Might be tough with Van Ness out for the season.
Younger and Olejnik I think may have impressed me the most! Both looked great. Yonger s just so talented and explosive! Olejnik is just making huge improvements! Both have started out the year incredibly!
Whoa! Ramos as a JAG! Bold take but I laud the courage.
I got a bad case of the flu today guys...still looking forward to the show!
Pyles said Kennedy certified at 57 this year
I love Shane Griffith, but I think he's gonna struggle this year. School transfer, jumping up a weight, and considering graduation last year all factors that make me worried for him this season!
Messenbrink one word….. Champion
Guys, PSU never goes to cklv. Not in last 15 years anyway
Got my t-shirt yesterday (I think). Thanks, you two bring a smile to my face!
Watched Michigan's Cam Amine flame out at CKLV going into a prevent defense to protect a late lead against Oklahoma State Olejnik. I love when guys lose because they shut it down with a small lead
Amine's game is to bore the other guy to death until he gets frustrated and then takes a sloppy shot which he counters for a TD and then he stalls the rest of the match. Rinse and repeat.
@@erichvonmanstein8980Will Lewan is the same way. I enjoy watching that style fail
@@dramaking9377 Totally agree....two peas in the same pod.
Max Gallagher is a pretty good wrestler so Drake Ayala's win was not bad, but Drake needs some work on top. He's gotten several late TDs in periods and couldn't get a 15 second ride out.
Putting Kennedy out there for ISU was one thing but throwing him out there not in condition is doing nothing but breaking his confidence. Tough enough moving up without a weight issue. Drake Rhodes is a decent backup 165, let Kennedy get in shape. Terry.
Shapiro was wobbly and indicated dizziness. The failure of Cornell or the ref or someone to call for concussion protocol was near criminal! Surely they would have checked before allowing him to wrestle in the next two matches>>
Also, Van Ness is out for the season!
Fix got hurt
Thanks!
Great job as always!
Why can’t a tourney like this be held in a facility with ACTUAL SEATING for thousands.
We love Lehigh.. After PSU
Wayne is right about neutral danger. Some refs are too slow to start counting!!
Hi C.P.
Fix, Vito, Schults, Hendrikson, Cumacho, Lewis, etc. all need to stop being bums haha imagine how sick this tournament could have been?!?! Why can't we get more massive tournaments like this each year?!?!
I think the most important thing to remember with a lot of these wrestlers is that Thanksgiving just passed many of them probably had issues with keeping weight or not keeping up with their training I know for a fact that is what occurs with a lot of the Penn State wrestlers their coaches, give them a lot of leeway, and they never perform that good after holidays Might be some issue again in early January. 58:57
PSU won't break the record now that Van Ness is out for the season
If they don’t recruit someone, IMO they will wrestle David Evans at this weight.
Love the show man! U guys are awesome!!!😎
If you guys put your t-shirts up for sale, I'd buy one. Can I just send Wayne the money? I fully trust he would mail me one.
I'm not joking this was the most grounded and realistic show cheers
After rag dolling Andonian, Myer Shapiro was dominated by Stanfords Daniel Cardenas & then bounced unceremoniously at CKLV with takedowns & riding. 157 is getting interesting after Levi looked human against Lehigh
What's a guy gotta do to get subscriber of the week and get one of those sweet BEG Wrestling shirt?
BEG for it!!!
What did Chittum place?
he didn’t . He lost to Cardenas in round of 16 , 9-8 and then he won a consi match then he got pinned by Andonian in 1:11
@@Slapthematwrestling Wayne didn’t even mention chittum. I think he had him Preseason natty champ.
Spend the $200 and get a new car.😂
😂
Eh rag dolling? Antonian felt him out and found some weaknesses. Betting next time they meet at nationals (which matters), he gets smoked
It wasn't a typical Andonian match for sure. It was a CONVINCING Schapiro win. That said I hope you're right, you don't have to be a VT fan to like Andonian
he found some weaknesses and lost 16-4?
I am a huge Andonian fan.. how can you not love watching him…but come on man he got it put on him
Agree he definitely got hammered this match.
174 is making Iowas Kennedy look bad. Its either too much weight or the gas tank still hasnt recovered
Both. Sending him out there vs ISU was one thing.....they are not doing him any favors sending him out there under conditioned, it's going to hurt his confidence.
@erichvonmanstein8980 that's an angle I didn't consider. Confidence is something that's hard to get back. He should've transferred out.
PSU vs Lehigh:Nagao was easily handled by Crookham. Messenbrink & Starocci were absolutele studs. Bartlett, Haines were surprisingly rusty looking. Truax had a tech but the wrestling was sloppy IMO, maybe Brooks spoiled me at 184. The B-team guys at 125, 149 & 197, underwhelmed. Kerk was dominant
Cmon man. Don’t be a PSU hater . Those guys looked great!
@@joelp-2096I'm a big PSU guy. I just call it like I see it.
Steen is not the answer at 125. Robbie Howard has been over-rated for 3 years. Heck, he was 7-6 two years ago (when healthy). He is supposedly "back" and he has a losing record this year (vs un-ranked wrestlers). He is a very mediocre wrestler.
Brandon Davis beat Steen 10-2 a couple of weeks ago. Davis is clearly the answer at 125. What else does he have to do in order to earn the starting nod?
Van Ness is out for the year. Penn State will win the national championship, but the 170 all-time points is out of reach.
Kasak looked pedestrian vs Lehigh. He will garner very few points at nationals.
Feldman has the be the most over rated guy to come out of high-school. He is done growing. He will.never be big enough for heavyweight to be elite. He is injury prone as well wrestling bigger guys all the time. He is never going to be. A top guy too short.
Van Ness out for the season , No chance Penn ST comes close to breaking NCAA points record
I agree. But, I think Kasak can AA.
Let’s be honest, Ohio State doesn’t develop talent….
OSU isn’t lookin like OSU football. And they are on the down low also.
