Oh I looked at the stock on mine, and just behind and above the grip where you taped yours, I found that's a casting line from the plastic molds. It was also quite sharp on mine. A careful go over with a fresh exacto blade, and a light sand with some 600 and it was smooth as a baby's bottom. Thanks for the heads up before I head out this weekend. 👍
Considering getting this or a 10/22 soon. Main appeal for me is since I’m in the US I get 20 round mags standard versus the 10rnd rotary magazines you get with the Ruger
Get a 10/22. I got one of these heaps for my Granddaughter and it locked up after 25 rds. Such bullshit they have a fix but left it in the market with the weak AF receiver cap. On a 4-6 week wait now…
Hello I am having bolt lock up plastic receiver end cap do you know of any fixes for it or have you had that problem 30 rounds is all it took for it to fowl up
Ralph , there is a vidoe on here that addresses a fix to your problem. It is very common with this model 22lr and the Savage 64. It happened to mine and I made the part and it fixed the problem. ua-cam.com/video/hCKa_XYnyYs/v-deo.html
Which bipod did you get? Have the same rifle and need a bipod but curious which attachment style you used. Interested in the one you had posted in the pic on the video.
I was very curious if your model 64 precision came with that vertical foregrip, or did you have to add it? I am seriously thinking about purchasing the savage 64 precision and I really want a vertical foregrip. Did you put it on yourself or have a gunsmith put it on?
The Savage 64 Precisions stock has MLOK slots on the bottom and sides. You can attack any MLOK accessories yourself with a hex screw driver. The one I have on there is the Magpul MVG foregrip.
@@bats8888 yeah, I think I’ll try the deck of cards method, or maybe I’ll line the edge of a piece of paper directly through the middle of the barrel and then line the vertical reticle up against the edge of the paper, I’ve heard that’s a technique that marine scout snipers use
I purchased one a month ago and have shot it several times with 10 different ammo brands. Ive had misfires, failure to feed, stovepipes, failure to eject, etc. What ammo did you get to run the best? What does everybody here use as match ammo?
You’re not the only one. Mine will not cycle properly used 4 or 5 different ammos and I can never get more than one shot off without a stove pipe. EVERY time.
@@kobyjames1140just use the 10 round mags. Problem solved. Also. Load your 20 round mags to the brim and store them away.. They will work better after a couple weeks of being fully compressed. U can also just load about 10-13 rounds in the 20 round mags. They should work fine. I shot about 100 rounds at the range yesterday and only got jammed up when I loaded more than 13 rounds. Was using the white Winchester box of ammo
Be mindful not to rest the gun on the 20rd mag. It's easy to do as mine touches the bench before the bipod legs do when fully collapsed. But everytime I start having issues, I notice it's me bumping the mag off the bench. Mostly failure to feed but starts acting up in other ways as well. Also I cannot run winchester .22 bulk ammo in this thing, but then again, I wouldn't recommend anyone run that. It's just terrible.

Good vid and good shooting 👊 I'm getting the exact model Friday for me and my dad!

You can get BX-25 mags for the 10/22. I'm pretty sure you can even get drum mags for it.
The savage 64 is the only semi auto .22 rifle on the market with a steel receiver. That's why I got mine. Didn't want a pot metal receiver 😂

The rounds are staggered. And yes, the rock and lock is how you load the 64
Savage 64 is definitely not a rock and lock. The magazine slides straight in
Pretty sure I saw a clip of this on Reddit? Just bought one myself, hasn't been nice enough to get it out yet, but hoping to this weekend.
I post small clips on Reddit too, if you saw it on CanadaGuns, it was probably me.

I did not experience any problems. You should contact the manufacturer, see if they can help fix it.

I just have a small section of pic rail and then I have a cheap pic rail bipod from Amazon. It uses a thumb screw to take on and off.

@@bats8888 thank you so much for your quick response. I really appreciate it thank you that is a big help and I enjoy your videos.👍
How did you level your scope and should I worry about using a level to level it or can I just eyeball it. I don’t have a gun vice either.
I just eyeballed it. I don't think it's necessary for plinking or hunting within 150 yards with .22lr

You got a link for the mags?
If you're in Canada, search them up on arsenalforce.ca
Could you drop the link for the scope?
I don't want to link it because it might be against UA-cam TOS. Look up "Visionking Rifle Scope 1.25-5x26 Riflescope 30 mm" on amazon
