15hcp VS 7000+ Course | BREAKING TIM AND JOONAS

Just over 30 days untill Tim and Joonas face their biggest challenge yet the US Open course Pinehurst number 2.
After the lesson of a life time with ‪@CogornoGolf‬ it is time to put the new skills to a test in the longest course in Finland Kytäjä Golf from the tips. Can Joonas break 90? Or will Kytäjä get the best of our 15hcp Joonas.

Couple quick thoughts:
You're doing a GREAT job with the backswing hinging----thats part 1. Keep on it. MUCH BETTER there.
When you are missing RIGHT with driver (or hitting high on face) thats still from you "holding on too much" in downswing through impact. Too much shaft lean at impact.....hands too far head. Remember in downswing that that club we need to "release" "throw" or "toss" that angle wider sooner.
-Irons solid enough for you to be in 80's regularly
-We could save 3-5 shots from improving the stuff on and around the greens pretty easily
-We could improve another 3-5 shots by getting driver better
Once you get through breaking 90 next summer you should shoot for breaking 80....I see an easy 6-10 shots there we could save with some basic stuff!
That said---I'm proud of ya! It shows you've been doing the work---keep on it!

Lets Go! What a round man, congrats and happy to see your journey. I think when you re watch the round you'll start to notice how you had a definite shot shape with certain clubs and didn't take much advantage of that. Also on the range you were keeping wide so well, and once the driver went awry you stopped trying to stay wide and breaking down again. Keep grinding man we are rooting for you.

As a former 15 handicap, I can attest that one birdie and zero pars on the front nine is exactly how my rounds have gone while the ball striking feels good, and the putter is in the freezer.

That’s a beautiful but tough course especially from the tips and not much forgiveness if you’re not in the fairway. You’re getting a lot better. Keep plugging away
