, from what I have seen of other reactors, for this song specifically you have to learn the song first or the video will overwhelm.
Definitely waiting for him to get around to "one"
Absolutely.

Give "fade to black" a listen. Great song written when James was in a very dark place in his life
Lol...because y
his amp was stolen
They all felt homesick and that's how that song was written. They were recording the album Ride the Lightning in Denmark.
Big Knight rockin' the tallica vibes! Enjoy the ride lad. \m/
@@frederickfelix1773 wtf you talking bout trick
But he hasn’t gotten to ride the lightning yet lmao
The whole Metallica Black album is a classic. Def in my top 10.
Top ten of what?
Top ten albums when said bands stop being said bands? I am thankful for the black album, because without it I would not have explored in their real music in their first 4 albums. I like black as a music lover but as a metallica fan? Meh
I pop it in my car and it stays in there for months and I get to wake up the Metallica every morning. What more could I ask for?
@@lewokecrybabyjames5828 So a band needs to stay the same way forever? How can you claim you like it "as a music lover" but not as a Metallica fan? That shit isn't logical at all.
@@lewokecrybabyjames5828 So because Black Album is different it’s not their ‘real music’. What Metallica have put out after 1991 doesn’t change the high quality of this Album.
Not to be dramatic, My brother and I grew up on Metallica, first concerts, etc. I lost him a few years ago to drugs and haven’t been able to listen to them until now and I enjoyed it so much. Thank you. ☺️
Sorry for your loss
Im so sorry for your loss 🙏
Sorry for your loss. The same goes for my Dad and the things I learned from him that I loved. I'm trying to over come that mental block. Sending good vibes and prayers your way 🤟🏽
I absolutely love how you stop to understand and appreciate what us rock fans are drawn to relate to from a young age reaching for an outlet suppose just as young kids in America are drawn to hip/hop. I've never watched any other reaction video host that REALLY strives to understand like you do and its beautiful to watch. Thankyou
Oh I'm super excited about this one!
Welcome home (sanatarium) lyrics 🔥
i really like how u analyse the lyrics of every song
keep it up!!
much love from austria
Metallica, the sounds of my youth!
What an album.
Your talent for understanding the lyrics is incredible. I had to look it up to understand it but you came up and explained the whole song. 👏
man you hit the lyrics right on the head. i was a teen just vibing out in the 90s abused by family and listening to this.
Fade to black is my fave by them. Loved the reaction, it’s great to see you getting into a genre so near and dear to me. I see you going through the same musical journey with rock that I currently am with rap.
Stevie im glad you are listening to other genres like this im glad you are interested
First time seeing your content this is legit man love the real reaction!!!! WELCOME TO THE ROCK FAMILY!!!!
I just found your channel today but you’re already my favorite reactor. You actually understand the meanings of the songs.
Bro, “One” and “Nothing else matters”. You won’t regret it. Master of Puppets might be a good one too. Nvm on the master of puppets 😂😂
Bro, your commentary is spot on. If only everyone felt the same way. Good on you .... got a subscriber now.
I need the Stevie Knight Metallica breakdowns. BARSSSS
Three minutes into this video and I already gave it a thumbs up. You’re truly a student of lyrical talent. Well done, as usual.
it's really nice to see someone hear and see the lyrics and paint a picture of a story for themselves
I dont think theres been anyone that can speak with a guitar like kirk hammett
I love that your branching out into rock. Epic job breaking down the lyrics as well!
It's metal, not rock....
Love this guys reactions
Wow just wow the way to DISECT the lyric and explain is so wow. much Respect From MALAYSIA. #STAYSAVEBESAVE
Get on "One"! Crazy video, crazy lyrics and insane instramentals!
Oh man. Would love to see an unforgiven 2 reaction Stevie!
You are so intelligent bro. You get it and explain it so others can understand too. Much respect and love to you for being so diverse. You brother are an amazing person for real.
Not just family..... community and wider society also....love ya brother
You figured this out very quickly; respect! Got the family aspect of it right. James went through some trauma in his childhood, as has Kirk btw. Love your reactions!
I love rock music too. It also one of the most critic lyrics n music in history like shady. Rockstar
Stevie please do “One” by Metallica, one of their best songs.
Love this track... special thing about it that it switched the classic metal formula of heavy chorus and slower vocal parts.... make this song even more impactful.
Man you're so right about music, and i always thought people missed the lyrics in metallica because they're so well written but i understand its not everybodys taste in music.
You gotta do part 2 and 3 Stevie this the goat trilogy mane got tooo mane. If u don’t react just listen. Unforgiven 1 2 3.
Stevie gonna freak when he hears the bars In “one” by Metallica
You’re very thoughtful, man! Bravo
Diggin you doin more rock and metal. Hellyeah!
I respect that even if you dont vibe with the music itself that you are very much respecting and enjoying the genre for everything that people wont tell you its actually about. Rock/Metal is so much more than big drums and heavy guitars and gritty voices and i love that reaction channel or not you are able and willing to put that behind you and just focus on the content of the genre and music itself. much love man and look forward to future videos
Spectacular reaction man.
I like your videos because you actually understand what the songs are about, a lot of these type of channel dont.
It hits harder the more you listen man. I love this shit. Your reactions to music I grew up with is awesome. You feel what I felt first time hearing it. you pay attention to the lyrics aside from the music. And that's Good shit.
You da man!! You don't just listen and react..you really listen and understand the life lesson the guy's say in song. You get into the true meaning of each song. Thank you for truly understanding METALLICA...
Would love for Stevie to move over to some Grunge shit. Him reacting to Alice in Chains would be mad. Entice him in with some big hitters like rooster and then let him explore himself.
METALLICA WHEREVER I MAY ROAM
Great breakdown. You do it better than most.
Gooo shot bro...glad to see the appreciation for music like I have...to dawg...I know you busy but that Dax “next rap god”...has 10 minutes of bars can’t wait to see that breakdown
Just a quick note, this was the one, don't know why. You spit some truth in the first 4 minutes. 3 videos later, I subscribed. Much love!
One thing to appreciate about older music genres is the talent it takes to write the lyrics, play the instruments and sing...and no autotune. When you start to appreciate those things, you'll enjoy the music even more! Keep on keepin on!
Love the breakdown!! I see it in a lot of different ways. Could be family, could be a job someone got, could be religion, could be a group of friends you made at a young age that he couldn't break free from.
I love this song. The music speaks to me, but I am a Hip Hop and Metal head so I grew up with this!
Great reaction Stevie!
The thing about metal/rock whatever you want to call it, is about life, feelings and ways people deal with their lives, I wish more people, like you, would give it a chance and listen, read the lyrics and enjoy the music and talented musicians, Thankyou for giving yourself some new horizons, it’s good to see 😁
Thank you for listening to our struggle
I love this song it one of my favorite one from them
That's the reason I subscribed, you dissect the lyrics .
steve a 61
young soul from canada can only say -God bless you .When the bulb goes off to when you see your soul ,which comes through music Youll be be so happy.Thats all we need and matters.Rock and all music will give you that to feed you .All the best from Canada
WE NEED A ALBUM REVIEW OF WHOLE BLACK ALBUM!!!
Absolutely! The whole album is very deep.
@@joscor35 My favorite album of all time! In any genre
As a metalhead it is an absolute delight seeing you listen to the old classics and break them down. I think it's extra enjoyable Because it's outside your comfort zone, because you don't usually listen to this stuff. Just like Master of puppets though, you get what they're talking about right away.
Listening to you talk about actually listening to songs in first few minutes, I’m distracted by the ceiling fan being out of balance.
💯🤯 SK! It's super cool that you're
down with some Metallica‼🔥🤟
Really like your channel...watching you from New Zealand....we got bars over here....
I appreciate everything you do man. Together we gonna free this world man.
Just you two together? Or all of us?
Doesn't matter what genre. If it makes you feel, it's good music
And justice for all the whole album is mind blowing aggressive is how we love our heavy metal ps seen them 2x in the 90s still thrashing and I am 59 yrs old love your reaction and understanding of real music sold my soul for Rock and Roll 🤘
Ur killing it bro
You don’t have to like a genre of music to appreciate it. And it’s great that you are expanding your life by delving into other types of music. I think listening to and appreciating different kinds of music or anything that’s out of the norm in our lives makes us better people and better to each other. You won’t walk past an obvious metal head and not be able to relate to them. And that’s what the world needs- all people to not judge other people. Love your reaction ‘
Awesome seeing somebody see these songs for the first time and really dive into the lyrics.
This is the first of a trilogy, by the way, and they get even better. Wait til you hit #3!
Music is the language of the gods. Language of the soul. This is how we come together.
Sad but True my brother, another one to analyze but it’s heavyyy
Steve as you see we all live the same…..not all are blesed
Growing up in the 90s I used listen to this song and think yeah you cant tell me what to do and really got the blood flowing. After having my own seeing him grow, there is a whole other side I couldn't see before. To me this is a warning. I never realized what young boys were like till I raised one, and you MUST instill rules and discipline. It must be done but it in a way that builds the structure needed but not the animosity to society at large.
You can literally apply the meaning of the lyrics to just about any aspect of life whether it about culture, religion politics, personal relationships. This is one of my favorite Metallica songs. And one of their better known and loved tracks.
Lotta folks talking about "One" and "Fade to Black" and such, and for good reason, but I'd suggest "For Whom The Bell Tolls" for a story. It's my favorite bell-themed metal song.
Edit: OOH! OOH! Or "The Memory Remains!"
Goats of rock! If not the greatest
Stevie has boarded the metal roller coaster
Being and staying our own master has never been easy.
One..for sure, but also love to see Stevie break down Sanitarium! After One
That's good shit bro. Do more tool lyrics videos too!! Keep it up!
The video to this has never left my head....
Great reaction. Sometimes the words helps understand the metal
Love it, Do Unforgiven pt 2!!!
Thanks to you on all your channels, thanks for stepping outside your comfort zone with an open mind, I've always turned off rap cause the music is just repetitive but you opened my mind to their messages, so thanks to you again & looking forward to you braudening your horizon 🤘
the Unforgive is a trilogy of songs, 1,2 and 3 and the Unforgiven 3 will blow your mind with one of the most epic guitar solo ive ever heard
One of my favorites by Metallica 🖤 🤘🏼 I love playing Metallica songs loud while I’m driving. 😎
Good to see you appreciate art of all forms 👊 it may not be "your genre" but the talent is undeniable! Would be good to see you dive into some more of the great bands 👌
Yes man...i hiphop lover...ilove my goat eminem...and i started interesting with metallica...first song i heard enter sandman
Fire from the gods - excuse me.. BARS 🔥
Hell yeah SK let's do this.
Need to do One and Disposable Heroes, pretty cool seeing you dive into Metallica
I've been a Metallica fan since the day I was born. My mom went to the black album concert while 8 months pregnant with me. You're picking up things on your first listen that I didn't pick up until YOU broke it down. Best barologist on UA-cam bar none (pun intended)
Gotta do a reaction to creeping death…either live or lyrics…that’s a deep/angry one…you’ll get it right away
Masterpiece
Loved this reaction!!! Thank you. I recommend the music video of their song "The day that never comes"
Thanks!
There are 3 versions of unforgiving. New sub here keep rocking.
