i just wanted to let you know i've tried like 8 products you've recommended since i started watching your videos, and they're ALL great. thank you!! it's so nice feeling more empowered buying products based on ingredients rather than marketing tactics. and they actually do what i want them to, and i dont waste my money. so thank you!! yours are by far the most helpful beauty videos i've ever used in the 10 years i've been watching beauty YT.

I mix a pea sized amount of Olaplex No.6 with a couple sprays of the Pureology Color Fanatic spray to thin it out a bit. It works really nicely on my fine, low density hair for when I braid it back and air dry.

I used it’s a 10 for several years and a few months ago switched to the pureology leave in spray and I’m OBSESSED! I have pretty fine hair and it doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, it’s honestly perfect for me. I love the bumble and bumble one too but it’s just a little too heavy for my hair sadly

The best detangling spray is the loreal 10 in 1 I have used it for four years and haven't found anything better for my hair. My hair is bleached and detangles, gets rid of frizz, is a heat protectant, protect against UV. Doesn't leave build up in my hair at all. You should try it!

Your suggestion to use purology leave in spray.... is such a game changer. I have super thin easily dry and damaged hair. I deal with a lot of frizz as well and often time things just sit on my hair without absorbing. It's completely changed my hair! Thanks girl for having our backs! ❤😂

@Rowri88 I actually use redkin leave in conditioning concentrate as my heat protection. I like how moisturizing it is! I use the purology for a lighter moisturizing spray on my ends on my clean hair days. I will say that this spray has a special place in my hair it was the first product I used to start off my healthy hair journey and it hydrated my damaged straw like ends. I also use it for my heatless waves.

Also my two favorites are the daily dose miracle spray and the milkshake incredible milk. They're both more of a thicker cream formula but spray fairly nicely if you press on the nozzle quickly with good force. They make my hair so soft and shiny, plus they smell amazing. The daily dose smells like sweet candy and the milkshake is a combination of vanilla cake and butterscotch. I've also been looking into the odele detangling tonic and the marc anthony grow long leave in. I like to rotate my products lol

I know this is an old video but one of the best leave in conditioners/detanglers I have found is Johnson’s No More Tangles kid & Toddler. Amodimethicone is 2nd ingredient, glycerine is #3. Doesn’t contain any oils, which is ok with me since I only want the oils on my mids and ends and I’m picky with my oils. I also love Purology Color fanatic & Moroccanoil leave in.

Pureology felt so waxy on my hair - I sprayed only 5 sprays one day- 6 the next - I have a large head full of lots of hair that’s i guess … fine? I use small amounts of product because if not it gets weighed down.
But detangling and leave in is a must so I don’t damage my hair while brushing with my wet brush.
One to three sprays simply wouldn’t be enough.

I might try the Coco Natural Conditioning Spray. It looks like it is the only one that is synthetic fragrance/parfum free. I would love to see your favorites / that are synthetic parfum / fragrance free. I know unscented is nearly impossible in hair care as there are so many oils used. I am one of those super sensitive to scents people. I've seen you focus on fragrance / parfum free in skin care due to sensitive skin ( I have that too I am so lucky). Hope you can add more about that into hair care as hair care can also end up on the skin. Sensitivity example I tried on a jacket at REI over my t-shirt and I got a rash on my arms within an hour just from whatever chemicals were in the sleeves of the jacket either from manufacturing or from someone else trying it on and leaving lotion, parfum, or something behind. Thanks for all of your awesome videos. I have learned a lot and my hair thanks you.

@@suziealthens1258 I bring my own products to the salon. I explained my issue to my hairdresser. She is absolutely ok with it and gives me a teeny discount since I’m not cutting into her products. Also, bring my tymo ring cause so product build up on her flat iron doesn’t get on my hair.

For review suggestions, please let us know what you think of Kérastase overnight treatments, meant to hydrate, nourish and detangle while you sleep. They sound like similar products but the first one is more for damaged, lightened hair. Which ever one you choose needs to be massaged into lengths and ends of hair on dry unwashed hair before going to bed. No need to rinse in the morning.

I’ve watched many of your videos- and I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU! I struggle with hair loss due to a medical condition, and have loved all your tips and tricks! I’ve recently cut silicones out of my hair routine so that my hair can actually get the benefits of the hair products I use (where I wouldn’t if my hair shaft were covered with a silicone like dimethicone)….. What are your thoughts on silicones? Could you please do a video on that? I know that some brands use water soluble or PEG/PPG silicones… but a lot of the products you recommend (and that I used to use like Bumble and Bumble invisible oil), have NON water soluble silicones, and I want to understand how our hair can receive the benefits if it’s shaft is coated in silicone? I’ve been going crazy with this, and would love to know your in depth thoughts 💗

I agree!! its making me crazy to thinking about that! I am using olaplex but if i use BB invinsible oil, olaplex can not even penetrate the hair or i should use a clarifying shampoo every time i wash my hair right?

    • @ellan1664
      @ellan1664 2 роки тому

@@TheDreamymy I only use very silicone-heavy sprays (e.g. in the top 3 ingredients) in the day or two before I use a clarifying shampoo so that I can make sure my expensive mask/treatment products won't be going to waste. Because I also have a lot of silicones already in my products such as my conditioner and leave-in.
Also many regular shampoos can probably remove non-water soluble silicones just fine. Strong clarifying shampoos (like mine) often have sulfates which might be too strong for many people to use more than once a week, so in regular shampoos you could look out for other surfactant ingredients such as Cocamidopropyl betaine which will help remove silicones. One of my go-to shampoos with cocamidopropyl betaine is Hempz triple moisture, and I have yet to ever experience any bad silicone build-up

Thanks for making these videos! Are you sure that quaternary ammonia compounds are ok for health? I know those compounds can cause respiratory or skin issues when included in cleaning products. I’m so surprised to hear it’s included in hair care and need to look out for it.

Thanks, Abby! I have been looking for a good leave in conditioner for my curly, frizzy hair. Due to aging, my formerly voluminous fine hair is now also thinning and sometimes breaking. I just started using Bumble shampoo and conditioner which I love and will continue to use. I tried Pureology too, but Bumble is even more moisturizing for my hair. I formerly used Nioxin to help with hair loss, but it is so hard to distribute through my hair I felt I was pulling more out than it could save since it does not lather at all. I am also an AG fan and have been using their Firewall for years with my flat iron. Nevertheless, I will try the IGK, which I had never heard of, because in addition to the conditioner, it has strengthening ingredients.

I would love a video of products that don’t contain coconut. I’m super allergic and it is so hard to find products that don’t have coconut or coconut derivatives. I wish I could tolerate it, I know it’s beneficial in so many ways. But it makes me missssserable.

I have blonde long high lift colored hair. I have a problem with my hair after I snorkel in the ocean if there is no fresh water shower to rinse the salt water out and I can’t get to my shower till evening my hair is a matted mess the rest of the day. Is there a leave in conditioner that I can spray in and then get a brush through with salt water still in my hair?

Heyy Abbey!! I wonder if you could make a video/say your thought about using hyaluronic acid in hair? This has become very popular through TikTok recently. I tried it, and my hair looked and felt amazing afterwards. BUT I am a bit sceptic because the way the acid works is that it attracts water to the hair, so is that a good thing in the long run??? Thinking about hygral fatigue etc. Hope you or someone else here have some thoughts about this💗💗
