Started following and learning from Chris, Blair Enns, and David Baker. Charged my first multiple thousand dollar project after reading both Bllair and Davids books, then tens of thousands on the next project, then multiples of tens of thousands on the next...
I never thought I could charge so much, my beliefs in my own value was my limiting factor.

@@roody_io for me it was a mindset shift. Listen to Blair and David, and reading their books essentially helped me make that shift. I'd say that the largest part was my own perception and belief had to change before I could start changing my actions around that

When i started designing clothes 2 years ago, people told me to be affordable, otherwise not many people will buy it. I didn't listen. I started at £250 and i had some customers who told me to raise my prices. Customers travel for 2hours to come to me. Now my prices starts from £700.

perfectionism is the attachment to an old identity stuck in the belief of "I'm not good-enough."
True creative freedom happens when you shift your operating system perfect ---> a masterpiece and a work in progress.
This way you climb the first and second mountains of 'success' simultaneously.

I went up on my price several times because of what I learned from you. Same kind of curiosity , how high can I go. First raises didn’t affect my clients number, showing I wasn’t charging enough. I learned about that time that in my one man crew the worker was getting paid well but the business owner , advertiser, accountant, driver/estimator was getting paid NONE.
I finally got to the point where my customers often tell me that my job bids are higher than others . So now(!) I can proudly tell them back that “I’m worth it”. Not to my surprise people reply “that’s what I heard” to that . And then we make the deal. People wanna be sure before they sign up.. and willing to pay extra for that. That’s how I feel about it now. I used to feel sorry for charging “too much”.

Maybe because it's hard, and sometimes it's useless because you may not understand or fathom the circumstances this personay be in.
For me I may say and share what is standing between me and success because I'm not in a country that give you the opportunity to be successful, like the success we see online, or my dreams, I may be a successful person but there is a limit to my success, and it's geographic limit.

Chris, thank you for saying that your greatest advantage is living in the United States. No one appreciates the privileges and opportunities of this country like immigrants do. I hope people, especially young people, come to realize how they're being manipulated by all forms of media to think negatively about themselves and the nation. The U.S. is not without faults but among all of the nations of the world, it is unique in its diversity and level of opportunity. Thank you.

I’m not there. But I believe what you say is true. I have no idea what I am capable of. And I’ll never find out if I don’t try.
And it can be scary, but just because there is a fear or phobia doesn’t mean I can’t try it out.
    Good notes
    1. You can do it but I can’t
    2. We can do it tmmr
    3. I’m not prepared yet
Failure and Bafoonery is the cost of entry to succeeding in life.
“Ok I don’t understand it, I don’t have a perfect plan, but I think I’m capable of doing it, I’m not totally on it but I’m gonna do it.”

Self doubt and fear are the killers of dreams! If you put in the work and are consistently honing skills, then you have every right to raise your prices and go after better and bigger clients/contracts.
    "I must not fear.
    Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Mindset is such a difficult one to shift. No denying that you are partly to blame for me winning a £14k web design project last month, yet 10 years ago I was charging £10 a month 💥❤️
And we’ve only just started 💡

In the last few weeks I closed 2 deals that total over six figures and a gross profit that you’d deem healthy. The one deal is all strategy. It allowed me to hire world class experts to do most of the heavy lifting for me. The other deal I’ve trained someone up to implement most of it. My role has evolved to being a facilitator. And I don’t really get hired as the “video guy” anymore. While I didn’t jump to $30k an hour yet, I’m still testing where my ceiling is.

Excellent video, Chris! As a new creator who works in physical art, most business/ sales/ marketing advice available doesn't quite fit the bill. However, I must admit that the proper mindset IS critical. When I was a wee lad, my maternal Grandmother told me, "If you think you can or you think you can't, you're RIGHT!".
