I have an 05 f150 crew cab with a blown engine. I am thinking about doing this swap. What transmission are you using? Did it bolt up to your transfer case?
Bro! I have a 2005 F150 with a 4.6 in it. I would really love to drop a 4bt and there when this modular finally goes blam. It has 275,000 hard miles on it, this truck has been a true champion, so I want to keep it alive, don't really care the cost, but if I do a swap it has to be a diesel. Definitely send me some build notes if you wouldn't mind.
Before you do this, look at the OM606 and 6BT. The OM606 weighs less and has two extra cylinders, also makes a ton more power and is more efficient overall. The 4BT also has the crank pin issue, which is just a manufacturing quirk that you gotta look out for.
If I didn't do the solid axle swap, it would have cost me $3k net. Probably around 8k if you don't sell anything you take off. If you don't ship for deals, plan to pay a lot more.

There is a harmonic balancer on there.
