Games do NOT look the same on the Quest3 compared to the Quest2. As per your own review the Quest 3 has virtually no sweet-spot and it's resolution eliminates screen-door effect and makes everything more resolved in combination with the pancake lenses. - Nope the Quest3 makes all games (thus the gaming experience) look better right out of the box. Far less eye fatigue. Not to mention the better movement due to faster processing ... The Quest3's graphics is way better than the Quest2 for multiple reasons... Just the fact that you can look all over the scene without seeing any blur is enough to want to get it! I'd pay $500 just for that!

@@gatesroyale disagree with this disagree, coming from quest 2, you can see the resolution bump and the clarity, although I will say that the extra clarity from the pancake lenses reveals more of some games flaws since on quest 2 it wasn't clear enough to notice them.
@@LilRenlor that’s exactly my point not much of a difference, not worth the amount of money in my opinion until they can produce some games that actually take affect on the processing power as well as the resolution until then I will be returning mine

0:41 in the beginning barely any games or compatibility. So nowadays i think the range of games and abilities within the system grants longer anticipated use

Hi Seth: when commenting about the phone level graphics: yes it is what you would expect from a mobile device. However, try Red Matter2; de version on the Quest2 already looked great, the Quest3 version is actually pretty close to PCVR quality! It seems that the graphics chip really is about 2x as good as the quest2 and the main reason games look so cartoonish is the “laziness’ of the programmers. The upcoming Asgard’s wrath and Assassin’s Creed also look pretty good.
I never played Red Matter. It was on sale for $14.99 figured, I would give it a go. Wow, this game is Awesome!. The puzzles are kind of time consuming but, not too hard. I bought Red Matter 2 but, haven’t played it yet. I will once I finish Red Matter part 1. This part 1 looks Great! Did they do a Quest 3 upgrade for it as well..?
@@WOojerVest3andQuest3onMe Not yet but I read that the PSVR2 version was released with updated graphics , so it seems logical that they will update it for Q3 as well ... but I bet their people also have 2 hands per person max. I can see you want to play Red Matter before RM2, but it seems that won't work.
@@arnovanwingerde8589 well, the graphics already look pretty good on the quest 3 in Red Matter so if they didn’t even do the upgrade yet. I am excited to see what it will look like with the improved visuals. Just having a hard time finding this bishop chess piece. I am stuck at the moment. This game is awesome.

If you already own the Meta Quest 2 I really don't see a big need to upgrade to the Quest 3 unless you just really want that extra boost.

One of the best things you can do with these is 4xvr player since it can play full-quality 3D blu-rays. Unbelievable option and looks amazing

@@skywalkr2 4xvr player is an app in the meta app lab! if you have 3d blu-ray movies you can use makemkv to turn them into a file that the app can play.

I can't decide if I want to get the quest 3 or another vr headset. I already have a good pc, so was mainly thinking of playing games from steam. Or is quest 3 still a good option for that? Anyone know what I should get?
Wait for the new valve pcvr headset , even the valve index is so old yet much better than the quest 3

This quest 3 is a no brainer for this price.. i am a pcvr guy with some highend headsets what i used and some i still have.. but I prefer this quest 3 now.. I have and had the varjo vr3,star vr one,pimax crystal,pimax 8kx.. But the fun factor of this device is unmatched.. Great wireless(on a 6e network) great lenses,great resolution.. some very very slight screendoor.. But i enjoy this quest 3 more then my highend pcvr headset.. it looks crazy good with some good pcvr games!
What allot of people don't know is that the Varjo headsets have poor binocular overlap, which can cause eye strain for many people.
Ah, but so does the Quest3! In fact in other forum, sobody got headaches with Quest3, which might be due to this effect. It does not seem to bother most people though.@@seattime4075

@@kaankucuk1612 thats the only one i need to try yet for myself... it does suffer from glare.. but oled blacks are great to have again..And the field off view could be a bit better..
@@metalceesie219 I also asked a guy who has aero, guest 3 and Bigscreen Beyond, he said the TOP 1 is BSB vr, if not quest 3 , he put aero in the third place…., the glare issue is not too noticeable as he mentioned on BSB headset… but yeah, it seems quest 3 is winner
I bought the quest 1, used, for a 100 bucks. Got tired of it after a couple days and haven't touched it since. On the contrary,..I'm STILL playing Command and Conquer (xbox 360), I must have 10,000 hours on that game. I've found that the WOW factor only lasts a couple days, as opposed to the FUN factor which lasts indefinitely. Therefor, I'll hold off on the Quest 3 until a great game comes out on it, like, say, Borderlands!
this is exactly why I havent gotten a VR headset yet, they are VERY COOL but get old fast, and almost everyone I know who has one doesnt even touch it anymore
there are tons of cool games on steam for them....

Look up blade and sorcery or Pavlov, spent hundreds of hours playing those.
Problem is there’s no a lot of games with quality especially on stand alones
Incorrect, the quest 3 is 40% thinner than the quest 2 WITH the facial interface. Look up a side by side image of a person wearing the quest 2 vs quest 3, even with the facial interface, the headset sets 40% closer to your face.

Honestly. If I were given an option between the quest 2 or 3. I'd with with quest 2 because I have no use really for any of the new features and there's better battery life on the quest 2

Heard turning off 120hz and hand tracking helps battery life.

This review is also way off. The FOV is not 120, it’s 110. Also, where as it doesn’t look much slimmer than the Q2, it is a good bit more slim which is why it feels lighter on the face. They changed absolutely nothing about the weight distribution. The battery is still in the front. Way too much info off the beating path here, but it makes sense I’m that you said you buy a vr headset and never use it…idk why you’re even reviewing this product

@@skywalkr2 eh I play Into the Breach and Golf+ for the most part. Also dick around with a ton of mods. It’s true that we haven’t gotten any sort of crazy amount of games, but there’s plenty for me.
So even on pc with the same gpu its still a way better experience? worth upgrading for 500+ USD ?

Lol, I was looking up reviews and said wait a minute, this is Seth the sneaker guy?? Your closing comment though pretty sums it up for me. I have the quest 2 but barely use it, the 3 would just be an enhanced version of that with not much to do. Can’t say totally entertained by VR alone.

Yes, but, it is still Awesome! It has games you can’t experience in the Meta quest 3. I am currently playing Resident Evil 4 on my Quest 3 but, I am more excited to play Resident Evil 4 on the PSVR2 😉👌
People who buy a psvr2 do it because they already own a ps5 regardless. you are assuming people are buying the ps5+psvr2 together. thats probably a very rare scenario so your wording is very misleading to make it sound like thats how much psvr2 is.. the main customers will have bought a ps5 already and use it for other reasons outside vr. psvr2 is actually very impressive for its price point.. the lenses are not that important while you're in game.. and gaming is all the psvr2 is really good for anyway.. the oled and eye tracking more than makes up for it... i have psvr2 for gaming and quest 3 i dont play games on because its not at the same level.. i use quest 3 for other apps or maybe the odd exclusive game thats not on ps5
@@yenneferofvengerberg9588 the fact that you said the lenses aren’t that important while gaming shows how casual you are though. Pancake lenses are leagues above fresnel, and it makes a huge difference while gaming. Clarity is way better, almost no godrays, almost no blurry white text. All that makes a massive difference while in game

I would have liked to hear more about the stationary capabilities, I didn't care for them that much in the quest number two. I what often try to play blade and sorcery sitting down, but the functionality felt like it confused the headset🫡👑
