Thank you for the review Sam. Have been waiting to hear your impressions of this shoe.
Two pairs of version 1 have served me very well over many Ks - and now I'm keen to take a closer look at version 3 when it comes to Australia.

Big difference and such a superior ride blending the Guide Sole, softer more energetic foam, the new flex and lighter weight.

Love my Glideride 2s. I prefer the stiffer toe box and like the firm ride. Hope they didn't make this pillowy soft. The external heel counter never bothered me. Thanks for the review.

Ha, what a twist in the plot! I was heading towards Nimbus (again).
Now, the Glideride with new features has gone favorite.
    2 notes:
I dropped then already flat Nimbus¹⁹ for that cool bounce of the Glideride¹
But! While Nimbus is great slow tempo cruiser, Glideride need some speed to bounce back.
On tired legs (marathon) Glideride was a brick.
Good to hear G³ will be "killing me softly" ...soon... 😎
...after I'm done with G¹. I almost gave up on them, but got them reinvented for intervals and tempo workouts.
No need for superlight racer for that job.

They have not the right toebox. I tried them, and returned.
Apart that they are perfect, perfect transition, perfect outsole, perfect laces, perfect upper.
Unfortunately, they are similar to nimbus for toebox, and smaller than Nimbus 23.
    Bye Bye Asics!

Nice video ! Happy to know they reduce the weight and make it less rigid ! I don't know yet if I'm gonna buy the shoe for my rotation but that's an option.
You made a small confusion at the beginning at the video because you're comparing the glideride 3 to the evoride 2.

I have the Glideride 2. I find them clunky and super stiff midsole. ... They felt very comfortable but after the run I had extreme pain in my hips.. I was on painkillers for 2 days just to be able to walk.. (never had it before or since), I think it made me run in a way that was not suitable for me being a heel striker and a slow runner. I think that the 3 is more suitable. I have the Nimbus 24 which is very comfortable and really stable.. The weight was killing my hamstring the first long runs but I got used to it.. Nusa 14 can be interesting as well.

Shoes with stiff rockers take the load from the ankle and push it up to the hip. Strengthen your hips or stay away from stiff rockered shoes.

I hope that this version 3 is better then the previous one so it can match the New Balance 1080v11 in the rocker, stability and durability of the outsole.
I overpronate a bit and for me the GR2 did not hold well my ankle well , even when it was super rigid in the heel. While the 1080 had a very soft heel counter that could hold my heel much better and with more confort too.
And I'm not sure if it is the low drop (5mm) of the GR2 that made me strike with the heel and the rubber in there was not durable at all ...

I love the GlideRide2 - they are my go to. I have three pairs. Unfortunately it does look like both the Evoride and Glideride 3 will not come in a wide - and Asics just runs a bit too tight across the forefoot width for me. I tried the regular but too tight on that little toe and narrow. I have wider high volume feet which means I need the room (no desire to have that sausage experience). I'm super bummed. I've already got extra pairs but also picked up a pair of Noosa Tri 14 to see if that works. WOW the width on that one in a medium (women) is way wider than my Evoride or Glideride. Plenty of room in a regular width.

I think its too soft for people with knee issues and its very high stack. Some reviewers are stating that the drop is more than the started 5mm and more like 10mm...high drop is not good for knee issues.
