    • @eldridge201

      Although the dealer should have said something, the reality is, the damage was already done as soon as the card was turned over so what are they really going to be able to do? Unfortunately, the dealer in these games probably really doesn't have much authority to do much of anything. Sure, they are supposed to keep control of the game and do many things but the reality is, these people are millionaires and in some cases like Eric persons, billionaires. The whole reason why people are watching the streams is to see these types of people play so you're going to see a few more things that you may be wouldn't normally see. And as a result, the dealer is probably not really going to be able to do much of anything for the most part. But again, what could they have done at that point anyway other than mention that there was somebody else in the hand. Even doing that doesn't change anything because the card was already shown so it doesn't really matter if the dealer does say something. The influence is already going to be there prior to the dealer saying anything.

    • @HighXRoller
      @HighXRoller 7 місяців тому +1

      Understand that high limit tv games are very different than regular games. Meaning, much of the times, they let the fish get away with things that are normally enforced 100% of the time in a normal poker room setting. Like others stated, it’s more relaxed like a private game or home game. For example, Eric Persons swearing, antics, and flipping people off are grounds for him to be kicked out, however, it makes for good tv. With that being said, showing cards in multi way action should not be allowed even in this instance with these groups of people. It’s clear half these players are serious players and dont like these types of playstyles. What I’m trying to get at, is don’t take it out on the dealer when theyre told most times that these are more like private home games, where the players usually do things that arent allowed in normal cash games. The pros let the whales get away with things more than regular players, and they don’t want dealers to keep telling them No, no, no, when all they do is donk off chips. There IS a fine line between letting players get away with things that no one minds, and enforcing rules that might deter players from enjoying a private home game. Unfortunately for dealers, it is a lose lose scenario.

    I've seen a bunch of comments about how it was the dealer's job to step in here. The fact of the matter is that in a high stakes game like this you have to do what Han did and stand up for yourself-the dealer's not going to give you any help. I've talked to dealers who work at the Aria and they've told me that in the high stakes suite they are specifically instructed to dummy up and deal. They understand the players run that game and will deal with breaches of etiquette/rules themselves. If you as a dealer try to insert yourself into that process the players will run you right out of that game and you won't be getting any more downs in there.

    Han and Eric both have a right to be pissed here.
    If it’s heads up, sure you can reveal one or even both your cards if you want to (altho in my opinion never a good idea).
    But when there’s more than one other player in the pot, this is tampering with the table.
    Even if you folded an irrelevant 2 7 pre-flop, that’s information that could skew the actual poker play on the table.

    I can see Han's point when relating to bluffs but in the bigger picture this situation happening gives Han a major advantage... He gets extra information while still not having acted. If anything Person should be the one getting pissed as it kills his action (by someone either folding a K, or possibly even bluffing with worse).

    This also applies to players mucking their hand out of turn. For example, a three way pot after the river and the first player checks and the second player open mucks. Now the third player only has to bluff the first player to win. There is no penalty in a cash game for these actions. I'm not sure how we enforce something without a penalty.

He only did it after pressure from others

    Agree he should not have showed a card with another person in the hand, don't think there was anything intentional but he did acknowledge that he Han, is folding so he did know he was in the hand. He just didn't want to gamble with Eric so that's why he folded, it wasn't a good read at all.....

  • @ehoffman2260

    Not only did he show the Jack to everyone, he also flashed one of his two cards to Eric later. Don’t know if it was the Jack or the Queen. This would have been very ugly if Eric didn’t have Han beat. The guy was wrong on every level.
