- With only 5 months left until Tim and Joonas try to break 90 and 80 respectively at TPC Sawgrass, the lads reach out to UA-cam legends @BustaJackGolf for some on-course assistance.
Can Mason Nutt and Cole Lantz coach Tim and Joonas to shaved strokes or will the boys CRACK under the pressure?
Welcome to episode 2 of Breaking Tim & Joonas. The Takomo series where these TakoBros have 6 months to break their goals at one of the world's toughest courses, TPC Sawgrass. They have a lot of work to get their games in shape if they want to nail these lofty goals.
I for one, the guy writing this description, think the boys have no chance... Can they prove this lowly copywriter wrong? Let's find out.

Note:
I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night and binged watch every UA-cam golf video ever put out. You gotta love those energy drinks.
Hockey slap, Jonas, equals your fade?
Practice swings, before the first hole.
I swing the driver ten times, first left hand, then right hand to help determine my club path. Now ten times both hands.
Don't laugh, my goal for well over forty years, was, to KILL it.
Result: over the top, casting, no control of direction, bingo, slice.
As you practice these swings in crease the club head speed and listen to the noise it makes. Get used to the path and speed?
By the time you get on the first tee, your kind of tired, slower, smoother strike, straighter ball flight?
Never be afraid to hit your driver, in the fairway, under a tree with no back swing. A good stiff little punch will advance your ball quite a ways without a full swing.
Think outside the box and try different stuff, enter Tiger putting with a three wood, Phil hitting in the wrong direction with wedge and the ball going behind him. Practice
Practice.
PRACTICE!!!
might have to revise those handicaps fellas
Absolute favorite kind of content. Getting Masons and Coles feedback/thought process during the round is something missing from UA-cam. Especially when it's someone else putting them in situations they themselves wouldn't normally be in.
some great content. love to see the coaching and players enjoying themselves. goes to show that having a caddy and coach on the course does improve your game, especially when it comes to putting
Actually enjoyed this and i hope the next round goes better.
Wow, those greens sound like they were made of marble. So hard to get close. Good job by all.
That’s a narrow course! Fun watch!!
Confidence is everything. This round was all about trying "not to screw up." Never works. You don't go to jail from a bad round, so next time think like a pro and smash it! I'll be watching...
Team Takomo! 😎
Man i gotta try these irons one day. Great video guys
"Coach can't play the game." - Mason 💪
Why does Joonas sound 100% like The Swede” from the show Hell on Wheels? I have the 101’s and I’ve never liked an iron more. Wish they had a bit more spin though.
These guys are subliminal….Tim and Jonas are in good hands….granted I just started watching.
Joonas just needs to in & out his swing more, instead of out to in.
Tim, you know I am going to say to try another putter grip ( maybe 1 size larger 2.0 size non tapered ). Your irons are solid as hell!
Maybe Jonas should try the 101’s
Hi guys. Tim im feeling like you so need to work on your 4 to 12ft putts, up hill, down hill, straight left to right, right to left all with feel of weight. Better management of the course. Jonas I feel like you need to not only relax your grip off the tee, also shoulders should be relaxed, not tense. A-linement to allow for your fade, understand your fade. Management of the course, better feel on your off the green chips, and feel in your putts. Learn about chip and run and also the flop shot both with imagination and feel. Don't be afraid to be creative.
If Jonas played with a decently stronger grip, that slice would only show up a few times each round. He has the distance, just needs to figure out the club face at impact & it would make a world of difference for his game. For him, I'd start at 3 knuckles visible, then as he gets better, gradually get down to 2 knuckles, & his game would improve much quicker. Just my 2 cents, but I'm no pro.
Jonnas needs to work on body control and just a lot of reps to get more consistent. To me, Tim needs to work on how to hit with much less effort and maybe more club. Like use one more club at 75% instead of a maxed out swing. Both need work on wedge work and putting. Tim might benefit from Aimpoint.
Hey Takomo golf, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made.
I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel
Tim was doing fine on the front 9. Busta should stick to hitting ridiculous duck-hook slingers and leave the instructions to someone else. He banged Tim's whole round. All Tim needs is a putting lesson.
dtgd. fudge yeah!
