I’m actually a backpacker rather than a paddler, but I really enjoy your videos. Your warm and friendly presentation and emphasizing the backcountry experience is so refreshing. So many backpacking videos are just the presenter telling me “you have to do this because ‘ultralight’” or “you have to do this because ‘kilometres’”, it’s like they don’t even enjoy the trip. Agree about the Highland Park BTW, and thanks for turning me on to the OvaEasy eggs, they are the best. Thanks again for the videos, say hi to Emma 👋

We do it to enjoy time in the backcountry, but we also like to push and challenge ourselves sometimes with kilometers and lightweight packing, but for us, it should never be the focus and it can misguide others that may have different comfort levels. I'm so glad I stumbled on to your channel. I really like how you present the experience to the viewers, both informative and straight forward capturing the beauty of it all. I do solo trips with my dog and kayak fishing in northern Wisconsin, lots of lakes and portages. There is something so satisfying about a trip that takes you to remote areas and challenges you both physically and mentally. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures. A dog like Emma makes the explorations more enjoyable.

Goldens are very ‘mouthy’ and she has a bit of a fixation sometimes. We are working to try and reduce this habit now as it can make her sick when she gets carried away.
Love watching your videos and watching Emma loving the water . Saddened tho to see you drinking alcoholic beverages , i have seen so many families ruined by alcohol . Nothing wrong with tea or coffee . Water is best . Enjoy your trip .

What brand/model is the pup’s jacket? Want one like that that isn’t too bulky.
It’s an old Outward Hound. She’s outgrown this one and we’ve switched to Ruffwear which is a bit bulkier but she seems totally comfortable in it
