Yay SM modding tutorial! I did watch Durfs tutorial but it’s outdated. I would like to see a parts tutorial, things like custom shapes, collision and connection points, then interactive parts.
this was helpful up to when icons stopped working and the textures i used stopped working on random blocks for some reason if u use the same textures multiple times it bugs out

I did everything like you did but for some reason all the textures are random every time I rejoin, like my glass block one time looks like a grass block and the next time looks like some transparent wood, also the icons are not like the block.
How would you add a multi block block, like how an engine takes up the space of multiple blocks? I'd love to try and figure out how to add those train tracks into a survival mode custom mode or something, EDIT ah yes, they are called parts, of course.
I have a question, can I edit someone else's mods? since I have to change the properties of the rockets in one mod, they are just too slow for my planes
make a mod with a yeet tool and yeet engine everytime you yeet a creation or animal you get more yeet energy batteries with those batteries you can power a yeet engine that yeets anything it touches so put the engine on the front of the vehicle and the yeet engine is way to powerful
just saying, in gimp, on the layer tool, you can go one tab to the right, then you can see each channel independently (rgba) would have been nice if you had shown that for the brick texture
@@Dr-Pixel thats why i'm here :3 You can actually hide the alpha layer from there so one can see everything at 100% opacity making editing asp files way easier

There is no official mod support for it. You would have to mess with the files yourself.

Changing the weight of e.g the vending machine. I have the Fant mod and my airship/mobile base is a bit heavy.

one suggestion i do have is you should have shown how to modify the icon. and the icon map as it might be confusing for some beginners

Yes, but why not use the mod tool? It's faster and less error prone. You can always edit the raw json files later.
