You should do this again using 10 colors. And...
Have 'short cuts' where the gate has to be activated by showing two colors at once, allowing a participant to bypass a section of the track, such as a steep hill, rough terrain, hairpin turn, etc.

I would have made my color wheel or cards out of cardboard to save weight.
A different thing you can do is a race with no tires, but the colors of each block has to be different on the tires
And the same concept as this race, but the sensors are for tires/wheels instead of the body of the car
