OMG, thank you so much for sharing!! 😀 I Just tried this, and it worked!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 The colors are POPPIN!! I only had 5x7 canvases but they turned out absolutely beautiful. To ensure the edges were smoothed out, i waited for my heat press to cool down some and the pressed each side of the canvases up against the press plate for about 3 seconds and it smoothed them out nicely. No jagged edges. 🌟 I can't wait to try this on bigger sizes.
Chonita, I enjoy all your videos. Next time you sub a canvas, try this. Leave about a quarter inch of laminate around the canvas. Don't trim it. Press your image, then fold the extra laminate to the back of the canvas and tape it down. Now you have a canvas wrap with the image on the sides. Make sure to print your image a little bigger to cover the laminate.
If you ever mess up and leave some color you can get the cricut infusable mark wrapped and match the color and heat it up a little bit and the color will blend
Yasss Chonita honey! You go girl with ya black girl magic!! Live from my daughters account but I’m a newbie and I am learning so much from your videos! Thank you!!

Wowza you rocked it!! Looks so good! Thank you for your video! I’ve been trying this but my pictures don’t seem to take into canvas all way. I’m trying the scotch Laminate now. Thanks again!!
I love them. I am trying some out tomorrow to give out to my family from my aunt 74th birthday party. Keep it coming; u have taught me so much. Ty so much.
I enjoyed your personality and advice! Will watch more videos thank you so much! You can also trip the mouse pad if you don't want to use magic marker, no?
I saw this video some time ago, and subscribed. I forgot to come back to get your tips!!! I messed up a mousepad but now I know to print the full 8.5x11. Thanks so much!!! Have you done the Digi girls? I saw them on Etsy, and want to make some mousepads with them.
I probably wouldn’t because those get squished and moved around a lot in your purse they have sublimation cosmetic bags I have a few I might do a video on them…
Question: if you lay the picture face up on table and lay canvas face down on top and tape it maybe you can center it better what do you think? and is that an ink jet printer that you use? by the way the pictures and the mouse pad came out beautiful, loving the colors. and the matte finish on the mouse pad.
I'm very new to sublimation, cut and print, and everything in between. I haven't even began to try this method. I've watched several of these videos. I noticed a recurring issue with the lamination is lent. That tells me that there's some sort of static that attracts the lent and causes it to cling to the lamination paper(?). So my questions are: Would it be safe and efficient to use a dryer sheet to decrease the static on the laminate? And to remove the lent, without compromising it's integrity? My apologies if I'm not using the correct terminology. I appreciate any help with this, in advance.
May I suggest laying her pic face up then place the mousepad on top and line it up that way. While holding the mouse pad down use a rotary cutter to trim the paper around the mouse pad. Then while still holding the pad down use something to weight it down and use the heat tape to keep it in place by pulling up the side just enough to place the tape upside down on the pic and attach it to the pad. Hope that made sense
It will be really faded sublimation directly on the canvas. Sublimation requires a poly surface to accept the ink. Canvas boards and cotton t-shirts will look washed-out
I just see if I think something was too hot or not hot enough and I adjust accordingly... sometimes I’m like ohhhh I didn’t have to press that long or hot... other times I’m like it needs to be hotter and longer... for sublimation the standard time is 400 60 secs but sometimes that’s too long and hot

No that would make it worse, as the Laminate is sticky on one side. Best thing to do is put it right on your canvas when you open it. Hope this helps
