have there been cases where individuals have their vision fully restored after suffering a hemianopia from stroke?
Yes. With that said. Every case is different, and most people want as much vision as they can recover whether or not it is 100%. There are many variables in every stroke case to consider. Type of stroke, severity, age of patient, age of symptom, affected brain areas, type of VF loss etc etc. So each case is its own thing.
I have a ishqmic stroke 4 months before. My eyesight effected and some visual fields gone. Please inform me about my sight will get full recovery or not?

I did not have a stroke but I had my pituitary tumor removed after that was done my vision was off and then in the hospital I contracted meningitis when I came to my vision is now blurry, double and everything looks on the dark side so I am legally blind my right eye is about 85% totally blind in the left eye is like 20/500 something like that Can you guys help me I am 47 years old and cannot drive anymore also

Can stroke cause optic neuritis
A stroke won’t cause optic neuritis but they can be associated. For example whatever causes an optic neuritis, can lead to stroke. -- Per Dr. Julie.
