I have left Homonyomous heminopia. It doesn't get better, but you learn to work around it by scanning left to right. I'm not quite at a year. My blind cane let's others know to move in case I don't see them

I had a stroke a couple months ago. I can see and drove today some. It affected my left side but I can see my side vision. I’m near sighted but it’s a little hard now to read print like my Bible.

I have a field cut on the right side and want to treat it. Idk if there’s anything I can do at this point cause it’s caused by a stroke 15 years ago. I’d really love to try to treat it

Doesn't the examination for visual field loss (e.g., homonymous hemianopsia) test each eye in isolation ?
If a person had a left hemisphere stroke that affected the optic tract (via MCA) - the right visual field may be lost- but this would affect BOTH eyes via the corresponding optic nerves (e.g., from the left temporal retina, right nasal retina) ... Mean that each eye would need to be tested in isolation due to binocular vision?

Doctors and therapists have noted I'm an interesting case. The vaAhas no cochlear implants, or stem cell treatments, or any of the really interesting things I've noticed. Uncle Sam sold me a larger dream than I could afford

Thanks. But I've tried that before and they don't know what to do. I'd like to get my licence back to be more independant.

I've kinda compensated for it, by being aware of it. I've forced myself to always look left.
