I just bought this bike the start of 4th July weekend. I’ve never operated a motorcycle until I bought this one. I learned how to ride on this bike in about 30 minutes (I have experience driving manual transmissions, so that helped a lot learning how to shift gears). I love this bike. A lot of videos say this bike doesn’t have a whole lot of power, but this thing is pretty zippy. Because it’s my first bike I don’t have anything to compare it to, but it’s a fantastic bike with plenty of power for me. I took it on the highway and maintained 70+ mph no problem. Easy gear shifting. Braking seems ok with proper distancing. Agile and light beyond belief. Just a great bike, truthfully. Perfect for beginners. Honestly, if I started out with a stronger bike I’d probably regret getting a bike. This thing keeps me plenty humble until I gain more experience. Just get one! 👍 My personal opinion, get some sort storage capacity. Not having available storage has been an issue for me. Of course sliders and security instruments are a must. There’s a built in helmet lock under the seat, so it’s not necessary to buy one unless for preference. I am buying 3rd party levers due to one of them snapping when I dropped the bike 🤦♂️ luckily that was the worst of the damage and it’s just the rounded end that snapped off. Shorter ones should prevent this from happening again. Ehh 🤷♂️
All great points! Definitely ride some other bikes when you're confident to do so I love experiencing other bikes regardless of the cc. Yeah my wife dropped this mt03 also just a little damage really surprised honestly. Thanks for the comment, happy riding!🤙
Great video, glad your wife is loving it. I bought a 2020 MT 03 for my first bike after the MSF course. I'm 5'10 and 175lbs and I love this bike. Its easily controllable, not too scary to full throttle and so easy to turn. I couldn't be happier with it.
Dude yes glad you got it as a starter bike man! Insanely reliable, very comfortable, and so nimble in the streets. Let me know if you decide to do some mods to it💯💯
Bought my first bike this year a 2020 R3 and it’s awesome. Hopefully buying a second bike next year. Either the z900, Ducati monster 821 Stealth, or the new Aprilia RS660.
Ayyy lets goo! Glad you got the fundamentals down man. I love my Z900 youll get a great trade in offer for your bike too. The Z is the best bike for the price- plus theres a low power mode on it you can use to start getting comfortable with it. I took the play out of the throttle and its a power wheelie machine👀 Also all or most Ducatis have to be serviced at a Ducati dealer and they need to be frequently serviced more than the other bikes in the class. Let me know what you decide on dude, thanks for commenting!💯
Thank you for this video. I started on a Suzuki GD110, then a Yamaha YB125, picking up a Suzuki TU250 in a couple days and was considering the MT-03 and the R3. I prefer the MT because I don't like putting all my weight on my hands, which the R3 requires. Yes, I'm riding bikes with small engines because I'm in Viet Nam. Road conditions and traffic prevent a rider from fully opening up a bike here, plus the 120% tax on a bike with an engine larger than 125cc. Riders will never get to take full advantage of an engine over 250cc.
Awesome to hear! Yes you're right the r3 is more committed than the mt03 BUT my friend had one and from what we could tell it you're not as leaned forward as an R6. Thanks for watching!
5’8 and 32 inseam. My calf and ankle starts feeling cramped 30-45 mins into a long freeway ride. Super nimble and light. Forgiving throttle and brake. Superior learning for newbs and not intimidating. Cheap operation/maintenance/insurance costs.
Great video! Your comments above mirrored my thinking and I'm picking this bike up from the dealer today. I want a Ducati Monster but at 53 years old and this being my first street bike, I knew it would be best to start with a bike lie this. Very excited!
Ayyy glad I could help! I'm flat footing the bike and I feel a little too heavy on it/tall for it. But still comfortable, I've done long 2-3 hour rides on it and I'm still alive!😂
I think you'll manage fine but to be sure, sit on the bike for a good 15minutes and see if you feel comfortable on it! Tha ks for commenting I appreciate it💯💯
It doesn't scream/buzz at those speeds actually, not til 90mph I think. Rent one on twisted road if you can. Honda CB300F will scream around 75mph haha same with my DRZSM
Hahaha I see the goat! Speaking of which, anyone ever think the Ducati Multistrada straight up looks like one of those bird characters on a totem pole with that protruding curved beak?? It always reminds me of one and I can’t NOT see that when I see one of those bikes lol
I picked up this bike a few weeks back and I like it. I’m 6’0” and I feel like I’m pushing it for being slightly too tall but it’s still pretty comfy for me. Had to order a windscreen though. Wind is brutal at hwy speeds.
Right on man yeah I hear that, freeway speeds and winds can be annoying. I used to commute on the freeway on a drz400sm and had a crappy helmet, upgraded to the icon airflite and the high speeds with it made such a difference I don't mind not having a windscreen thats just me tho
About 7500mi I believe! No probs whatsoever and I barely maintain it. I just finished a 4 year review vid dropping today or tomorrow thanks for watching!
Hey brother, the video was directed towards the beginner audience who might be apprehensive towards the power of their first bike. If you got the skills you can def wheelie it!
@@GoGoober What is request max speed for under 1000 km? im afraid to go faster my bike has 490 km and still has no first service to 1000 km sry my english is bad

I did same. I'm 5'-7" and this bike is almost too small when placing feet on the foot pegs. Love the bike. I have the silver and red though.
Best beginner bike ever! The looks of a sport bike, but the comfortability and size for a new rider! Awesome video! Can’t wait to see more 😍

More of a city sprinter for short errands and thrill rides, rather than for extended long distance sessions.

Just bought a slightly used one of these, same in black. Been having a blast as i get more confident on it, first bike ever.
Awesome man!! It is a blast to ride and reliable bike at that👍
I’m exactly your size and am thinking of getting the same bike. Your video just helped me make my choice. Thanks man.
Ayyy right on!! Glad I could help. The Mt03 is a great ride and can't go wrong with the looks🔥🔥
THANK YOU FOR BEING 6’1” 190 so hard to find a review from someone not 5’8”
Ayyy glad I could help! I'm flat footing the bike and I feel a little too heavy on it/tall for it. But still comfortable, I've done long 2-3 hour rides on it and I'm still alive!😂
Damn short people. There are no bikes for tall people ....🙄
My stock drz400s is for tall people haha
Great video!
Im 6'1 and thinking about buying it as my first bike. Should i think about buying another bike because of hight?
I think you'll manage fine but to be sure, sit on the bike for a good 15minutes and see if you feel comfortable on it! Tha ks for commenting I appreciate it💯💯
I just got it and im 6’3, i feel comfortable on it
That's good you feel comfortable on your new MT! My knees run into the tank and isn't as comfy as my Z900, have fun out there🤙
Yes
I'm 6'1 will super long legs, what bike would you suggest in the beginner range?
Bro the move would be a Suzuki DRZ400SM it's literally too easy to ride! I'll make a review on mine- still have it to this day😢
Hey man how is this bike at 75-80mph meaning is very buzzy? Or is it screaming for bloody murder?
It doesn't scream/buzz at those speeds actually, not til 90mph I think. Rent one on twisted road if you can. Honda CB300F will scream around 75mph haha same with my DRZSM
Hello guy.. I have one. Black too. Hugs from Brasil!
Right on man the black one is so sexy! Good choice! I appreciate the comment🔥
It's so beautiful 😍🖤 can't wait to get one
Thanks man!! It's a great reliable bike, the wife already wants to upgrade to the 07🤪
All the review call this a bike for new riders. I think it looks like a great commuter.
What is the MPG observed on it around town (anyone)?
True! I'd say around 70MPG- thanks for commenting💯
Nice bike
I am planning on buying this color and later paint it like the one mt07
Blue rims and front fork gold
Niicee! Yeah I know which one you're talking about they look so nice, my friend has the Grey and high vis yellow MT09 also looks siiick🔥👌
Hi gogoober. You said you are not happy with the stock tyres, did you change them?
Not yet! Would love to put on dunlop Q3+ tires🤙
@@GoGoober I am thinking of bridgestone s22 battlax
Also an awesome tire! Good stuff🔥
Interesting review... the kitty socks your wearing pushed it into the “liked” zone. 😂

Also been riding for 25 plus years. Wanted something cheap that I could commute to work on.

As a naked bike, wind annoyed me a little when I got my MT03, a year ago. Not anymore, even at highway speeds.
How many miles do you have on it now? And has their been any problems with it?
About 7500mi I believe! No probs whatsoever and I barely maintain it. I just finished a 4 year review vid dropping today or tomorrow thanks for watching!
I wonder why you said that you can’t do wheelies on it..

What about z400?? Is it better from mt03 ?
Would love to test ride a z400! I hear the z600 is really not fun at all in terms of torque and get up and go😬
@@GoGoober well I hear that z400 faster so ... I like the. Way u make review on mt03 next time do it on z400 n also compared between them!
